How would you bridge if the cue ball is frozen to the rail?
I think this requires a video on its own. Thanks for the suggestion.
The shot that’s made me look daft a few times, where you try and play it slow off the cushion and you miscue and drag your cue over the top of the white , watching with interest if you do a video on that
Great tips. I’ve just joined my local pub team and played my first league game (lost). Only ever played for fun before. I feel like every other shot I play is a hampered one so these are great tips.
You’re welcome.
For someone who don't really mind cueing over this made It so simple and definitely something I will try
im 65 yrs old..played pool since i was 15, at an average level..still learning..thanx for the videos...
Glad they help.
Superb advise, Mick.
Keep them coming. Your knowledge to us very average players is welcome.👏🏻
Thanks, will do!
When cueing over another ball to get at the cue ball, you mentioned hitting center cue ball is difficult and can easily impart side. A great way to overcome this is to look at cue ball last, not the object ball. IMHO and experience of my own struggles, and assuming alignment is correct, this is the most important factor in hitting the ball where you want it to go. After success with this technique/type of shot I now also do this on every shot, and it particularly transformed my long game.
Best video have seen on the topic. The extra pressure on the tips is such a great concept and not intuative for everyone but makes compelte sense when you actually practice it.
Thank you for great videos.
You’re welcome. Thanks for watching.
Fair play to you Mick for all your helpful and informative videos. They are so easy to follow as your explanations are on point. Thanks again and best of luck with your own game.
Cheers. Glad you like them.

Thanks, will do!
Another great video Mick, crystal clear and simple for everyone of any skill level to understand. I have an Incredible amount of respect for you and the way you play the game. Viewing from Australia.
Cheers! Glad you like them
Enjoyed that short, sharp and simple. I have always been okay bridging over balls but you are making me think about the rail shot. Keep up the great work. 👍👏👏
Will do. Glad it helped.
Another class video Mick.
Cheers!
Precise and excellent tips as always !
thanks!
Hi mick big fan of yours I always love watching you play. Have you thought of doing a tough table challenge or a similar challenge people can do?
Yes we have discussed it a few times.
thank you Mick
you're welcome
Top man, hope you do a hundred more videos
That's the plan!
Like the idea. I'll have a go. Another good video
thanks
Hi Mick can you do a vid on pre shot routine ? I find it difficult to remember to do one lol
Great suggestion
Great tip Mick. Excuse the pun 😊
Good advice!👍...How did the term chinese snooker come about?
🤷♂️
Great vid although perhaps hard to explain a video on the mentality / pressure and how to deal with it would be awesome i tend to forget how to play when counts
Thanks for the idea!
Cheers Mick, being 6"5' I still find these shots surprisingly difficult. Will practice later.
I bet you don't need the rest much!
True story.
What’s with the Dexter TV set backdrop? 😂
👀 🤫
Whilst i'm here and watching, just picking up on playing off the rail shots. I can't be the only one that misses a lot of these shots due to sticky hands regardless of whether they've just been washed or not! Is there any tips for overcoming that sort of issue Mick?
We’ll add the question to the list we have for the next Q&A video. 👍
Mick quick question, does your chin press down on the cue when you play or is there a slight gap.when i mean press down do you feel the cue slide on your chin throughout the backswing?
We’ll add it to the list of questions for the next Q&A video. 👍
Thank you and not just for replying to my comment but for also creating this channel .if I ever had to learn this game from someone it would be from the GOAT himself "Mick the forking Machine"🍻.
you're welcome!
What table is that you are using mick
It’s a SAM Atlantic Champion from SAM leisure.
Another fascinating insight ....thank you .
Glad you enjoyed it
What are people's views on using either the spider or bridge if playing 9-ball which Americans call the rest, when playing over another ball even if it can be reached without it?
And by bridge in 9-ball, I mean the one with multiple heights, rather than just the two heights with the cross rest in snooker.
As someone with shovels for hands and fingertips that won't bend. I genuinely cannot get over that wanky hand when bridging over the balls. As a league player, it's totally embarassing!
🤣
