- In 2008 and 2009, V-Cube was the single best cube company in the world. Their cubes were revolutions, some of them being the first in their class. So why does no one use them any more?

I think they've remade the flat v cube 6 (no I'm not talking about the v cube 6b) because I ordered the flat one to see how bad it was and when I got it, it didn’t have a clicking mechanism.
I remember watching that 6x6 video on my 26.4k modem speed. Took forever to download!
Wow. Funny I've been out of cubing for about 10 years and just got back into it. Now I see why I can't find any stickers for my Vcube7. Lol. Guess I should've ordered an extra set from cubesmith back then huh.

Yeah definitely. They're in a way the biggest speedcubing company ever. No cube, to this day, has ever been so widely used as people's main as the Zhanchi, more people used it as their main than any other cube ever, and for a longer period of time than any other cube ever. It was the top dog for _years_
But every new cube, while better, seems to only last about 6 months before it's replaced by a better one, and the variety of mains is far greater these days. Like, some people use Gan, but not _everyone_ uses Gan. Back in the day, everyone used a Zhanchi. That was just the only top option. It set more world records than any other cube
And now yeah Dayan are back with a new 3x3 that's actually very competitive. Very very good. Not gonna be absolutely everyone's main, but certainly a lot of people's.
Plus their new megaminx is the best megaminx. Plus it's very pretty. It doesn't have the garish ridges that other ones do, yet it has a very subtle groove so it's very easy to turn and manipulate, and the magnets work perfectly, it controls like a dream

I would accept vcube if the products were cheaper I am going to do a comparison on An example of MoYu MFJS because I don't want to do everysingle brand
2x2 MFJS $3 turns pretty good rarely pops
2x2 Vcube $8 Okay turning and pops
3x3 MFJS $8 The turning is okay but corncutting aint bad
3x3 Vcube $11 Shat turning What's cornercutting
Imma skip 4x4 and 5x5 because long comments suk
MFJS 6x6 $15 The turning is fantastic but the corner cutting suffers
V cube 6 $30 *clik* *pop*
MFJS 9x9 $30 Tiny fits in hand turning quality is jawdropping dont corner cut though

IF the v cubes was half the price of a MFJS for example It would be okay because sure turning quality is bad but it's cheap but they are expensive and not good
Kids don't buy v cube buy from anything else, even rubik's is better then v cube
