How do you just keep on improving your content?! You're amazing! This was such a fun video, thank you so much for putting so much effort into making it
When i was a freshman, I ended up friends with, at the time, the 7th fastest speed cuber in North America. Watching his hands fire was like watching a surgeon's precision and a cup stacker's dexterity. One day he handed me a skewb and jokingly told me to solve it. Having actually no experience in any puzzle of this nature, it took me 1h25m. He was impressed so he handed me a traditional 3x3. I could have looked up the answers, but i felt that the fun of the puzzle was solving it. I took 3 months, about 20 hours total, studying the movement of the cube and making my own algorithms. In the end, i simplified all movement down to 6 algorithms--in 3 months, 6 very inefficient algorithms. I later solve the algorithms for the pyraminx in 20m and a 2x2 in 4m. I'm not a speed cuber, but with my method I average 48s and 16 seconds on skewb. That feeling of completion and persistence had me realize that after those 20 total hours, I made something that was just mine, and like you are with this video, it is something I am proud of.
It took me almost 3 years to get as fast as you got in one month. When I first saw this video I actually looked at it as a goal. Now I'm averaging around 30s. So I made it. But now I'm working toward sub-20.
I love the way this channel edits and puts together videos but damn it feels so impressive that they managed to get Mr Rubik himself to be in this video

Bethany Boerger, exactly! I'm just starting off on my cubing journey, but I'm deep in the nerd territory, and I'm one of the few women I ever see!
Bruh she’a literally using a Rubik’s Brand
@@nabranestwistypuzzler7019 so what? Like, yeah, it's not a great cube, but at that point in her journey and the kind of cube she got, it's not going to hinder her too much.
@@S1mpronia lol ikr us girls are so rare in this community
Awesome video! It's always nice to see something about cubing from someone who knows what they're talking about. One thing though: I understand that Red Bull Mindgamers is your sponsor. But could you at least mention, that the WCA exists? Otherwise people new to the subject might think that Red Bull is somehow the governing body of speedcubing.
So very well done. Most people have no clue about cubing -- this engages them at their level in the most fresh and exciting way.
As a speedcuber, this video was actually fantastic and gave good insight into the hobby. Glad you could join the club!
That montage where you were training in speedcubing was so badass, I cannot

Great video Sabrina.
As an adult who picked up a Rubik’s cube for the first time a few months ago because his nephew “needed help” in fixing his Christmas cube aka I had to learn how to solve the cube.
I picked it up and haven’t put it down.
However you took cube emersion to an entire new competitive level and I throughly enjoyed watching your journey.
Thanks for sharing and best of luck with your channel.

I always wondered how people jump on the bed like that without getting hurt and now I think that whenever anyone does that they do get hurt, but not everyone is willing to admit it.
meanwhile me: *spends weeks trying to solve a rubik cube once and never scramble it again after that because it looks so beautiful now*
How do you just keep on improving your content?! You're amazing! This was such a fun video, thank you so much for putting so much effort into making it
U inspire me to do things I absolutely do not need to do,,,,,,, thank u
49 seconds is pretty fucking awesome.
I spent 20 minutes getting a side once.
Cringe
Who was that friend?

Okay , definetly one of the best new youtube channels out there!
Great!
I thought the Rubik’s cube was older. Genuinely surprised to find out that the inventor of it is still alive.

Technically there are people who have gotten even under 3 seconds, but since it didn't happen in an official competition it isn't verified
It took me almost 3 years to get as fast as you got in one month. When I first saw this video I actually looked at it as a goal. Now I'm averaging around 30s. So I made it. But now I'm working toward sub-20.
The level of quality from this channel is amazing

Yeah idk what you’re talking about and what RUBIK’S cubes that they GIVE you at the competition?
@@nabranestwistypuzzler7019 Wow man... you really proved me wrong there... I should probably delete the comment that i did a year ago...

4:35 the time could change depending on the type of monitor you have. if you use a 60hz monitor, you could be a bit quicker with a 240hz monitor.
Speed cubing sounds like something I'd do on saturday night before I turn up for a rager.
I love the way this channel edits and puts together videos but damn it feels so impressive that they managed to get Mr Rubik himself to be in this video

When I looked at the title I was like, oh cool a world record thing, I guess I'll watch this.
When I notice it's about cubing,
WAIT THIS IS ABOUT CUBING OMG MOM GET THE CAMERA
Very high quality, you’ve gained a sub
World record was already broken. New time is sub 4 seconds.
Andrew Wilson it’s even almost sub 3
@@dextroussafe8664 Yes, but the sub 3 isn't official
@@josi7119 wdym? The record is in the WCA website. Its Official.
@@Ceyxzl I know about this record by Yusheng Du, but 3.47 is sub 4, sub 3 means under 3 seconds, for example Max Park had a time under 3 seconds, but only at home, so it's not official
Feliks still has the WR A3o5
What you do is add so many random things to your WR conditions that you eventually just stumble into the WR.
Sabrina: gets a world record at a redbull compitition
(World records don't count unless they are set at a wca compitition)
Sabrina: why does it not count?
1. Don’t go to the redbull comps , go to WCA
2. DONT USE RUBIKS BRAND
3. Make sure to breath
Insert kahoot Name yep
I wish there are more reputable organizations, not jusr WCA.
If you go to the website, wca is listed as the official partner, so it's the same i good
It is worth mentioning that many people have definitely achieved better times than the world record mentioned in the video but the solve must be in competition to be recognized as the record. Amazing video btw!

Title: I try to get a world record
Speed cube: Am I a joke to you?
Rubik’s cube: Yes, yes you are
There is a math-y Rubik's cube that has numbers in place of colors, and each surface is a number sequence of some sort. Give it a try, and see how long it takes you to figure out how to rotate the middles.
kujmous it's not a sequence of numbers, it's just sodoku on a cube
We're talking about different things. I am sure what you're describing exists, though.
I saw this video around when yor channel was at 5K or so subs (when the channel name was still "Sabrina"). Crazy to see how much your channel has grown. This video is still so good even after 3 years.
