  • The CFMOTO 450NK and it's big brother, the 800NK. ‪@spitescorner‬ and myself swap rides and see whats up. Is the 800NK the perfect upgrade to the 450NK? Is adding about twice the power make it twice the fun? Will we get mugged in Waco Texas? I don't know but I'm sure it will be fun.

Fun video ! I agree 100% with your take on how some people are judging these bike. I really think CFMOTO is going to do in this era, what the Big 4 did to motorcycling in the 1960's and 70's. I can't wait for your review of the 450 Ibex...hopefully. Cheers !

Looking forward to your actual weight and dyno measurements. Considering all the dissatisfied owner comments I've seen on the KTM Duke 790 I'd be skeptical about buying this particular model but wouldn't have a problem with the 450 or maybe one of the rumored new releases (675 triple/500 V4).

I actually just bought a new 450NK last week. I’m about to do my break-in service already. So far I’m loving this bike. It’s a lot of fun on backroads and two tracks as long as they aren’t too soft.
The throttle takes some getting used to and if you shift when the RPM’s are under 5500 it’s rather clunky. Especially 1st to 2nd. I’m hoping that will smooth out some with better oil after first service.

Really hope these bikes become more popular without driving the price up because it would be nice if it did have more aftermarket support.

You could make the same argument with Chinese Comac jets. Although not certified to fly basically anywhere except China, the new ARJ is a competitive product for the aviation industry, especially when compared to Boeings 737 max variants. No accidents to date so far for the Chinese jet yet people are afraid of it because it is Chinese

been saying this for a few years. china has been doing for the last 10/15 years what japanese did like 50 ago. now theyre not top notch. but getting there. and at a more than good pricing. im argentinian, 650s cfmoto have been rolling down here for a few years now. they have not had major problems. just lack of spare parts, but that has nothing to do with the brand cause theres a third party importer here that has been pretty crappy. (plus a rollercoaster of economy whe have down here). so, if those bikes have worked for us. they´ll work for any developed country around the world.

  • @exothermal.sprocket

It's one thing for CF Moto to produce a quality product, hopefully reliable in the long run, hopefully dealership support.
It's another thing to consider international trade, tariffs, sanctions, differences in labor between countries, manufacturing material sources, exactly why is so much China stuff so cheap in the USA. Consider it. I'm not saying what to do about it, I'm saying consider it. It's not about having a thing against the Chinese working class. It's about financial things between nations. You buy a bike, the money goes back up the chain. Also consider what a bunch of China's bikes sold in the USA does to Japan's market, Europe's market, Germany's market, Austria's market, etc. Can these other countries produce what they produce for less money than they already cost? Doubt it. How can China undercut everything else? Why is this important?
People in the USA are just fatigued over "everything China" in most retail. Our massive Nation exports our labor and products and we consume everyone else's. Meanwhile 2/3 of Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck. It's a crying shame. I'm not saying what to do about it, I'm saying consider it.

The problem with a Chinese brand is that there is no private business, every single Chinese company has to go through their government to do business. You cannot separate the company and its products from the politics of the CCP.

Well, the problem what I have with CF Moto is that you can´t compare a chinese based company with an american or european based company. Sorry, but you just can´t. I´m sudying economics and large chinese companies just exist because they are heavily funded by the communist party. To be precise, every large company in China has even an executive office that reports directly to the chinese government and that´s the difference between producing dog bowls in the US where the government stays out of your business compared to China where companies have to do everythng the governmental body inside the company says. In China everything is connected to politics because it´s an dictatorship where the leaders want to have control over everything. It´s quite concerning that so few people know or care about that. Let´s hope this doesn´t get deleted and offers some education for some of you. We should be happy to live in a free land where freedom of speech is granted and so we shoudl support companies which do that as well.

@@DashRendar308 Yeah that´s true. Chinese products are really cool and advanced but I couln´t buy them with a bad feeling. Ultimately you always have to ask yourself: Was it worth it? Would 2000$ more hurt me that hard? I condemn products from countries who descriminate people and locks them up into camps, it´s just a dystopian enviroment and iI definetely won´t contribute to that. What I might have to ad: Would you get spare parts if China invades Taiwan and stops shipping their products out of China because they need it for war. China is an enemy to the western world and they shit on everything we care for: freedom and piece

I really didn't care for him, when I watched Yammie. But the way Yammie treated him , I thought maybe I was wrong. I fully supported his own channel from day 1. But the more I have watched him, the more I have noticed little things that just rub me the wrong way. Here are some Red flags to me- He lives in Austin Texas which is well known as a Leftist Haven, He loves China, never has a bad thing to say about them. He is completely against a rider carrying firearm for self defense while riding. He says he has a firearm but he keeps it locked up in a safe (its no good to you in a safe). He seems to have no problem with globalism. He is in favor of rider laws that restrict riders. Any one of these things I might could ignore, but when you look at all of them, a pattern starts to emerge.
