For anyone wanting to learn wheelies. Just pop the clutch and immediately hit the rear brake and keep doing that while you're going higher until you have the reflex, then try to hold wheelies. Chasing wheelies would end up with you being startled because of balance point and end up trying to catch yourself by putting your feet down, which means you lose your rear brake control and eventually fall.
Mad props for droppin the ego and committing to the grom. I’ve solo’d my grom for the last year and a half for the same exact reason for getting better at wheelies. It works. Just trust the process 🤙🏻
you are on the right bike for the task. been riding 125s for 6-7 years now , and I can Swing the Grom in a wheelie in every gear. Skills transfer over to any bike too. I look forward to seeing the progress!!
@@MrTroyStone Groms are so much fun, especially when you get a little group of them together! Reminds me of being a little kid and all us neighborhood kids running around raising hell on our BMX bikes🤣
a grom is a supermoto. Its just a mini supermoto. If you think you love the grom more than any other bike, its because you havent ridden a larger supermoto. If you love a grom youd be obssessed with a DRZ400sm and a huky701sm would make your dreams come true forever
@@MrTroyStone dude grab one!! They're so moddable a lot of people like them over DRZs too they're top speed isn't too far off and after mods and a big bore kit they can keep up even with modded DRZs. Definitely a good choice. After a terrible Honda experience with my first bike I'll never own another Honda as long as I live but they're reliable for a lot of people!
My first street legal bike was a cb125r. wanted to wheelie with my a1 liscence and bought a 2020 grom, really helped alot on my journey, and now im stuck on the grom because it is the most fun bike i own, however its stuck in a garage because the sparkplug thread were completely destroyed. :(
@@regg5917 you have to time it, i had a hard time with it but the more you do it the easier it gets to time it and shift all your weight as you release the clutch 👍🏻 seat time man!
Im currently stuck at a mental block where i can get to balance point, but i wont feather the brake to keep it going. Also be careful with pushing yourself too hard. Gave myself tendonitis from doing practice for too long lol
haha im in the exact same position, ive had tons of other bigger bikes before but never learned to do a proper wheelie.. bought myself a 2017 grom and im stuck with it until I can wheelie it properly :D
I was watching and you said your sponsored by no one and i was like no way how many subs does he have ans saw you had less then 1000. I thought you for sure had 200k+
Hey boss, traded my Cbr 1000, for a fully stunted 2024 grom. I miss my big bike but I will say I’ve had so much more fun with my buddies. And I’ve learned more stunts along the way. so I’m here to grow with you man.
Those are cool, i like all the aftermarket stunt parts the grom has though, sense its so commonly used in the scene, ill be getting something new ones i have had my fun with it haha
Hey even if u dont learn to wheelie it's still good on gas so u can use it as a grocery getter and just a general work hores like this the bike u give to ur friends who have never ridden a motorcycle and they can beat on it as much as they want and it wouldent matter
What's the top speed you've gotten it to? I want it as a first bike so I don't kms but also don't wanna get run over cuz I wanted to ride the highway for a few mins 😂
A stock grom will do around 55-60 depending on your size, road conditions etc etc (iv done 3k miles on a stock so far) In places like the UK where you need a CBT before a bigger bike it's a great first bike, but id probably recommend something with abit more power for your first bike If you live else where They're great bikes though, light, fun, can go basically anywhere

Nah, man. Nothing but facts 🤣

@@bryanjames5090 balance point or you a chaser
Same bro! Just bought my grom after actually wanting one for YEARS. I'm trying to teach myself to wheelie also.
The grom will teach you how to drop back and so many fundamentals

Yeah, then there are 50's as well. I honestly reccomend learning to get the wheel up on a 50cc bike first, like a scooter for example.
Absolutely!
Plot twist: Grom becomes the only bike he ever wants to ride. Grom is the way!😁
Haha i am craving a big bike again but i do really love the grom

Subbed! looks like my grom, but i have more purple haha. Welcome to the hard stuck grom squd
You’ll be the next gromy bear keep up the good shit man
Next bike should be a DRZ400sm and then after that a Husky701sm. DRZsm= Grom lvl 2 and 701sm = grom lvl3
Good vibes 🤙🏼
Groms are one of the funnest motorcycles to ride don’t let people make ya think it’s only for dumb content. Enjoy the ride💯✊️
💀💀💀💀🤣🤣 funniest video i have seen in ages man
Keep on truckin! Nice shirt dude! Haha
😆 thank you!!
Yeah, but the grom and a full-size stunt bike are different. Like you said, the grom doesn't have any power, but you do you homie.
I will come back in 12years to see if Maverick get's to ride your bike.
Trade it in right NOW, for a freedom fighter 200cc trust. It’s valued as the same as a grom, and is better in every aspect trust

Lean back more and keep both feet on the bike unless you’re trying to circle it
