sad fact: almost ALL amber alert cases end up with the child dying (this typically occurs if the child isn’t found within the first few hours of the amber alert being issued)
Where I’m from, most cases are actually just things like a divorced parent picked up the child without the other parent knowing, but in kidnapping/abduction cases, unfortunately yes.
About a year ago, at around 2:30 AM, we received an amber alert that someone IN OUR TOWN about a 15-20 minute walk away was shot, and the assailant had not been caught. The issued alert said to not leave our house and lock our doors. The man was caught about 30 minutes later.
The reason why the red screen had 2 voices in 2 languages is because it is a Canadian amber alert, and Canada has 2 official languages: English and French, and when alerts happen, they must be spoken in all official languages.
I always found it disturbing that an AMBER alert will hit everyone. I was at a mall this year, and a kiddnapping occured, so we all got an AMBER alert. Nothing is more disturbing then who knows how much AMBER alerts going off through a packed mall and it goes completely silent as everyone gets out their phones and we are all looking at it. 💀

My parents had a long night trying to explain to me about kidnapping and stuff. That was so scary, especially with the fact I’m very sensitive to loud sounds. I don’t remember her name or her description but she wasn’t found is all I know
I seen one amber alert, but luckily that person was found. When the test happened, I was asleep when that woke me up, I couldn’t even sleep because that sound still scares me.

For anyone who cares to read, I had insomnia when I was around 6 years old, also had a TV in my room. I remember every night at around 3am the amber alert tests would play. The first time I seen it I remember jumping out of bed into my grand parents room (looked a lot like number 1's screen) and to this day I walk out of the room when I hear an amber alert. I guess it's good that it's alarming, but can really put you on edge the first time you see one. Oh, and the first time I got one on my phone was for flash flooding, I remember throwing it out of my two story bedroom window it scared the hell out of me (I was like 11). Forgot to disable them I guess..
For safety's sake, *do not* disable emergency alerts. They're issued for a reason, and only go off in life threatening situations and during scheduled test times
I was the one who filmed no 3. At that time Texas had amber alerts 3 days in a row. There was a new amber alert that was issued right before the EAS but they did the alert the day before rather than the most recent one.
One night I woke up around 2:50 am and couldn't go back to sleep, somewhere around 3 am I was on my phone and all of a sudden an Amber Alert popped up on the screen, almost gave me a heart attack.
i remember i was 6-7 years old and i was with my mom on the couch, 2 of the same amber alerts came on her phone. i also remember i was in the car they tested an amber alert in the car and i thought it was the car breaking down. but, i got an alert once and it said: public safety alerts. I got a Amber alert for 2 siblings that got kidnapped by their own mother trying to escape from their abusive father, I don’t know what happened to them now, it makes me sick that we have to put out alerts like this because of how cruel and nasty people can be
The system used for Amber Alerts is called the Emergency Alert System. The 3 tones at the beginning and end have information for special decoders that tell them what to say and show on TV. Referring to the first entry of this video, the "jumpscare" is actually the official alarm for an amber alert. it's used so people recognize it better. The red screen amber alert is Canadian.

2:02 The Amber Alert special tone is actually a D Major Overdriven guitar riff (with a synth and percussion backdrop), scaled upward to A Minor by two whole octaves(!); this is why it is so nerve-wracking, because of the way it's scaled, how quickly it's scaled (in just 1.2 seconds!), and the scale itself going from Major to Minor, which always triggers a Flight/Fight/Freeze response. The EAS tones are a twin layered DTMF sine pulse with a VBR of 6kbps. It's technically not supposed to be used as audio, because, like the first track of CDs with data (like PlayStation and Saturn games to name a couple examples), it's just data that becomes ingratiating noise. By the by, the low layer is where the execution constants are, the upper layer is the execution instructions, which varies dependent on what is to be relayed, where, when, and if there is to be some subset of instructions to be executed (Amber Alerts/National Emergency/Testing/EAS Outage/911 Outage or Failure/X-Level Crisis). 5:14 Oh yeah. I know people who have been there. Not all of them found out in this exact manner, but the primal emotions do not differ, though actions taken definitely do, each to each. Oh, me? I'd be gathering an armed search party. #WRONGCHILDBITCH 6:00 Canada's alert system is way different; the twin layer tone is not F/F/F inducing, but would be very annoying and possibly hearing impairing at high dB. The upper tone layer is a high-low square pulse, and the lower tone layer is a constant 22khz beep. It's not generated by data. 7:16 Canadian French. ... The EAS tones will always be awful to hear, but from what I understand, they're gonna start phasing out the current system in the next few years and in its' place, a far better, less ingratiating and more informative system. It'll no longer interrupt broadcast directly and the data noise will no longer be audible. I dunno too much about it other than it being supposedly more interactive, end-user friendly, and so on.

I remember the first amber alert I can ever remember seeing was right before school, I was so terrified since I thought there was the possibility of me myself getting kidnapped, this was my first year staying home alone before going out to the bus stop so you could imagine how terrified I was, I called my mom sobbing

This one time, it was 2:55am, and my light randomly turns off. The light on my fan that had turned on, the string was shaking, like if someone had pulled it. Then, my television turned on from the living room, and the power went out shortly after.
One time that happened to me when everything was making noises and I was home alone 😭😭 turns out the power went out but I didn’t know because I didn’t have any lights on and I didn’t have my iPad with me 😭😭
I once predicted an amber alert when I was 9. So it was in the afternoon and I asked my mom, what’s an amber alert? And she said “It’s when the eas goes off to tell that a kid went missing or is abducted.” Then dinner time came. We were eating quietly, and suddenly the eas went off. It was an amber alert. My mom was shocked and asked me “where did you learn about the amber alert?” And I just said that I just thought of it. My parents were astonished that I predicted an eas- also worried for the child.
Not to be a nerd but I actually love these, the siren that could be heard in the first one is meant to get people’s attention. Also the loud 3 beeps at the beginning is to get info transmitted
I'll nerd out with you. What you witness with EAS alerts with those first beeps is called Specific Area Message Encoding (aka SAME). SAME pretty much shares bit data, in the forms of 0s and 1s, which the reciever translates. The great thing about binary is that there are many ways to transmit information based on the 0 and 1 format. It happens way faster than a human can translate, which is why the EAS is both so effective and relied upon.
I remember playing on my Xbox with my 2 brothers and my friends and suddenly, my oldest brother and my friends phones played chilling alarms at the same time, a voice started talking and started describing a missing person, I went into my parents room and heard the alarm going off on my parents TV and phones. It was scary to me, especially since my neighbor hood was very safe and nothing like that had happened in 2 years. Since then I have moved.
I’m so sorry for all the poor kids who got kidnapped. I have two Amber alert story’s. I was home, alone, when an alert came on. My parents were only gone for ten minutes, but the person they were describing looked like my baby brother, but he was right next to me. It happened a few weeks after. The person that they were describing sounded like my cousin, but I thought it was fake… little did I know it was my cousin. She’s arrived… but only 7. This happened two years ago.

My friend almost got kidnapped when at a park by a man in a red truck she said “I’m good” and ran to her house I am so thankful that she is ok and the guy is still on the run

The Texas Amber Alert siren hits different haha. I remember one coming on over the radio when i was a kid and my grandparents and I were driving home on a rainy night. It really stuck with me
The one time we got amber alert, there was a van that was parked outside of our school, 5 minutes later me and my mom were driving home, when an ear-piercing blast came over the radio, that same van had kidnapped one of my classmates, the eerie thing is that they were never seen again, along with that van. They disappeared off the face of the earth...
Sadly, the kids at #4 did not survive 😔 if you don’t know, they were smothered to death. The person that abducted them also took them to a police station where she flagged down a police officer. What a world 😖. Quick edit: if you do not know what smothering means, just think of Homer Simpson strangling bart in the Simpsons, however also cover the nose.
Fun fact: I've never seen an amber alert, and only seen one EAS alarm. The EAS was about a bear in a nearby city, which I think never arrived un my area, or closer than that. Well, I guess Finland is guite a chill place if we don't think about some smaller stuff, that can be happening.
I was born in Contra Costa County CA (still living here) I remember the exact day that scary amber alert was used. I immediately ran to my parents and didn’t hear much about what happened to the kid. Now that I’m watching this and I learned what happened. I am just in shock.
The Amber Alerts hit different in Dallas & Austin #5 was issued from KLBJ out of Austin for a Austin area Amber Alert. #3 was issued by WBAP out of Dallas-Fort Worth (birthplace of the Amber Alert, hence that siren sound as the Amber Alert siren dates all the way back to the late 1990s when it was just DFW area radio and TV stations issuing the Amber Alerts without the EAS) for a statewide Amber Alert for a kid kidnapped in San Antonio.
I think there was also a kidnapping for this: A FedEx driver was somewhere in I think Newark Texas. He kidnapped a little girl and strangled her. Im not sure what the girlor FedEx driver looked like but I think the girl had blonde hair and the kidnapper was wearing all black with a white shirt under it with a black beanie but this is just from my imagination ofc, But obviously the kidnapper was arrested! From your local person that does NOT live anywhere near Texas!
@@Weebee_lol the girl's name is Athena Strand, her death was a big headline when it happened, the driver hit her with the FedEx van then strangled her cause he knew he fucked up, then he got arrested after they found her body. in fact, the state just passed a new billed to create a new system on top of the Amber Alert for regional alerts that lowers the criteria for quicker searches of missing children called the Athena Alert.
Amber alerts horrify me . Not only the noise but the voices used for them, I break down into tears whenever I hear one - which sounds dumb but is true. I wish these things and crimes never exsisted….

Red screen one is Canadian. The creepy, indiscernible second voice message is actually just speaking French lol I think it's actually an older clip, the alarm sounds slightly different from the one used today (it sounds a little smoother, it's hard to explain until you hear it for yourself), and the voice is also different and more robotic
I am lucky because I live in the UK, we don't have amber alerts on our Phones or TV but we did get a new alert system on our phones. It is only used for national situations only. (No child abductions).

I remember back in 2015, I was at my grandparents house, working on building my Halloween costume. Well, the night before... I was asleep... i suddenly hear a scarily LOUD jumpscare of a beep comijg from my phone. It was an Amber Alert... A little girl taken by some guy in a green Honda. What made ot scarier was it was literally the day before Halloween. Erm... Morning of Halloween... it went off at 3:00AM.
I got a cool story to tell: I was hanging out at my fiends house building legos with him, our older brothers were there too since were all hood friends. Suddenly the tv turns black and an ember alert turns on, the weird thing is is that me and my friends older brother were talking about how much we are scared of these things, we didn’t think much of it and continued. It happened again but in Spanish and longer, this happened 5 times in the spans of 20 minutes one being longer than the other. I was so scared that night
I don’t ever remember seeing #1, I’d be too young to remember, but I know I lived in that area of California at that time, yet knowing I was alive during it gives me chills.
Here's some backstory on #4 and it's very creepy It's basically 2 kids who have been abducted because of a divorce i think! and unfortunately, the 2 children didn't make it as the father murdered them by stabbing them!

I live in Northern CA and I don't remember the child being found safe or not.
The first one I remember happening to me, but it was a female victim. Had to get it on video to remember I got jumpscared two times on the TV and android. We were only watching a show before commercial breaks and it started playing the sound.
Im never sleeping again (maybe?) Edit: and as someone with ASD some loud noises (normally alarms) freak me out, im so sure some others can relate to how terrifying these are, especially because the children go missing and there is a chance we never see them again
I like to watch these videos since sometimes they give instructions and i can use them in the future if i get a similar alert tho it can be scary, but at least i'll be prepared

By the by, the low layer is where the execution constants are, the upper layer is the execution instructions, which varies dependent on what is to be relayed, where, when, and if there is to be some subset of instructions to be executed (Amber Alerts/National Emergency/Testing/EAS Outage/911 Outage or Failure/X-Level Crisis).

The EAS tones will always be awful to hear, but from what I understand, they're gonna start phasing out the current system in the next few years and in its' place, a far better, less ingratiating and more informative system. It'll no longer interrupt broadcast directly and the data noise will no longer be audible. I dunno too much about it other than it being supposedly more interactive, end-user friendly, and so on.

I remember the first amber alert I can ever remember seeing was right before school, I was so terrified since I thought there was the possibility of me myself getting kidnapped, this was my first year staying home alone before going out to the bus stop so you could imagine how terrified I was, I called my mom sobbing
This makes me really sad, the fact that a person would actually think of abducting a child, it’s just sick. Imagine what is going on in the kids mind, that they feel helpless whilst being taken and having no choice but to obey someone they don’t know 🙁

I once predicted an amber alert when I was 9. So it was in the afternoon and I asked my mom, what’s an amber alert? And she said “It’s when the eas goes off to tell that a kid went missing or is abducted.” Then dinner time came. We were eating quietly, and suddenly the eas went off. It was an amber alert. My mom was shocked and asked me “where did you learn about the amber alert?” And I just said that I just thought of it. My parents were astonished that I predicted an eas- also worried for the child.

I'll nerd out with you. What you witness with EAS alerts with those first beeps is called Specific Area Message Encoding (aka SAME). SAME pretty much shares bit data, in the forms of 0s and 1s, which the reciever translates. The great thing about binary is that there are many ways to transmit information based on the 0 and 1 format. It happens way faster than a human can translate, which is why the EAS is both so effective and relied upon.

It was scary to me, especially since my neighbor hood was very safe and nothing like that had happened in 2 years. Since then I have moved.

The Texas Amber Alert siren hits different haha. I remember one coming on over the radio when i was a kid and my grandparents and I were driving home on a rainy night. It really stuck with me

Fun fact: I've never seen an amber alert, and only seen one EAS alarm. The EAS was about a bear in a nearby city, which I think never arrived un my area, or closer than that. Well, I guess Finland is guite a chill place if we don't think about some smaller stuff, that can be happening.

#5 was issued from KLBJ out of Austin for a Austin area Amber Alert.
#3 was issued by WBAP out of Dallas-Fort Worth (birthplace of the Amber Alert, hence that siren sound as the Amber Alert siren dates all the way back to the late 1990s when it was just DFW area radio and TV stations issuing the Amber Alerts without the EAS) for a statewide Amber Alert for a kid kidnapped in San Antonio.
I think there was also a kidnapping for this: A FedEx driver was somewhere in I think Newark Texas. He kidnapped a little girl and strangled her. Im not sure what the girlor FedEx driver looked like but I think the girl had blonde hair and the kidnapper was wearing all black with a white shirt under it with a black beanie but this is just from my imagination ofc, But obviously the kidnapper was arrested! From your local person that does NOT live anywhere near Texas!

I think it's actually an older clip, the alarm sounds slightly different from the one used today (it sounds a little smoother, it's hard to explain until you hear it for yourself), and the voice is also different and more robotic

I am lucky because I live in the UK, we don't have amber alerts on our Phones or TV but we did get a new alert system on our phones. It is only used for national situations only. (No child abductions).

I got a cool story to tell: I was hanging out at my fiends house building legos with him, our older brothers were there too since were all hood friends. Suddenly the tv turns black and an ember alert turns on, the weird thing is is that me and my friends older brother were talking about how much we are scared of these things, we didn’t think much of it and continued. It happened again but in Spanish and longer, this happened 5 times in the spans of 20 minutes one being longer than the other. I was so scared that night
