My recommendation for people who can't get Hachi Train but CAN get Nana Toridori is to play my "Tori Train" variant. Use Nana Toridori cards and rules with the following two changes: You MUST takes all cards you beat (like in Hachi Train), and each time you pass you MAY draw a new card but if you do you have to keep it. I need to play Hachi Train again after a bunch of Tori Train plays, but there's a real chance that Tori Train is my preferred way to play now.
I look forward to the comparison, as in Hachi Train, the benefit of passing earlyeven when you don't have to and likely strengthening your hand creates some tension. With the large deck in Tori Train, is sounds more like a straight gamble.

It’s the same way with letterpress when we’re restricted to using only the metal type that’s available in the studio and not the millions of fonts available on the computer and through the internet - it forces us to make creative choices that make the final print way more interesting. And my favorite at e super hero is Mighty Mouse! Specifically the one from the 80s series with Elwy and the Tree Weasels. So good.
Awesome video as usual Taylor! My favorite superhero is X-Men's Colossus. I always liked superheros that are physically strong and resistant like Hulk, but Colossus is not only that, he is highly intelligent, versed into the arts like painting, and he always thinks about others before himself. He is altruistic, protects his loved ones and random strangers from harm, and moat of all, gave his life to stop the Legacy virus, a plague that targeted mutants, from spreading. He is also tied to very interesting story arcs and characters like Fear itself, Cyttorak and Juggernaut, was an avatar of Phoenix and one of Apocalypse's horsemen.

My family started watching Moon Girl and Devil Dino on Disney so I’m going to have to go with Moon Girl as my favorite hero. I didn’t know about this channel until Dest Tower West and I’m so glad I found it.
I appreciate you doing reviews on games you are only lukewarm on. I understand why some reviewers don't do that but so many of the trendy tricktakers today are pretty expensive and hard to get so it is nice to hear why some of the hyped games don't work for some people.

His being at all times and having near omnipotence seems awesome, but makes him the hero with the moth pathos ever. It must be so lonely and melancholy, and I really feel for him.
my favorite part about Hachi Train is the mandatory pickup, but I also like that Scout includes runs and hybrid cards. what are your thoughts on mandatory pickup in Scout? in hachi train, if you pick up multiple cards (from playing a higher set of cards), you can place each individual card in any position in your hand. For Scout, it could be you have to decide the orientation of the melded cards when you pick them up, then you pick the position of each in your hand so you don't get entirely free reign. e.g. I beat a 2-3-4 run (2/7, 3/6, 4/9). Do I take them as (2, 3, 4) or (7, 6, 9)? Once I decide, then I place each into my hand wherever I want keeping the chosen orientation. Scout has 45 cards (each number, 1-10, appears on 9 cards) Scout specifically has 1/2, 2/3, 3/4, 4/5 5/6, 6/7, 7/8, 8/9, 9/10 (9 cards) which I will refer to as Wowzer cards If the Wowzer cards are made into the "pass deck" like Hachi Train, that leaves 36 cards left. So in a 4 player game, deal all cards (hand size 9). In a 5 player game, deal all but 1 card (hand size 8). I guess you could play 6 players with a hand size of 6. Play with Scout melding rules and ignore the Scout and Scout&Show mechanic (it's late and Im not sure how best to incorporate these mechanics if at all). I could see keeping Scout&Show but definitely not Scouting with the introduction of Passing. On your turn you either play or pass. Last in the round loses one of their two lives. Play 4 rounds or until someone loses both their lives. what do you think? am i crazy?
I don't know if I have a favorite super hero, per se, so I will go with my childhood obsession: the human torch. Catching on fire and flying was THE COOLEST idea to me throughout most of elementary school and one of my go to people to pretend to be.
Good video! My favourite superhero is probably a boring one - Superman. I remember watching the Christopher Reeve movie at the cinema and falling in love with the character (and Superman: The Movie is still my favourite superhero movie of all time). Ultimately the whole idea of Superman as a concept can’t work without the existence of Kryptonite, and the decision to give him that Achilles heel is brilliant from the creators, and makes Superman my favourite.
The art of NanaToridori is gorgeous! My favorite super hero is Spider-Man 🕷️ Something about climbing walls and swinging around Manhattan just sounds so fun!

Between Hachi Train and Nana Toridori I liked the art on Nana Toridori best, and they're so close that maybe the extra things from multi cards aren't a big enough twist, however if I win I might change my mind :P There's a ton of superheroes, however one that I'd love to see more, specially on the big screen is Green Lantern, it's really sad to not have a proper DC film series that does this superhero justice

My favorite superhero is Wolverine. He reminds me of Clint Eastwood westerns, trying to make up for the sins of his past, which irrevocably marked him. Not everything can be atoned for, and while this makes him a more interesting character, it always seems like there is some new horror waiting for him from his past, ready to pop out.

My favorite superhero is Saitama (Onepunch Man). He basically defeats everyone with a single punch. Since he can't be beaten at all, his worst nightmare is boredom itself because he never gets a real challenge. I love the concept.
My favorite superhero has got to be the hulk/bruce banner. Having mental illness really drew me to him. The hero is all about balance and when unbalanced things can get pretty gamma smash-y😂
A suggestion to make it easier to buy said games is maybe put the Japanese name of the game in the description or comments. Helps when searching. My fave super hero is Invincible, got the comics in a board game auction of all places lol
