Glad this one is being brought back this year.
Me too! And soon I hear!
This looks like a good one! I personally love shedding games that lean more towards luck. Luck is the great equalizer amongst players!
Oh totally! There's something to say about a quick hand that is so fun to play
Wow, there are a lot of ways to end the trick. I do really like that low cards and high cards have equal weight with the sets increasing and runs decreasing. Like you said, it's very loose and freeform and I think that would be enticing to newcomers
It totally is! There's a bizarre balance to it all! I think the only tough thing is that there are a ton of things to remember, but maybe a good player aide would help with that? Hmm
Roller coasters are fun! This sounds amazing, especially since it works well with two players. I like the sound of the end game trigger ... does that vary the number of rounds much?
I had to rewind a few times because my brain was stuck trying to understand the reason for the sunflower seeds/kernels. Colonels? Couldn’t figure it. You pulled a Shinzawa!
Thanks, nefertarij!! 😁🙌 Yeah the game is super variable; we had about an 8 hand game at 4 players, the other day that felt long, but just because everyone was playing so well haha.
Oh shoot!! Hahaa!! I've totally Shinzawa'd... It was meant to be like sun suit ~ sunflower. Definitely a stretch.. But I needed a fourth, haha!
Omg Clay Aiken lmao
And for some reason I have TWO copies of The Penguin Ultimatum
Oh MAN!! the best cover ever award winner!!
Great video, thanks! Any idea where I can get this game, or is it only available in Japan?
Thanks so much, Carl!! 🤩👍 This game looks to be between reprints, sadly. It came out last year at Tokyo Game Market 2020. If you don't mind playing online, it's implemented here: www.boardgamegeek.com/geeklist/272690/item/7845727#item7845727.
If you want a physical copy, that might take some finagling. I caught it on the used games site: www.suruga-ya.jp/product/detail/607615521. Then used a forwarding service like ZenMarket. It'll be a bit expensive and some work, but that's the best route. Cheers!
@@ClaudeAndTaylor Thanks for the reply. I'm not quite ready to dip into international purchasing, but I'm sure I will be one day. I'll keep this game in mind, as it looks fun. Maybe one day it'll get imported.
If you can’t ever play more than 3 cards per turn, does this mean you can’t overwrite a four-card straight? You can only add to it
That's totally correct, Stone! 😁👍
