Notice how Dartigan never acknowliges the fact that, even though Dr and Emperor Nefarious look and sound nothing a like, Dr was still able to fool the Emperor's robots into believing that he isn't from another dimension and is their leader. In fact even Rivit clams that they look simlair when they aren't. Dr is purple green and Emperor is white orange. They also don't share the same VA.
I think he gave the benefit of the doubt for the reason of plot/comedy and Nefarious is the emperor. Since that Nefarious always wins, he could have found it pointless to have fail-safes. (See how Ratchet was able to use a ship by using a similar phrase of evil that Nefarious may use). It's not really explained but it's not that hard to understand why they didn't want to question their emperor's new look.
Maybe robots ignore the body differences and both Nefariouses share the some MAC address 😅 And technically Nefarious couldn't always win because he had to lose one time against Quantum.
It's so weird when you play the older games and you get used to the minimalist features of the world set pieces and everything. And then you play a next gen Rachet and clank game and there is so much detail and everything is so spacious that it's almost like sensory overload to me.
My biggest issues with the game are 1. People just living their lives like nothing happened when the rifts appeared 2. Why does Kitt feel bad if she was programmed to be a resistance killer bot, is a conscience her defect? 3. Rivet and Kitts friendship then “betrayal” happens so quick and unorganically. How can Rivet be so upset the robot she met met two days ago doesn’t want to discuss her biggest trauma.
1. Takes place in a single day and the rifts are acknowledged by multiple characters 2. Precisely, she's a defect in a different way than clank was having more free will so it's more mental than physical 3. Betrayal? Tf you talking about, they worked together to destroy the emperors ships on Sargasso mending a bond slightly then when rivet finds out kit was the one who was responsible for her arm obviously there were tensions also she doesn't know her backstory like she told ratchet so of course she'd be ignorant to it. Listen I'm not trying to say the story is great or whatever but context goes a long fucking way man.
1. Their overlord (Dr posing as emperor) told them specifically to ignore them and they weren't important, and disagreeing gets you thrown in prison 2. Yes. That's the point. It's mirroring clank, who has free will due to a defect (and a zoni soul, but that's weird). 3. It's less a betrayal and more of a "how can I trust you when you are designed to kill me and my friends? What if you revert at any time??" thing. Very good questions. Hell, rivet even says she doesn't know if she can fully trust Kit after wanting to work with her again. Remember, this all takes place in a day. Losing trust for someone you just met is perfectly normal. The fact you trust them to save your life for no reason is the weird part. For a secret resistance member, rivet becomes VERY trusting just after learning clank was telling the truth. After that, she doesn't verify anything anyone says anymore.

Ratchet and clank the series famous for its zanny weaponry completely missed the chance to give each character their own unique weapons or at the very least have rivets weapons built into her arm.

Ratchet and Clank probably survived past the third game due to the changes made to the series with Gladiator (coincidentally my favourite game in the series).
I agree the way they used a second make character was pretty unimaginative. They are identical to the point of breaking immersion. It was like they were checking a box so they can say they have female representation but didn't actually want to do the work to make it have a point. Also the idea that an alternative dimension is 99% the same except some things are conveniently different by a tiny bit is incredibly lazy writing. Like beyond lazy.
Yea it would made more sense if she was crude and brash like ratchet was in the first game because she never had a partner to fight with and mellow her out.
If Rivet returns to Zordoom, she states that she met Angela there last time. This creates a lot of complexities in the timeline. If she is referring to Angela Cross, which I’m sure she is, then how did that meeting occur to begin with?
Yea if that’s true then that’s honestly crazy since insomniac said that’s she’s not canon….or maybe they changed their minds and rectifying that mistake that came back to bite them when the future saga came along.
That intro was my exact thoughts on the game. I really liked it but couldn’t help but feel like as well-made as it is, it’s a little too safe. And I’m not saying sequels need to reinvent the wheel, but there’s far less ‘innovation’ than ‘refinement’, and for a series running this long, some genuine innovation should have happened by now… and it hasn’t. Still a good game. outside of time/space rifts which are entirely controlled and doled out exclusively when the game decides). Still a very fun game, imo.
I'm willing to give them a chance this is their first mainline game in over a decade (excluding the reboot and into the nexus) and they were just testing the waters to she what sticks.
why did clank even bother rebuilding the dimensionator? 1. Ratchet was more or less settled on the idea that his family was with Clank and their friends rather than his own species. 2. this is the 3rd time the dimesionator has nearly bought the universe to ruin because a bad thing was summoned from the other side, clearly the dimensionator is something nobody should have any right to use and should just be destroyed, you'd think in all their experience of being heroes they'd have figured that out.
Man, as I followed the series to Into the Nexus, this was the conclusion. Honestly due to the current state of this series and how ND is now, I’m glad the Jak series was never brought back.
Well it was eating at ratchet if you saw the ending of into the Nexus he clearly did want to at the time and the second point is true to a extent it was dangerous because some crazy villains were using it but in the right hands it wouldn't be so dangerous.
@@docblack59 i think Jak could have a good plot where Jak and Daxter rebuild Haven City from the ground after Jak 3, and help sig in Spargus, while fighting with another city that was built over politics and ground control. Also introduce a 2nd character from the opposite city which will be very important to Jak, like a friend, who is very capable, but has his own character trait like being lonely or tired of all of the chaos and wanting a simpler life
Not to mention that during Tools of Destruction, Clank was the one who permanently advised against using the dimensionator for how dangerous the thing was.
Remember back when Ratchet and Clank used to be an edgy game whose narrative was designed to satirize corporations and consumerism? Now the series has ironically been over sanitized for the sake of appealing to a wider demographic , whilst failing to fully recognize the soul of the original games.

Maybe Rivets dimension was made after clank was created (after clank because kit is clanks counterpart). Which is why Rivet is Ratchet's dimensional counterpart.
At first I didn't want to watch this because I wanted to experience the game for myself first but then I remembered it will probably be two or three years before I can finally get my hands on one of these mythical devices to play this freaking thing
Interestingly the PS5 has sold more units than PS4s in it's first six months (7.8 vs 7.6 million units, and that is shipped units). In comparison the Xbox X has around 6 million sales (in the first three months of 2021 the PS5 was out selling the Xbox two to one).
As a mythical creature who captured one of these fantasy machines, I gotta say your not missing much. Granted the only thing I cared about playing on it was demonsouls. Everything else seems fine on ps4 or played better on pc if its not exclusive. Can't speak for everyone, but its pretty much a paper weight until Horizon for me.

So her Kaiden is Ratchet's Allister, she was never sent to veldin, so clank likely still exists in Rivet's dimension but was never recoverd and still is out of commission on veldin...?
I was a huge fan of the original 3 RC games as a kid. The gameplay is solid through and through. I’ve always loved the casual platform and outrageous 3rd person shooting/action combination. Add in the humor and writing of the first few games and it seriously made the perfect video game for me personally. I enjoy the new games, but they will never really satiate that desire for the old, somewhat raunchy and edgy ratchet and clank experience on the PS2 that was just downright fun in almost every regard. I get that audiences change and you cater to the largest fan base but I almost wish the studio would work on a parallel project that was tied to the RC universe that paid a greater tribute to the original games which were targeted at a slightly older fan base.
I believe what makes them parallel is the fact that Rivet has a tail, something that female lombaxes don't have in Ratchet's dimension. You can only assume that it's the opposite in Rivet's dimension. That's my explanation, anyways.

I don't understand dimensional villains, even though in this universe you constantly lose, the fact that there is a universe that you win should already make you recover your expectations and try to understand the reasons why you lose but no, you make a portal to this dimension to steal the place of yourself and make yourself an enemy, and potentially take the cause of your losses with you or worse, CREATE it a new one because of your interference
For Rivet to be Ratchet's alternate dimensional self, it would have to be like this. The Ratchet and Clank games' dimension. Ratchet's dimension. The alternate R&C game's dimension. Rivet's dimension. However, because there would have to be two dimensions in which the Lombaxes exist in their own. This would make it to possible to have Rivet been able to fo to the OG dimension and vise versa, while also having the possibility that they both be able to go to the OG dimension at the same time. So according to the game's story, it would actually have been possible to have both Ratchet and Rivet in the first game. It could even be Ratchet going to Rivet's original dimension. Insomniac probably didn't think through how this actually worked.
2:40 fun fact: while Lombaxes may look and sound like they're based on a combination of cats, foxes, lemurs, and wombats the truth is they are actually related to none of these animals and if they were real they're closest relatives would actually be civets and mongooses. 🤔
Learning to be a hero, getting to the lombax dimension, kit probably also having a zonai soul, an entire planet of people who can travel dimensions, and a working dimensionator. Plenty of reasons to have her in future games. Shit, they did the same thing for miles morales, and we are all cool with that. Jennifer Hale needs more fun roles, let her have this. She did such a good job I kinda preferred her over ratchet for most of the game, and I've played the series since the start

Still doesn't account for the fact that, once the fixer tried to squish her, even though her arm itself may be strong enough, it is still only attached to her "not as strong as her arms" body. All the pressure from the arm needs to travel somewhere and her body is the only attached thing. So while her arm may be unharmed she would definetly NOT survive all the pressure on the rest of the body and be squished anyways. Either that or the arm would just rip of wich is also painful
I honestly wish they gave Rivet a more unique set of moves. But she plays almost exactly like Ratchet, so it just feels like there's no point in playing as her character, she even has a robot with the same moves to make them even more alike... bleh. There was potential for her, they just decided not to take it.
I got a PS5 from Best Buy. Beat this game a few times, tried to speed run it a little, got bored, and sold my disc edition PS5 for $750. I even included an extra controller and a 1TB NVME. Probably sold it at a loss, but at least someone else can enjoy it before suckering someone out of $1,000
Each universe has its own race of Lombax’s that also left their universes. Eventually this sparked a multiversal war among the Lombax races until one Lombax destroyed the all other branches of the multiverse and formed the “Time Variance Authority” to maintain the timeline. This Lombax called himself “He Who Remains”. Eventually, after millions of universe cycles, the lone Lombax at the end of time allowed for a single branch to explore more possibilities for an ideal universe. Thus, Rivet’s universe was born. Either it was all that or Rivet came from the Prime Universe… LOL
As a long time fan, I finally played it for the first time and as expected it's as medicore as any of the post ToD games. The story is generic, the dialogues are stupid, the writing don't make sense and the maps are boring. The weapons are alright but nothing I haven't seen in older games. Pretty much seals the deal that the franchise will never return to its PS2 root. The only things I kinda liked are some escape/chase sequence are alright but only for the first time and Rivet is kinda hot.
The mocap (if that's what the animation is) is pretty distracting. I think I can tell it's mocap because of how human-like the non-human characters move at some parts.
i found it odd that some of the robots in nefarious city look like they are made out of solid metal, but in club nefarious you can see them dance and twist in a way that doesn't make sense for a robot out of metal. Looks so bendy and squishy.

This game was honestly quite lackluster. It feels like the whole Lombax-disappearance-part didn't go anywhere, Rivet and Ratchet COULD have been a thing considering how...much.....they physically interacted with one another. It took me perhaps longer to complete the previous installment.

Insomnia had the extremely rare and often sought-after redo button. After the rather lackluster launch of the first reboot game of the series. That was hampered by questionable writing and a tie in movie. They could have taken feedback from the fans and more less announced that the reboot/tie inmovie game was an experiment. Washed their hands of it and started fresh. Instead, they doubled down with more of the same nonsense.And made a desperate attempt to reignite interest in the series. By making a gender-swapped versions of its main characters. That play exactly the same as their male counterparts. Making it more of a one-off sort of episode of a long-running series. Rather than the basis of the start of their new saga; If interest remains that is.
RA is extremely successful (1.1m sold in as of July 18th) and got critical acclaim and is looking to he nominated for GOTY. I suggest you read interviews on how this game came to be instead of talking out of your ass, also the 2016 game was based on the movie not the other way around.
Yeah Rivet’s gameplay was what I thought it was, it’s why instead I played it with my cousin. Rivet is just a skin with a story set up. Go back to Sonic Adventure 2 and compare Sonic and Shadow. At the very least they run different, but Sonic has gadgets that Shadow doesn’t like the bounce bracelet. Since 1 of your options is Scarlet Nexus even that game goes about 2 playable characters well. Yuito having more dmg options on ground and Kasane having more air dmg options
Rivet throws her hammer differently also considering how gadgets work in RA they'd have to restructure the game just to have exclusive abilities which won't help the core gameplay loop at all, also all you do in SA2 while playing as those 2 characters is running least they could do right? As for SN they don't share a campaign so they can get away making differences the way RA implements Ratchet and Rivet as playable in the gameplay structure is tied to the full campaign and there's only one.
One thing I find weird is that Rivet doesn't trust Kit because she's a Warbot, and yet neither Ratchet or Clank mention the fact that Clank is also a Warbot, seriously I've been playing it for the first time this week and all the way through the story I was waiting for this to be mentioned, and nothing, Kit just... comes back, and all is forgiven.
How is Doctor Nefarious even still alive? Ratchet and Clank destroyed him in a Crack in Time and his ship blew up as they left escaping. Also it’s not like Lawrence stuck around since he took the escape pod.
have you noticed how often lombax is said throughout every game since the future series. its annoying and i wish they would have come up with an interesting story than finding a species that was so narcissistic they thought they needed their own dimension. you know because if there's infinite dimensions I'm pretty sure they couldn't just hop to a random one or ask another dimension for help. but no let's leave to a specific dimension and just leave this universe manipulating psycho for this universe to deal with..............i hate you insomniac.
I do think that Twinsanity did the "alternative counterpart" better, Crash and Evil Crash are the same character with distinct personality and design. The cut alternative for Cortex is a good version of himself. Ratchet and Rivet are different by design, but the personality, since they toned Ratched way too much, they are similar based on that. Why not making an evil lombax? Like one who try to dominate the world or destroy it? But the motivations would be kept as subtil. That would be interesting, they made Allister kinda evil back then.. The two Nefarious are villains, Clank/Kit are warbots that are deffective and good.. A huge missed opportunity here. It’s About Time had that issue of lacking the difference in personalities, the main villain have a female counterpart as well.. I noticed another issue, Rivet had PSTD because Kit shoot her arm, yet she picked Clank and later, Kit, without issues, unless the plot call for it. And she’s the last of her kind with no family members mentioned.. That wasn’t explored more. Edit2: Insomniac Games wanted to end the franchise by A Crack In Time, but Sony pressured them to continue.

Besides the new gimic for this game is the rift tether. Though unlike Cappy, I will say the rift tether isn't used as much. 3D Mario games tend to be pretty different from each other. They share core mechanics but themes, power ups etc are very different. 2D Mario games however are very similar, aesthetics aside.
Galaxy was hugely inventive with its gravity mechanics, sunshine had fludd and odyssey had cappy, they’re definitely different enough to make the games feel fresh

Which means the dimension they all escaped to has double the capacity it can hold; unless the Lumbaxes source dimensions' were competing for dimensional timeshares and both got separate ones. But that just raises more questions I won't get into.
so there's infinite lombaxes if they didnt come from one dimension. so there's no reason to find a lombax dimension or even create a lombax dimension because the only other reason you wouldn't join up with more lombaxes from different dimensions is to have a dimension populated by people of only your race/species this is why the dimensions and time travel are viewed as lazy and stupid.
I have a theory. What if ratchet and clank is part of a multidimensional law dictated by fate. As if each universe must have a robot that controls space-time and a lumbax to monitor it. Take Rick and Morty for an example, it could be that Ratchet and Clank are part of some 'finite curve' made by Ratchets father before he died. Hence why there team ups will always defeat evil, because it is programed in the finite curve
So the helmet of Captain Quantum only saw what Emperor Nefarious’s assistant saw. That’s where they put the bug. And because the assistant wasn’t with the Emperor at all times, the intel is limited to only what he tells his assistant.

First person linear games with no scale and limited af FOV, the way RA is far more impressive and unique, the series did a version of aspects of RA in 2009 anyways, Insomniac is just competing with themselves at this point. Also they said loading the amount of detail so fast is only possible on PS5.

I think he gave the benefit of the doubt for the reason of plot/comedy and Nefarious is the emperor. Since that Nefarious always wins, he could have found it pointless to have fail-safes. (See how Ratchet was able to use a ship by using a similar phrase of evil that Nefarious may use). It's not really explained but it's not that hard to understand why they didn't want to question their emperor's new look.

It's so weird when you play the older games and you get used to the minimalist features of the world set pieces and everything. And then you play a next gen Rachet and clank game and there is so much detail and everything is so spacious that it's almost like sensory overload to me.
My biggest issues with the game are
1. People just living their lives like nothing happened when the rifts appeared
2. Why does Kitt feel bad if she was programmed to be a resistance killer bot, is a conscience her defect?
3. Rivet and Kitts friendship then “betrayal” happens so quick and unorganically. How can Rivet be so upset the robot she met met two days ago doesn’t want to discuss her biggest trauma.
1. Takes place in a single day and the rifts are acknowledged by multiple characters
2. Precisely, she's a defect in a different way than clank was having more free will so it's more mental than physical
3. Betrayal? Tf you talking about, they worked together to destroy the emperors ships on Sargasso mending a bond slightly then when rivet finds out kit was the one who was responsible for her arm obviously there were tensions also she doesn't know her backstory like she told ratchet so of course she'd be ignorant to it.
Listen I'm not trying to say the story is great or whatever but context goes a long fucking way man.
1. Their overlord (Dr posing as emperor) told them specifically to ignore them and they weren't important, and disagreeing gets you thrown in prison
2. Yes. That's the point. It's mirroring clank, who has free will due to a defect (and a zoni soul, but that's weird).
3. It's less a betrayal and more of a "how can I trust you when you are designed to kill me and my friends? What if you revert at any time??" thing. Very good questions. Hell, rivet even says she doesn't know if she can fully trust Kit after wanting to work with her again.
Remember, this all takes place in a day. Losing trust for someone you just met is perfectly normal. The fact you trust them to save your life for no reason is the weird part.
For a secret resistance member, rivet becomes VERY trusting just after learning clank was telling the truth. After that, she doesn't verify anything anyone says anymore.

Ratchet and clank the series famous for its zanny weaponry completely missed the chance to give each character their own unique weapons or at the very least have rivets weapons built into her arm.

Yellow is swapped with white/silver (and vice versa)
Green is swapped with red-ish orange (vice versa)

Clank white body, kit yellow body
The green thing on clank's head, red-ish orange "things" on kit's head

Ratchet and Clank probably survived past the third game due to the changes made to the series with Gladiator (coincidentally my favourite game in the series).
I agree the way they used a second make character was pretty unimaginative. They are identical to the point of breaking immersion. It was like they were checking a box so they can say they have female representation but didn't actually want to do the work to make it have a point.
Also the idea that an alternative dimension is 99% the same except some things are conveniently different by a tiny bit is incredibly lazy writing. Like beyond lazy.

If Rivet returns to Zordoom, she states that she met Angela there last time. This creates a lot of complexities in the timeline. If she is referring to Angela Cross, which I’m sure she is, then how did that meeting occur to begin with?
Yea if that’s true then that’s honestly crazy since insomniac said that’s she’s not canon….or maybe they changed their minds and rectifying that mistake that came back to bite them when the future saga came along.

I really liked it but couldn’t help but feel like as well-made as it is, it’s a little too safe.
And I’m not saying sequels need to reinvent the wheel, but there’s far less ‘innovation’ than ‘refinement’, and for a series running this long, some genuine innovation should have happened by now… and it hasn’t.

@@docblack59 i think Jak could have a good plot where Jak and Daxter rebuild Haven City from the ground after Jak 3, and help sig in Spargus, while fighting with another city that was built over politics and ground control. Also introduce a 2nd character from the opposite city which will be very important to Jak, like a friend, who is very capable, but has his own character trait like being lonely or tired of all of the chaos and wanting a simpler life
Not to mention that during Tools of Destruction, Clank was the one who permanently advised against using the dimensionator for how dangerous the thing was.

Maybe Rivets dimension was made after clank was created (after clank because kit is clanks counterpart). Which is why Rivet is Ratchet's dimensional counterpart.

Interestingly the PS5 has sold more units than PS4s in it's first six months (7.8 vs 7.6 million units, and that is shipped units). In comparison the Xbox X has around 6 million sales (in the first three months of 2021 the PS5 was out selling the Xbox two to one).
As a mythical creature who captured one of these fantasy machines, I gotta say your not missing much. Granted the only thing I cared about playing on it was demonsouls. Everything else seems fine on ps4 or played better on pc if its not exclusive. Can't speak for everyone, but its pretty much a paper weight until Horizon for me.

I was a huge fan of the original 3 RC games as a kid. The gameplay is solid through and through. I’ve always loved the casual platform and outrageous 3rd person shooting/action combination. Add in the humor and writing of the first few games and it seriously made the perfect video game for me personally.
I enjoy the new games, but they will never really satiate that desire for the old, somewhat raunchy and edgy ratchet and clank experience on the PS2 that was just downright fun in almost every regard. I get that audiences change and you cater to the largest fan base but I almost wish the studio would work on a parallel project that was tied to the RC universe that paid a greater tribute to the original games which were targeted at a slightly older fan base.

I believe what makes them parallel is the fact that Rivet has a tail, something that female lombaxes don't have in Ratchet's dimension. You can only assume that it's the opposite in Rivet's dimension.

However, because there would have to be two dimensions in which the Lombaxes exist in their own. This would make it to possible to have Rivet been able to fo to the OG dimension and vise versa, while also having the possibility that they both be able to go to the OG dimension at the same time. So according to the game's story, it would actually have been possible to have both Ratchet and Rivet in the first game. It could even be Ratchet going to Rivet's original dimension.
Insomniac probably didn't think through how this actually worked.

Dont forget Rivet has a robot arm that she made, so its not that out of the question of she enhanced it to be more stronger than ever.
Still doesn't account for the fact that, once the fixer tried to squish her, even though her arm itself may be strong enough, it is still only attached to her "not as strong as her arms" body.
All the pressure from the arm needs to travel somewhere and her body is the only attached thing.
So while her arm may be unharmed she would definetly NOT survive all the pressure on the rest of the body and be squished anyways.

I honestly wish they gave Rivet a more unique set of moves. But she plays almost exactly like Ratchet, so it just feels like there's no point in playing as her character, she even has a robot with the same moves to make them even more alike... bleh. There was potential for her, they just decided not to take it.
I got a PS5 from Best Buy. Beat this game a few times, tried to speed run it a little, got bored, and sold my disc edition PS5 for $750. I even included an extra controller and a 1TB NVME. Probably sold it at a loss, but at least someone else can enjoy it before suckering someone out of $1,000

Each universe has its own race of Lombax’s that also left their universes. Eventually this sparked a multiversal war among the Lombax races until one Lombax destroyed the all other branches of the multiverse and formed the “Time Variance Authority” to maintain the timeline. This Lombax called himself “He Who Remains”.
Eventually, after millions of universe cycles, the lone Lombax at the end of time allowed for a single branch to explore more possibilities for an ideal universe. Thus, Rivet’s universe was born.

As a long time fan, I finally played it for the first time and as expected it's as medicore as any of the post ToD games. The story is generic, the dialogues are stupid, the writing don't make sense and the maps are boring. The weapons are alright but nothing I haven't seen in older games. Pretty much seals the deal that the franchise will never return to its PS2 root. The only things I kinda liked are some escape/chase sequence are alright but only for the first time and Rivet is kinda hot.
I just realized how these videos help with getting better at writing
The mocap (if that's what the animation is) is pretty distracting. I think I can tell it's mocap because of how human-like the non-human characters move at some parts.

i found it odd that some of the robots in nefarious city look like they are made out of solid metal, but in club nefarious you can see them dance and twist in a way that doesn't make sense for a robot out of metal. Looks so bendy and squishy.

This game was honestly quite lackluster. It feels like the whole Lombax-disappearance-part didn't go anywhere, Rivet and Ratchet COULD have been a thing considering how...much.....they physically interacted with one another. It took me perhaps longer to complete the previous installment.

Insomnia had the extremely rare and often sought-after redo button. After the rather lackluster launch of the first reboot game of the series. That was hampered by questionable writing and a tie in movie. They could have taken feedback from the fans and more less announced that the reboot/tie inmovie game was an experiment. Washed their hands of it and started fresh.
Instead, they doubled down with more of the same nonsense.And made a desperate attempt to reignite interest in the series. By making a gender-swapped versions of its main characters. That play exactly the same as their male counterparts. Making it more of a one-off sort of episode of a long-running series. Rather than the basis of the start of their new saga; If interest remains that is.
RA is extremely successful (1.1m sold in as of July 18th) and got critical acclaim and is looking to he nominated for GOTY.
I suggest you read interviews on how this game came to be instead of talking out of your ass, also the 2016 game was based on the movie not the other way around.
Yeah Rivet’s gameplay was what I thought it was, it’s why instead I played it with my cousin. Rivet is just a skin with a story set up. Go back to Sonic Adventure 2 and compare Sonic and Shadow. At the very least they run different, but Sonic has gadgets that Shadow doesn’t like the bounce bracelet. Since 1 of your options is Scarlet Nexus even that game goes about 2 playable characters well. Yuito having more dmg options on ground and Kasane having more air dmg options
Rivet throws her hammer differently also considering how gadgets work in RA they'd have to restructure the game just to have exclusive abilities which won't help the core gameplay loop at all, also all you do in SA2 while playing as those 2 characters is running least they could do right? As for SN they don't share a campaign so they can get away making differences the way RA implements Ratchet and Rivet as playable in the gameplay structure is tied to the full campaign and there's only one.
As much as i love Halo 4 and would be interested in seeing your sins Scarlet Nexus would be a good one imo. I vote Scarlet Nexus.

One thing I find weird is that Rivet doesn't trust Kit because she's a Warbot, and yet neither Ratchet or Clank mention the fact that Clank is also a Warbot, seriously I've been playing it for the first time this week and all the way through the story I was waiting for this to be mentioned, and nothing, Kit just... comes back, and all is forgiven.

I do think that Twinsanity did the "alternative counterpart" better,
Crash and Evil Crash are the same character with distinct personality and design.
The cut alternative for Cortex is a good version of himself.
Ratchet and Rivet are different by design, but the personality, since they toned Ratched way too much, they are similar based on that.
Why not making an evil lombax? Like one who try to dominate the world or destroy it? But the motivations would be kept as subtil.

too bad they gave him a completely generic personality. emperor nefarious doesn't emote or do anything interesting. what a waste of a talented voice actors time
..........So maybe I'm in the minority, but Ratchet and Clank essentially does the same thing 3D Mario does. It Ratchet and Clank is being sinned for following a formula, then Mario doesn't get a pass either.......or Legend of Zelda for that matter (though breath of the wild did break that formula recently to be fair).
Besides the new gimic for this game is the rift tether. Though unlike Cappy, I will say the rift tether isn't used as much. That's all I wanted to say though, I know these videos aren't ment to be taken that seriously lol
3D Mario games tend to be pretty different from each other. They share core mechanics but themes, power ups etc are very different. 2D Mario games however are very similar, aesthetics aside.
Galaxy was hugely inventive with its gravity mechanics, sunshine had fludd and odyssey had cappy, they’re definitely different enough to make the games feel fresh
real talk, Zelda gets away with it due to its rarely ever the same Link or Zelda.

Wouldn't it be that in every dimension the things that happen will always happen in a certain way or another? Even if Rivet is a Lombax once she got into this dimension she's basically tied to the dimensions law? I suppose?
Also Ratchet hasn't seen any female Lombax aside from she who shall not be named and apparently she's not a lombax so Rivet could be a hybrid Lombax? Considering the monsters we see that have orange energy are basically what Sunset Overdrive's drink is made from

Which means the dimension they all escaped to has double the capacity it can hold; unless the Lumbaxes source dimensions' were competing for dimensional timeshares and both got separate ones. But that just raises more questions I won't get into.
so there's infinite lombaxes if they didnt come from one dimension. so there's no reason to find a lombax dimension or even create a lombax dimension because the only other reason you wouldn't join up with more lombaxes from different dimensions is to have a dimension populated by people of only your race/species this is why the dimensions and time travel are viewed as lazy and stupid.

I have a theory. What if ratchet and clank is part of a multidimensional law dictated by fate. As if each universe must have a robot that controls space-time and a lumbax to monitor it. Take Rick and Morty for an example, it could be that Ratchet and Clank are part of some 'finite curve' made by Ratchets father before he died. Hence why there team ups will always defeat evil, because it is programed in the finite curve

So the helmet of Captain Quantum only saw what Emperor Nefarious’s assistant saw. That’s where they put the bug. And because the assistant wasn’t with the Emperor at all times, the intel is limited to only what he tells his assistant.
Can anyone tell/explain to me how any of the Lombaxes can hear anything since their ears don't seem to have any preauricular pits (hole in the ears) or eardrums.

The more I look at these sins, the more they make sense...especially the whole rift tether being the main feature which didn't really go as far as I thought it did.

I'm a bit late, but I'm not sure where you got the idea that Dr Nefarious was AWARE of the fact that there was an another nefarious in that dimension. I assumed he had no idea from the beginning. He never mentions knowing about the emperor.

I didnt like how all the weapons are over powered. Classic ratchet games you start off with lvl 1 gun and get better guns and level up. There is none of that is this game

@@joshnunya324 No the game itself literally states that all Lombaxes are from the same dimension and timeline, the Lombax shrine if you complete it a Lombax name Mags was sent to different dimensions for Lombaxes can go to hide, some didn't make it including Ratchet's family, it's possible for Rivet to have the same fate and was sent to the dimension that she calls home,
