I m am a bit surprised that there are no cold steel knives. In my opinion cold steels lock is capable of any hard use like nothing else. But the action isnt that great with their backlock systhem. Are the normal benchmades (other then adamas) and the spidercos really that good for hard use? I would love to see some hard use testing on these
Well hard use for a knife yes, theres many videos showing lots of testing, but i totally would have put cold steels on this list i do not have any atm but have reviewed some in the past, they are very strong lockimg systems
I bought a manix2 in 20cv and red g10. It's my heavy-duty hard use edc . I bought a flytainum ball lock replacement for insurance. Nice bunch of heavy duty edc .
I'm thinking that most of my Zero Tolerance knives are overbuilt hard users, as is my David Curtiss F3 Medium...sooooo wonderfully overbuilt....as are some of my CKF knives... no doubt!
@@NeevesKnives I agree with ZT and Cold Steel entries, and may also suggest the Artisan Cutlery Proponent. It's a 9 oz. Beast, and with the included lock pin, turns the folder into a virtual fixed blade option.
@@NeevesKnives Scott has mine right now. Have you talked to Scott at Big Bore Knife and Gear? He has my Pallas in CPM S45VN and Kyle's in S35VN and Kyle's Hersey Folder. My first Button lock interesting knife.

I have a question. Why the heck do knife companies make hard use, over built knives WITH bearings? I work outside and any knife with bearings is close to worthless. The pivots get all gritty and gummed up really fast. There are so many knives that I would love to own and don’t because of bearings in the pivot. Is it possible to swap out bearings with washers?
during testing bearings show to be the easiest to clean, when dunked under dirt and grime bearings easily rinse out under water, while fb washers don't and have to be taken completely apart in order to get good action back. Teflon is the best and continues to work regardless of cleaning
Interesting. I’m skeptical but definitely willing to try that out next time. If dunking the pivot under water works, it will be a game changer for me. Thanks for the info. By the way, I love your videos man!
Good luck on the TI Manix ball cage, they're sold out everywhere except for a couple crappy colors. Hopefully they will come back in stock soon because I want a couple myself.
@@NeevesKnives I learn something new every video. I dont have any friends that are in to knives so I come here to get my daily fix!! Thanks for the effort yall put into making quality videos!! 👍👍
Most in here is over priced “good stuff” over priced metal that will never be hard used Because is over priced. I had a Medford $500, I went too eBay and buy the fake one ….. why ? Why ? …..So I sold the real one because the fake one is what I need…. A hard use knife that I will not hesitate too hard use without any reasonable fear off devaluation or understandable remorse. Get your self’s a cold steel under $100 or bit over ( SR1, SR1L, 4MAX scout, Recon 1, AD10, lawman, AK47, ) and i assured you will effectively used as a knife is intended. Or even going a little over price $190 for a SOG seal XR:…………….. HARD USE OVERBUILT
All those knives have also been on the channel, and clones are not good because they are stealing great designs from other people then making them cheaply with poor heat treatment and selling to you with no warranty, the real thing has the real steel that's advertised and is heat treated to good quality, and if you use it you can always use the lifetime warranty if anything happens, also it doesn't cost very much to have your scales or blade re finished back to new if the company won't doit for free
I agree, in my opinion it's silly to spend hundreds of dollars on a hard use edc when you can get something that will do the same job for 100 bucks or under. Been using a Kershaw Blur for years and it's done everything I've asked of it. Paid 40 bucks at the time.

For sure, I baton with my Finn Wolf. Had it about 4 years now and it’s still holding up great.
The Manix is definitely one of my favorites Spyderco knives for sure!!
Yes and i know im late to the game but better late than never, and now that i have one im loving it
Those knives are really strong, even stronger than my banking account.

Personally a big fan of the DPx HEST, and for a smaller knife Fox Suru's are built like tanks. The Wilson Combat version is a true gem
Cold Steel AD10, SR1, Recon 1, Spartan Pallas, Hogue Ritter RSK, Spyderco Manix 2 XL, Shaman, OKC RAT1, and Civivi Naja.
Thats a great list, man i need to try a Spartan

Great vid as always bro awesome topic my favorite kind of knives 🔪🤘🤘👍
Excellent list! Would love to see the budget version of the same topic. Great video 👍
Im going to do another one of those i really need to get some more budget knives in for review especially newer ones
Great video. Would like to see the same title in a budget version. The knives were great but beyond a lot of peoples budget.
Very true and I definitely will
no umnumzaan?
Didn't have one available
The weakest point of all these is the pivot stop pins, that’s what’s going to break, full lock backs or huge pins are what I look for.
Everyone should have at least one " beefy " knife :)
The right ones even make great edc knives, not all but some when done right
👍👍
Great name slangin lead ii love it

No one ever, anywhere is going to hard use a Koenig Arius. Not at the price point. Pocket jewelry not a user.
Oh....c'mon...it’s a beater! 😬
😆 i guarantee someone's beating and using one, somewhere! 😆 but its definitely a knife that can handle it
You kept calling the reate knifes react... Just saying...
