It's easily checkable on the VoD: there is a small amount of remaining CD on Faker's flash icon, and furthermore Faker did a (whiffed) flash Q at 34:25 in the game, and Ruler's move is at 39:18.

Bjergsen owns part of TSM and therefore should not play anywhere else. Meaning that if TSM wants to try another midlaner, that means Bjergsen retiring? (Because Bjergsen is not working for TSM internationally.) If people see him as one of the problems and not as one of the assets things change. There is a reason why top and jungler where the ones showing up at worlds for TSM. Bjerg amd DL are mentally broken at worlds. They are the problem at worlds for TSM. Thats why Bjergsen is forced to either retire or lose is shares.

The best casters in the world for me personally are Tasteless and Artosis. I haven't seen duo nearly as educated about the game they're casting, having insane backstories and when they were on the roll I was shitting bricks.
After taking a break from League since early 2016, I thought this was a great Worlds Finals because when I came back in 2018, it was 2 straight years of 3-0 Finals. I actually feel bad that I missed out on most of SKT's glory years. Honestly, I can understand if people are a bit disappointed with the Finals. As an LCK fan, I'm perfectly happy to see Damwon win, but I would've been fine with Suning winning either after going through the Top 2 teams in their region. As for the quality of the game, you really can't please everybody. I think it's hard to get a Finals that's clean but not boring and action-packed but not a fiesta.
I like how Thorin is talking about Malice as if he's just high elo on EUW, when he was also top 50 on Korea and played in kr challenger series, no competitive experience though i guess :D
In NA soloQ many people don't care about winning, they just want to get a good score individually, or have fun. Most people that I have talked to in solo Q say that doing well individually is the primary goal, winning is secondary. They would rather have a good KDA and lose than visa versa. This goes along with what Bwipo was saying, where a player will trade kill gold to enemy in exchange for a few minions and xp. Meaning, they would rather do well individually, than deny gold from enemy. They don't care if they are feeding because they get to keep playing and buy items. The goal is not to win, but to have a good experience. I actually played a game where ADC SUP MID JUNGLE all built sunfire aegis on Kat, Jihn, or whoever they wanted and actually said, "we lost but I had fun so I don't care."

This is a bad take. You can't judge the effectiveness of a coach based on the results a team obtains. There are a lot of factors that effect it (player form, internal conflict, etc.), none of which can be isolated.

You can't compare KDA songs to Rise though, they aren't equivalents, Take Over is this year's worlds song and equivalent to Rise or Warriors. I won't argue it's better than Rise but that's the one to compare it to. The KDA songs are supposed to be a bonus thing and it's just taken the spotlight.

Recency bias is a thing that exists so I can understand how people thing the newest thing is the best thing. But you have to remember recency bias and temper yourself. When talking about who the best top laner of all time is, remember there was a time where MaRin and smeb where the best top laners of all time. Doesn't look good now to say MaRin or smeb is the best top of all time and saying someone playing now is the best of all time might look equally silly in a few years.

As a person who gets hyped each year for worlds this was the only year I didn't enjoy. I don't know if it's the meta restricting creative play or just Damwon being the clear favorite after TES and JD gaming looked bad. The group stage games were better than the semi finals. Odly enough the best content was G2 vs Suning after Suning wasn't able to close out games and the TSM memes.
Totally agree on this worlds being bad. I actually stopped watching after FNC/TES quarter because teams made lackluster decisions ingame. It was a pain to watch. You'd have thought they'd have stepped up their games, but nope.

I think Monty can take it but - hell he got interrupted by Thorin on a seconds basis. Let him tell one story for christ sake. ;) It's not like he is boring and the situation needs to be saved. In this case i think Thorin just enjoyed himself in this episode and that makes it somewhat alright. Beside that - less interrupting, more sharing.

As a person who gets hyped each year for worlds this was the only year I didn't enjoy. I don't know if it's the meta restricting creative play or just Damwon being the clear favorite after TES and JD gaming looked bad. The group stage games were better than the semi finals. Odly enough the best content was G2 vs Suning after Suning wasn't able to close out games and the TSM memes.
Totally agree on this worlds being bad. I actually stopped watching after FNC/TES quarter because teams made lackluster decisions ingame. It was a pain to watch. You'd have thought they'd have stepped up their games, but nope.

That was my same strategy in soloqueue for a while. Pick Kha'zix and take dragon back when it gave gold and didn't have global spawn timer. Take dragon at lvl 6, time it and come back and take the next one.
