I waited about a month for my size small MEPC setup. It was in ranger green but the cummerbund was made to order. The order was about 14 items so I had to be patient and it was well WORHT IT! I run small SAPI (8.75x11.75) multicurve plates from highcom (4S17M). Fits perfect!
You guys were the ones who sold me on buying a MEPC in the first vid. Turns out at the time I bought the 2.0 and I didn’t realize! Although I’m debating on throwing in a war fighter cumberbund (assuming it can fit)
Hey man, I’m about to put an order in, does this mean it will automatically be a 2.0? I don’t see anything specifically mentioning 2.0 on Defense Mechanisms site, just the MEPC and the pictures look like the original.
I like it. I would have put some loop backing on the inside of the platebags for pontoons like Ice Vents, but that’s really my only change. This is a solid option.
I know this is an old video, but what are your recommendations for a really light plate carrier for running around a lot in? I play airsoft and tend to run around a lot (yeah I know this isn't for real life combat). I've been looking at the Crye SPC and the DM MEPC. Thoughts?
Both are great! look at the Javlin Concepts or dynamic principles for those tactical games type roles. I lift in my Mepc... I run in the other two Hope that helps!

I’ve got the strap kit for the recondite and it works great…except when you wear a helmet, then trying to flip the pack over your head because quite a bit more challenging. Still a great bag.

I picked one up and gotta say.. It’s pretty comfortable with the AXL shoulder pads has served me well so far! Only gripe I have with it is it’s fairly tight around the head when slipping it on/off. Is that normal? I understand it’s adjustable. But, when I adjust the straps, so the opening is wider, the bags don’t sit properly. (Just below the sternum with back plate even to front plate.) I hope I explained that correctly and someone is able to help. Thank you!
I've been looking at a plate carrier but they are all just so expensive. I *could* buy a krydex or emersongear one or something, but it's just not worth it to cheap out. DefMec's MEPC is just sexy.
Krydex is just amazing for what you get. It's just such a glorious middle finger to the overpriced and overhyped carriers. MEPC is just a fantastic balance of quality, function, and price. And they're cool lol which is all that really matters -Walsh
I like the 2nd placard option on the backpack need some molle on the side to attach different pouches for different setups. Favorite carrier so far the the worrior assault systems lpc v2.#2 Wartech tv-115 is pretty good option to but need to upgrade the shoulder pads right away for any kind of jogging or drills with plates. Where can i get the wizard nation patch
Great carrier but you need some adapters and other bits to add in comparability to current gen placards and such. The structural cummerbund is dated but still good if you need to carry a load. There are mission sets that need an SPC but a DM MEPC with a hybrid cummerbund is a better option -Walsh
I wish they'd incorporate a quick disconnect system for the shoulder straps - its pivotal for TCCC to get access to the casualty without having to cut away straps or trying to slide it over the casualty's head
Yea I've talked to em about it. The issue is adding it impacts everyone by making shouldering harder while adding features only a small fraction needs. The crye SPC is only one that pulls it off without having a shouldering issue anyway. -Walsh
@@ThinLineDefenseCo M-tac actually makes one that has a nylon strap sewn to the shoulder strap that basically acts as a rip cord for the velcro when under shoulder pads or pack straps. But even a 2" tube on the support side would make it 10x easier to get the plate carrier off in an emergency
Just got my mepc today and had the same thought, look into the javelin concepts quick doff shoulder strap system im thinking it may be compatible enough to make work
First, that haircut really works for you, looking good! Second, I bought a new one just because the updates where enough for me, also it's nice to have another one in case my buddy (same plate size) needs it lol.

Is the MEPC as low profile as the slickster ? I have the slickster and it's great for concealability but the quality is subpar. Mainly looking to replace the slickster since I just got my K-zero and absolutely Blown Away by the quality and features but it's more like a micro combat carrier.
Yes, MEPC is very low profile. We have a separate review where we ranked it with our other low vis carriers (slickster, AC1, Otte gear) and it's #1 for me. - Jason
As much as I love my Javlin A-JAC (my personal fave), the price of the MEPC V2 is really what makes me recommend it over the A-JAC to my friends. I personally think that the features of the A-JAC and the MEPC are comparable. The price, MEPC wins. I guess the things that the A-JAC has over the MEPC is the range of adjustment for the shoulder straps and how similar the shoulder straps are to the SPC design (which I favor).
Love my Shaw arc v2. Have Axl equinox bund, ferro side soft armor, unobtanium sleds quad placard, first spear admin, single esstac kywi on left, and warrior assault systems dual horizontal rear dangler with esstac kywi inserts in those too. Still need a hydration bladder and ifak but broke af atm since car went to crap and had to trade her in. Oh and highcom sas7 large Sapis. Still fine tuning fit but absolutely love the setup so far. Keep the videos up. Love em. And please do a review on the arc v2 lol. They have coyote and black still.
oh I got a full multicam Shaw Arc v2....and the IIIa inserts...and all the other ridiculous rear pack and whatever else is in the corner with it. It's a nice setup but that pricetag....goodddddnesss. It's so hard because it's crazy crazy nice but it doesn't really hold plates any better than the other ones for 1/4 the cost. I'm looking to do that full video soon though! -Walsh
yea you'd be totally fine, MC plates help with the comfort too. Just make sure you have it fitted and sized right. But I rock my stupid loaded one and have no issues with comfort. -Walsh
I would like to know ( if possible , if some of the followers have tried it) if the 3AC ADAPT Cummerbund from Ferro Concepts and its 3AC Side Soft Armor, would work with the MEPC, and how to choose the size. That could be interesting to some, as the soft armor integration is rather interesting. (Maybe an idea for a future video - francken carriers ,what could work with what 😉)

don't understand how the K-0 edged out this carrier in the "minamal PC" department. One of the foudnations of a minimal carrier is to be worn covertly. no way you can do that with a K-0.

I think K19 and K-Zero are more comfortable than the MEPC. My current two setups. K Zero with heavy loadout. MEPC 1.0 in a low visibility loadout. I love both - Jason

super comfy. But it also depends if you go totally nuts. I work out in mine and have it loaded down with like 30+lbs of nonsense

I have not. But at that price you're well into the k-zero, MEPC, and almost even shaw prices.

It works but if you wanted full coverage I'd use a different carrier like a 6094g4

They made some iterative upgrades and refer to the newest version as 2.0.
