Honestly, considering that the drop dash is just an extra addition for a remaster, something that wasn't planned in the og generations, all it needs to work properly is to change the input just like the one in the video, it won't be comparable to the boost in terms of utility, but will be a good extra option for newcomers when they run out of boost gauge, if you could cancel stomp into drop dash would be an entire different case, an excellent addition i would say
Dropdash doesn't belong in the boost-style gameplay. Only the adventure-style. And even then, it shouldn't be better than the spindash. At least in my opinion.
Actually, why not? Let it be, it doesn't bother anyone, if you want to use it as another transportation option, use it, if you don't want to, don't use it.
@@disiakfound Basic Gameplay design. Have you heard of such a thing before? If the feature is useless, it's just an unnecessary bloat. That's what dropdash for modern Sonic is(Classic Sonic is fine since level design has been designed around his spindash and dropdash is basically the same thing). Boost is infinitely superior in most if not all cases as the modern levels have been specifically designed around this feature and since OG Generations came before dropdash was even a thing, not a single Modern Sonic stage will take advantage of this feature, making it completely redundant. It's literally just there, so it looks like Sonic Team at least did SOMETHING to the "Sonic" side of Sonic X Shadow Generations.
@@peckneck2439when in the air in a boost game there was previously no way to easily continue your forward momentum after going airborne without risking flying off the level to your death. The dropdash has the safety of the stomp and the speed of the boost
Adventure style alone: betrayed
Boost style alone: betrayed
Them combined: MONEY
Wow That Drop Dash Is Kinda Weird But It's Alright
In SxSG for some reason you have to jump dash first. Weird
And if this does not happen, then platforming will be more difficult. So the fact that dropdash can only be used after jumpdash is good.
Well I mean I also don't think that's right either but it might actually be very useful for platforming and stuff
you can use different control and they mapped the air dash to another button like unkeashed i think so you ca drop dash like in frontiers
@@disiakfoundmaking the drop dash useless is a good thing?
Great!
Even better than in the actual remaster..
