You completely did not show the connection from the iPhone to the mixer.. skipped over it.. I'm a step by step guy... it would have been a great to see you hook up your iPhone to the mixer... To me.. the sound is most important, that's what people need to pop these videos. #js
You should run it back and show each section you're plugging up. From the laptop to the mixer.. from the iPhone to the mixer.. the wireless lavs.. Come on bro.. video is too good not to show the whole thing.. EMPOWER US.

Hey man so is the audio being picked up by the lav mic or is it a direct feed from your mixer? I’m having a hard time getting a direct audio source from my video camera (c 200) into my computer. When I try a direct connection from a lav it’s all distorted and high frequency sounding. If the sound just gets picked up from the lav mic it’s better than just your phone mic?
No its fed into the mixer using a different input from the lav mic.. so sound from the mic and the iPad are mixed in the mixer

Great stuff 👍 It would be good if you could EQ the Rode mic to mimic the sound of your main mic, with more low end boost etc. Although I don’t think the mixer software is on iOS? So it would have to be done on a computer. But once set, those settings are saved on the Yamaha.

Hi Henny! I really like this video and the setup you are using. Is the mixer you are using also compatible with 2 sets of Rode Wireless Go? For example if you want to mic up two people.

Henry, this is an awesome video and I love your set up. Thank you! I have an apogee mic which I use to mic up my piano. Is there a mute option on the Rode wireless mic because I need to talk between playing the piano when I am live.

Can I ask if there was some trick to getting all this working or is it perhaps that live streaming apps have changed the way they work now as I have an audio interface which I can plug into my iPhone and it shows up and works just fine inside something like Garageband and I'm able to record the audio which is going into the interface (sound directly from my computer) but as soon as I go into any live stream app on the phone they all revert back to using the built-in microphone on the iPhone :-( I'd really love to utilise high quality audio (the video I can live with as it is) but the apps always seem to use the iPhone microphone and I can't see a way to select the interface from within those apps?

Thank you!!!! question- if the ipad were to be connected to the speakers via Bluetooth would that bypass the need to plug the iPad into the mixer? last Question - is it possible to do this set up reverse with the music coming from the phone and live streaming on the iPad?

So I’ve got questions. I twitch stream my DJ sets using my iPhone 11. I get clear audio and video but the audio is in mono. I bought a irig2 a while back but it seems that won’t allow a stereo signal. From what I see you have a usb to lightning cable. Can’t I convert that to usb to 1/4” cable? I do the streams as a hobby and not trying to spend money on a lot of gear. I mean the Yamaha mixer is cheap and definitely could buy that if it’ll make my signal stereo. I’m just wondering if there are different cable options to eliminate another piece of equipment. I use a pioneer ddjsx2 controller so I’d assume that would be sufficient. Btw, so far you video has been the most informative. Please let me know. Thanks!

Hi, are you using internal video recorder from your iphone OR you using video recorder from another app (external) when using this mixer?
This is some high quality content sir. Love it. The yamaha ag is on the market for a long time now and has proven its records🎶. Back in the days I almost got myself a limited miku edition for 250 or so.. I guess that has gone up now. Finally, lets hope for our pleasure and creative creations more folks get serious on this. Same kinda setup here mainly in use for Smule, Facetime or guitar rec.
