I can’t thank you enough for this tutorial. I’ve been wanting to do this and also been looking at that exact Yamaha board for my set up anyway. Now I know I will definitely get that mixer board.

This was extremely helpful and saved me from spending around 400 bucks on the iRig Quattro plus this mixer I can take to smaller gigs or rehearsals and record/stream them with ease for around 100-150 bucks for a used MG10XU. I had no idea they sold those adapters to knock the level down enough for the iPhone to handle it. This is great, thanks a ton!!

Great video, as always, just want to confirm the plug style with you preparatory to using the same for my church. It appears that you are using a y-cord with left/right, 1/4", TS, male plugs to send a stereo output from a Yamaha MG10 to a 3.5mm TRS male plug. That 3.5mm TRS is then inserted in the female end of the Headset Buddy with a TRRS male plug on the opposite end. That TRRS plug is then inserted in the iPhone or connected to a dongle for use with a lightning plug. I appreciate all you do to serve the Lord and those trying the do the same through technology. Blessings!

So.. this setup was working fine for recording videos, and the live feedback I hear in my headset is great, but for some reason when I tried going live on TikTok it completely distorted my sound to where it was just static and wind. I adjusted the levels with Bossjock tho beforehand so I’m not sure why it’s getting blown out when live-streaming but fine for everything else?

Hey. So my dad bought our church a wireless audio cable for the fb live streaming setup and it seems like the iPhone XR doesn’t understand it’s supposed to receive audio from it. It seems to think it’s an audio output not an audio input. (I’ve also tried it on my iPhone 7 without any success) Is there any way to fix this? Has anyone else run into this issue? I haven’t checked the regular cables, but it seems like you’re saying that makes a ton of distortion unless we get the headphone buddy first.

I seem to have a problems with the boss jock Jr app. I’ve hooked up everything as you said to my iPhone and installed the app. When you push the lock symbol it works but it always seems to pick up from the iPhone speaker not from the mixer. It also says how are you listening when I’ve connect to the iPhone. It say’s headphone or speaker. I’ve tried connecting just with the cables and with an audio video interface adapter. It still picks up sound through the iPhone speaker. The audio interface is a small device I use for my canon camera and it works perfectly fine. I also install another audio metering app called Pro Movie and even that doesn’t seem to show or pick up the sound from the mixer using the cables or from my interface device. Not sure why it doesn’t work for my iPhone solution. Any suggestions. Thanks

How much better is using an audio interface from mixer to android, than just running direct from mixer straight into an android phone?
I'm running direct into phone now with 1/8'' trs jack, the recording is not great,
but not horrid like when I record 'open air' with no connections.

I appreciate this video. Can you do a video using the iRig Stream to iPad? I want to play the keyboard and sing in my Rode Wireless Go mic. Can you include how to use the Loopback so I can also use Backing Tracks that are on the same iPad I'm using for Livestream. If you can, I'd appreciate it!

oh man... that's a big order.... I dont think you can do that. I think youll have to have two ipads... one to do the stream and the other to play the tracks.... or better yet, use a full mixer setup like I do then into the ipad to the stream.... check out some of my diagrams worshiptheking.com/wtk-shop/wtkdownloads/

What would be the Android equivalent to that app. There are several out there.

Thanks for this video. I have watched it because I have this workflow: I use Shure’s PGA31 wireless headset to deliver sermons in church. The device’s receiver is connected to the mixer for the audio to be heard in the Church’s speakers. I have with me iRig and I want to know how to record my audio into my iPhone/ iPad? Can you please help me? I have subscribed😀

Yes, you would come off a output of your mixer into your iphone.... that could be done..... use an aux out or just a monitor or stereo output off your board, into your iphone... you may want to use a headset buddy for that as well... but it can be done.

Looks super easy. However, I already have my main outs going to my speakers. Tried using Aux outs, headphone out, and RCA record out. My iPad Pro with USB-C is not picking up any signal from the mixer. Cannot figure out how to get it to not use the on-board mic.
