    Great video! My church currently uses a program called switcher studio, which only allows iOS devices to use as a camera. But I am looking to upgrade to the atem mini pro to start using and actual camera, but after seeing this video I’m glad I’ll be able to keep using our iPhone as a second angle with the atem mini.

      @@LiveProductionTips quick question, is it possible to connect a Hdmi receiver to the phone? In case we wanted to move around we won’t have to be connected to an hdmi cable. That way it’ll be fully mobile.

      @@benjaminfernandez8467 so you mean like have a wireless transmitter connected to it ? Well you can get some wireless HDMI transmitters like Hollyland Mars but It will cost you some money for sure. Another way of doing is to connect to OBS using an App ( ex. Iriun app) but this way the signal is not always stable.

      It depends on your setup but if you are just recording and not streaming you can use an external recorder and sync audio to video during editing. There are interfaces also that can allow you to connect your mixer to the phone depending on which mixer you use, if you use a digital mixer you can record on a usb stick

      The sound mixer should be able to route a 1/4 mono out that you can cable to your phone. However, you may need a couple of adapters: 1) get a USB-C Male to 3 or 4 USB A inputs and a power input as well. Then get a USB to audio jacks sound device. Make sure that the USB sound is connected to your phone before you open the streaming/recording app. There should be an option in the setup menu to select the USB audio source as the main audio for your stream.

    Hi Sam, when using a smartphone as a second camera in a live-stream situation, how do you suggest acquiring the video signal in OBS? For example, if I have a Lumix M43 camera as one video source via a Camlink4k and USB cable, can I use FilmicPro to give me a second clean video signal via a lightening-to-USB cable using a second USB port on the same computer?

    • @LiveProductionTips
      @LiveProductionTips  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Grace,
      To my opinion you can use Filmic Pro to get a second angle with your phone. I wouldn’t recommend adding a second Camlink 4K capture card I would rather invest in something like Atem mini even the base model would still do the job, which would give you up to 4 HDMI inputs at a price of (2 camlink capture cards) plus it will be a more stable and upgradable Setup.
      So the Lightning to HDMI** adaptor combined with Filmic Pro should give you a clean HDMI out from your phone, send that to your capture card and mix with your A camera in OBS.
