I just scored an older rot free 24,000# tag trailer in about the same condition. This gives me some motivation to fix it up beyond just lights and a few boards.
Love the vibe of your channel sir.. keeping it simple and humble, letn the good work speak for itself. Nice Saturday morning content for me and my coffee. Cheers!
I’m interested to see more. Thats one heck of a freehand plasma circle - ⭕️ - nice job! You earned my subscription. Oh yeah, to the people that are whining about the music loop….there are typically multiple buttons on your device that you can use to mitigate your suffering. They are labeled “Volume” “Mute”…….
Thank you! I will say, this trailer is very close to finished and it's looking great. And yes, as a small "TH-camr" I don't have access to a very large variety of music so I make do with what I have. Thanks for watching!
Good video, I have done the same with an old trailer. I made a logging trailer out of mine, added a log arch and winch. I have less than $700 in it. Keep up with the videos.
I’ve done this several times, I roll them up on one side for disassembly as to not crawl into the chassis repeatedly! Also sand blasting the chassis and a coat of weld through primer are my first steps!
The Hydraulic Fluid in your forklift needs looking at bro. Your forks were sinking when you added wight to them 😅 or the seals.. grate vid by the way 👍
Anybody who thinks he should not have painted over that rust has never restored a trailer of this size - or has too much time on his hands. Life is too short to spend a vast amount of time grinding off an acre of what is non - structural surface rust. For as old as the trailer appears to be, the rust is negligible, and a coat of paint on a pressure-washed surface will add years of usefulness. The point is not to make a show car out of this trailer, but to put it back to work.
Couldn't have said it better myself! I have painted like this before with success. Plus it looks great.... Part 2 is coming soon, just got some final touches to finish up.
actually I can. this isn't an epoxy paint but its some bad ass stuff. just make sure read the instructions. need a self etching primer. Durbak-18. they can even Make custom colors. this stuff is so bad ass I used a half quart and put the extras in a pickle jar that was sealed for another day. let it sit for a few weeks and a half inch of the top was solid. I had to use a large hole saw to make entry to use the rest of the paint in the bottom of the jar. very impressive stuff. give It plenty of dry time as its thick good stuff. @@EquipmentRevivalYT
I often see propane, etc., being used to seat the tires on the wheels. A lot of heat on the inside of the tires. Can't be good for them. I wonder if that accounts for all the trailers on the side of the road with blown tires.
Ok buddy you got me I’m going to subscribe let’s see this trailer come back together I can’t lie I’m impatient I’ll be outa of here you take to long to upload the next video good luck with the progress 😅
@@EquipmentRevivalYT The Rustoleum you used is fine for this application. I wouldn't use it on a vehicle, but for a trailer like this, it should hold up just fine. However, a good power wash isn't enough to clean it. Next time, also use some wax and grease remover.
Interesting video but would have been much better without the irritating music. Has anyone, ever, said looped music adds to the enjoyment of a video? Please try future videos without the stupid music.

Really good score on the trailer. Looking forward to the next episode.
Awesome progress! That’s going to be a nice trailer once it’s all done. Can’t wait to see it done. I’m a new subscriber.

NEW SUBSCRIBEER: Dude absolute amazing video I am obsessed with watching these kind of videos 10\10

Looks like you do nice work. I would love to start a very similar channel as I’ve always got projects on the go.
Love this video
New to your channel but not to your content, outstanding heavy metal restoration! Looking forward to more content
smart move ! You can completely restore that trailer for 1/2 the cost of a new one . Not only saving $$ but taxes as well . Well done !
Could even be less than half the price

Keep making videos!!
We need part 2!
Yes save it it's beats buying a new one but this trailer has better steel
Oh, great, another time lapse. Makes sorting what to watch easy.
Curious as to what you would prefer? You want to watch a 20 hour video?
All that and he paints over rust
Paint over rust paint. It's a new thing
Some new paints you can do that. Most of them are crap, but some actually do work well.
Save it bud. I would paint it and put some duallys under it.
Most definitely save this trailer
It was funny watching the forks slowly lower on their own on the timelapse
Actually just fixed that! Was a failing pressure relief valve.

why not use an epoxy type paint that's super tuff? looks good
That's actually a great idea! I did not think of that, do you recommend any brands or types?

A lot of flat tyres on that spot, from all the removed nails?

Just curious what this is worth??
I have a similar gooseneck that needs the breaks put on it.
Save it

All my trailers are “decayed” I guess. Trailer looks ready to roll.
....maybe show it being painted with wheels installed and wiring and lights a total completion ' title says restored 👍🏼🇨🇦
Part 2?
Thats Awesome... But...
You should have put a Rust converter on first then sprayed it!!!🫵🫵
I think you need a good dust mask, protect those lungs….
It was a nice job up until you painted over all that rust,
Mask, Safety Goggles and Gloves 🇨🇦😄
Not to bad. Music was EXTREMELY annoying
no , no not rustolium , yuk . sandblast and epoxy , last forever 1
What brand of paint have you found to work best for this type of application?

@@EquipmentRevivalYT Put bedliner on it, it's indestructible compared to 1k paints. It costs more but you're saving money in the long run
Interesting but I don't care to watch fast motion work from a distance. Sorry
Edit man, edit. Highlights. Few of us have time to waste.

Can’t stand the music loop. Annoying.
Why would you not grind the paint off before welding just asking you want a for instance I'm talking about the trailer Jack 9:24
