Definitley the peak of modern GWR traction variety right here, so many different trains in one company, 43's, 150's, 158's, 165/166's and 800's all operating out of the same station, fantastic stuff, with the only missing culprits being the electrostars and the god forsaken pacers XD Awesome video nonetheless dude, hope you are well
Thanks very much, I was rather happy to catch 2 XC HST sets that day. Really would be good to see XC bring in more to expand the fleet. Especially seeing as their trains are starting to get busier and busier
Great video keep em coming. Those seagulls made me laugh, if the trains don't entertain you the seagulls will or failing that the pigeons will. I will look forward to your next video kind regards, Gary.
Great history Log. Your work on this has blown up, Top Shelf. This is another huge heritage site which means no touching, love the elevated ones. Bloody Beach-Chicken Cameo Haha! Really like the Barn Terminals, so Ol'skool. All meat and no Potatoes, pure brake grind and still a great show. Thanks Tor, aces! P.S. Hey, Sir. Paddington ;} B.P.
I'm really enjoying getting to know the historical facts about all of the stations because it broadens my knowledge and then helps me further educate others aswell :) It's a great station in the UK to come to with a great amount of variety each and every day. The further down the line I go towards London the more busier the line will become :)
Thank you kindly for saying so, I'm currently focussing on my GWML series at the moment so I wouldn't be going off the line unless it's for a subscriber special. But I will go to Derby at some stage as I wish to get a film done there. The next station that I'm going to film at is going to be Oxford this coming Friday. However I have 3 more films that will be uploaded from when I was out on the 4th of August. They are Bath Spa, Chippenham and Swindon.
If you do the SEML next year, my recommendations would be to Start at London Charing Cross and then go all stations to New Cross and go straight to Petts Wood, then to Orpiington, then go to all stations to Ashford or Hastings
My plan for the SEML would've been to start at Dover and work my way up to London from there, ending at both Victoria and Charing Cross. But I do like your suggestion
Really cool Video. Can you film at Teyhnam on the Chatham mainline or Ashford International on the BML and HS1 PLZ cause im filming there really would love your autograph:) From your biggest Fan TRAINSFAN 2006
Thanks very much for saying so, I'm glad you found this enjoyable :) I have a film this year from Ashford International incase you were wondering. However at some stage I'm sure I can film at Teyhnam for you. But at this stage I couldn't say when this would be. Have you got a way in which I can contact you so we can get something sorted? I have a photo of myself standing in front a DB Cargo UK class 92 that brought in the first freight train from China which I can happily sign for you and send off to you if you so wish for that. Otherwise I'm sure at some stage we can meet up at a station somewhere on the network. Many thanks.
Thanks very much, it's a great station to come to. You don't have to ask for permission to film here because it's so popular with train spotters that the staff just leave you to it. As long as you aren't posing a danger to anyone then you'll be fine to film here
I would probably say that Bristol Temple Meads is the better of the stations to go to really. And for the best views I would say go to same spot I was on when I was here. You get a great all round view of the station and the trains approaching
Tornado922 yeah thanks mate that's why I'm going to parkway hoping to catch at least one or two freight trains hopefully would be nice just makes the video better when freight trains is on camera
If you wish to catch any freight trains then I would recommend checking out when they are most likely to run through the station. I tend to use RealTimeTrains for all of my information
My only assumption is that the LNER sets are still in their testing phase as they need to get clearance to operate along the length of the ECML. And they would need to get the appropriate amount of driver training complete to get enough units into operation before they release some of their HST and 225 sets to other companies. However from what I understand the GWR 800's were the first to be completed and had been intended to be the first to be put into revenue earning service in the country. LNER or VTEC at the time had the idea to introduce their fleet later next year :)
I have a film on my channel from Plymouth if you would like to check it out. I have also got a film from Dawlish from the same day :) I have every intention to film at Exeter at some stage but I don't know when this will be
Thanks very much for saying so but sadly no I didn't give you a shoutout. It's not something I do unless someone happens to be filming with me on the day
That would be an LNER HST if you were on the ECML. Unless you mean when VT had them running on the WCML before the voyagers and the pendolinos came into operation?

I thought that the 13:30 CrossCountry service was from Plymouth to Dundee Via Leeds Instead of Newquay to Newcastle.
It was so long ago I cant remember

Whilst I was there I was tempted to ask if you had a channel of your own haha, now I know :)
Tornado922 yeah :)
Brilliant video, I need to get down there sometime and do you have to get permission by the staff to film their?
Thanks very much, it's a great station to come to. You don't have to ask for permission to film here because it's so popular with train spotters that the staff just leave you to it. As long as you aren't posing a danger to anyone then you'll be fine to film here

In Bristol where is the best place to go train spotting what platform?
I would probably say that Bristol Temple Meads is the better of the stations to go to really. And for the best views I would say go to same spot I was on when I was here. You get a great all round view of the station and the trains approaching
What platform was u on Mate
I'm going here again Friday and going to parkway hoping to catch some freight
I hope you have a great time. You might not catch any freight from here however you are more likely to catch them from Parkway
Tornado922 yeah thanks mate that's why I'm going to parkway hoping to catch at least one or two freight trains hopefully would be nice just makes the video better when freight trains is on camera

Nice Bristol temple meads was designed by isambard kingdom brunel
Yes I know :)
Why does GWR have their 800 units in revenue service, yet LNER still is testing their 800 units?
My only assumption is that the LNER sets are still in their testing phase as they need to get clearance to operate along the length of the ECML. I have a film on my channel from Plymouth if you would like to check it out. I have also got a film from Dawlish from the same day :) I have every intention to film at Exeter at some stage but I don't know when this will be

I have seen a Virgin HST in Town
That would be an LNER HST if you were on the ECML. Unless you mean when VT had them running on the WCML before the voyagers and the pendolinos came into operation?
