I'm always curious what British food is like abroad, I tried it in Benidorm, but now I wanted to see what it was like on an entirely different continent - AFRICA. Would appreciate your support on this video as always, got some super exciting videos coming soon that I can't wait to post!
While a lot of people know to avoid the local water in certain places, quite a few people forget to also avoid things like salads, which could've been washed in local water, and ice cubes which could be made with local water, both of which are pretty common ways people get dodgy stomachs even when being careful
Blows my mind that you are more baffled by the potato wedges, rather than the SALAD on the "full english".... 😂😂 Keep em coming Ed. We're hungry for more!
The cleanest arse in Cairo is a bold statement. How many other people did you survey to get to a fair representation of how dirty the typical arse in Cairo is?
Your videos make me happy - I've had hospital today (transplant clinic). You've managed to add a bit of humour to a otherwise grim day. (PLEASE make more videos of British food abroad). Oh and keep up the good work! Sorry to hear about the food poisoning though, hopefully you recovered quick time.
Oh lovey! Get well soon. So glad that Ed's videos make you happy. He is uplifting. You just rest and YT binge. I watched Inbetweeners when stuck in hospital for a couple of weeks. Even got the rest of the ward giggling too, Laughter is excellent medicine!
I really enjoy your food Reviews, and you're really good at it. You talk nicely about the flavours and textures, and your shots of eating the food, and your expressive face are great. Keep it up.
All the places he went to had fixed prices and were quite expensive anyway, it's not really foreigner prices in this situation. Roy's smokehouse is in the Marriott hotel in Zamalek, it's obviously very expensive. Also the EGP has lost value since you were last there, it's now 60EGP - £1.
@@britishahlawy9095 it was this anyway buddy I follow the economy - I work in the finance industry :) but yes you will find a menu in English with different prices than the arabic menu in a lot of places, it's still amazingly cheap, don't get me wrong, but yeah - edit, i dont mean at places like the marriot
On the Kit Kat, when I was in Egypt a few years ago working on an event, I had a bar of Dairy Milk and the local team were amazed by it as chocolate is really highly taxed there. So everything is very thin chocolate, or very expensive.
Yeah chocolate here is pretty pricey, compared with other desserts. But there are so many good, cheap local desserts that it doesn't really matter. You can get Roz blaban (rice pudding) for like 7EGP (11p) and half a kilo of kunafa for 60-100egp (£1-1.50). Same portion of Kunafa would cost you like £15-20 in the UK easily.
Hope you're feeling better. The 'trotts' whilst overseas comes with a variety of different names, The Raj's Revenge (India), Spanish Inquisition (Spain, circa 1980s) for example. I believe (in my unqualified medical diagnosis) , you had the much maligned 'Aztec Two Step'.
Interesting video , I like your dry, down to earth humour and optimism, I travel a lot and like trying another British staple, a curry when I'm away ,most recently in Havana ( pretty good) and Lisbon where the service was crap but the curry was very good .Keep the videos coming!
Nothing gets me buzzing like an unexpected ed chapman upload at a time of night when there’s fuck all to watch. Well played sir 👌👏 you consistently top trump my viewing pleasure 😂.
I absolutely love an 'arse hose' or anything that sprays your bum clean. It should be the norm in my opinion. If I had the money i would get one in my bathroom. In Turkey they are built into the toilet with a little tap in the side. I think it is strange we don't have them to be honest.
I assume it was beef bacon and beef sandwiches, due to the religious beliefs they don’t eat pork. When I worked in Egypt I got used to eating beef bacon and sausages and struggled to eat pork bacon and sausages when I came back to the UK
If you ever get the two bob bits again mate get some Immodium before you fly out to your next destination. It'll help firm you up straight away, get the instant ones :) you'll thank me later.
Love your videos. As a solo female traveller please go to Vegas and do a review... ..considering going next year.. would love to see your dry sense of humour take on this ..
I think every tourist destination try to replicate Richmond skinless sausages which are popular the the worst example of a sausage or cylinder or meat to have existed. Europe at least makes them tasty by being like hotdogs
Well my local pub here in Hobart, Tasmania does mushy peas with its steak and Guinness pie and fish and chips. There are also quite a few other places which do it with Fish and Chips so yes, people outside of the UK definitely know what mushy peas are and you can even buy cans of Batchelors mushy peas at the supermarket
the runs were possibly from the "mint sauce" with the fish, if they didn't make it with bottled water? just guessing, i've fallen foul to cold sauces before
There are two things I don’t really like in life. Food poisoning and harassment. Therefore, I shall avoid Egypt, and particularly Cairo, like the plague. Great video as always
Just so u know my friend, the “KitKat” that u tasted WASNT an Egyptian version it was the real Mcoy! The version was the one sold in Egypt thats all 😂 the writing in the back is a reflection of the country its sold in….👍 I thought u knew this? Anyway, loved the vid pal….keep it up 👌
Did you drink tap water? Or ice as that is renowned for giving bad tummy been to Egypt x 4 so know to avoid. I will say hygiene rating for restaurants is very lacking sometimes. Hope you are getting better. Also have to be careful bottles are sealed when buy them as sometimes venders refill with tap water.
@@EdChapman23 suggestion for video idea by eg a chocolate chip cookie from standard supermarket ie Asda Tesco Morrison etc and see which is best. Then do same but from takeaway place ie McDonald’s subway etc.

Really enjoying these type of videos mate being a fussy eater always try look for British food on holiday abroad
Just wondering, mate. The food poisoning... Was that from on-board airplane food?
If you can't wait to post........ just post them. Job done.
Awesome
There is more places are better than these you can find at the downtown
As an Egyptian, I'd love to treat you to some amazing Egyptian dishes next time mate. Hit me up! 🇪🇬
He should try Foul Medames. I love that, one of the best breakfasts in the world.
I love kushari!!

The hotel didnt need to do anything, they knew that food would eventually be violently 'extracted'
'A creepy Uncle version of fish and chips' 😂
We watched it, no need to repeat it you moonhowler
British food in different countries is a good idea for a series, thoroughly enjoyed this and the benidorm one

It doesn’t cost as much as you think. Ask a decent plumber
It’s just messy drying up 😂
Calendula ointment is a good thing to have for soreness round there. Very soothing.

activated charcoal also a good option, more naturaland stomach returns to normal quicker Immodium is pretty much concrete!
@@JP-oe4ryshouldn’t advise that, you don’t know what other medications people are taking, the charcoal absorbs it
The full English/Egyptian breakfast looked delicious I'd definitely eat that I like the Egyptian twist on it
You are an absolute legend Ed!

Only just found you and love your videos! I was shocked to find out you're from Leeds though, you sound like Josh Widdicombe - you ever had that?

Iv been to Italy multiple times and the best pizza iv ever had was in Agadir Morocco
"It doesn't taste Egyptian!" Quality.
I worked in Cairo and never thought of eating English food as the local food was so good😮
Great video- so funny😂 x
"The cleanest arse in Cairo" 😂😂😂
The fish n chips give you the brown rain !!!
Nothing like home comforts when you’re on holiday 😂
I can’t believe you thought that place would have mushy peas🤣 mate nobody outside of UK even knows what mushy peas are
You're correct. What exactly is mushy peas??
peas but mushed up
They can't even get them right down south, though I guess the hard water is probable the reason for that.

New Ed video, today is a good day
Great content enjoyed that
Absolutely outstanding 😂😂😂

there was so so much information in this video that i wish i'd never heard
noone can do a full english like us brits because their idea of breakfast abroad is usually what we eat for a mid-day snack
How can you eat that breakfast and not even mention the salad on the plate
Leeds United shirt, what a man. MOT!!
2:25 Do they have Yiddish music in Egypt?
They do now
What he lacks in lass, he makes up with class.
Love the content mate but you went all the way there and we only get an 11min video 🤣

Good job!
Talking about having the shits whilst wearing a Leeds Utd shirt…something’s just go together 😉😀
Fish and chips with a side of Indian dips 😂
Tiverton Devon
Here is the big question, did they do scraps at the chippy? 😂
Did they have any british biscuits?
You just know that curry sauce wasn’t spicy at all this is Ed’s spicy🤣
Mate you gotta do a chocolate bar challenge type review
Great vlogs ,Ed 👌 Try a cheap flight to the USA, you'll laugh your balls off over there and make great content. Just a suggestion, Sir.
I hope Ed survives, last time I tried a chippy in Majorca I was bedbound with stomach pain
how do you even go back to living the peasant life of toilet roll when you've got used to powerwashing your hole?
every day is a struggle, might go get a waterpistol

The fact that these menu items exist mean there are people that travel all the way to Egypt and still go looking for English style food. How sad…
The breakfast is never gonna work in a country that doesn't eat pork 😂
The ending 😂😅😢
What did that kitkat cost 🤣
