@@ItsMeWendyveewhat a load of bollocks, your saying a mcd’s meal cost $36… you can get a meal here for less than $10 and they have similar prices across the world 🤦♂️

I'm a Singaporean but I think Switzerland is way more expensive for tourists. You can tour Singapore without breaking the bank (water for under $1 and proper meals under $5) but you won't find that in Switzerland. What's expensive in Singapore are the housing, car-ownership etc which are only paid by locals and residents
I had a layover in Changi airport going to Australia and 1 beer cost the same as 200 Marlboro cigarettes 😂. This was in 2011 though, so things may have changed.
I love the little "whoosh" moment you had, when you went from talking about how expensive everything is there, to then saying how much a McDonalds employee makes and asking if everyone drives BMWs. lol. Great vid as always though.
I saw your videos many years ago when you had a few thousand subs, i rediscovered you through AwayDays. Honestly, hands down some of the best content on youtube. Keep it up mate!
Honestly buzzing everytime I see you’ve put up a video you crack me up bro!!! I Would give anything to go on a trip with you it would be funny as F!!!!!
3:05 - that graph is weird - low, high and median are *all* CHF 53,040 - "entry level starts at that and "most experienced workers make up to..." the same.
@EdChapman23 An English man living in Geneva for 14 years. It's all about finding the bargains...easier to know obviously through living here! But you can eat and drink for waaayyy less
I went to Zurich in 2018, and when I arrived I bought a salad which I could barely afford and didn’t fill me up. A punnet of tomatoes was the equivalent of £4.26. Beautiful place but thank god I was only there for 3 days because I would’ve starved.

Yes, it can be an expensive country, but again choose where and when you buy. The Swiss McDonalds sell rösti which is like a seasoned hashbrown based on tradition Swiss rösti or rosti style fries. The also seel a rösti burger (with the potato patty, bacon, and Emmental cheese. I've also seen some version of this in Austria and Germany.
RE: FIFA Museum, you should have posted them an envelope a few days in advance with twice the entrance entrance fee in unmarked notes , Gave them a description of yourself, and you would have got unlimited entrance for friends and family Treatment, IE: A free Toblerone.
Found one of your videos with my girlfriend about 6 months ago we haven’t stopped laughing since your so naturally funny keep the videos coming or pls start a stand up show🤞😂
Give me Singapore every time. The food markets are great value, some beautiful parks and amazing combo of cultures. Zurich is nice, safe, clean etc., but Switzerland has other stunning places to visit which I'd rather blow my budget on.
you can get a working holiday in new zealand or australia for up to 3 years as a british citizen, ive been in nz for almost a year and half and been the time of my life. flights may be expensive and take a while to save up for but definalty worth it and would make a great video series :)
You can use the Google text translator "camera" option in Android for the translation of menus, signs, plane/train station timetables etc. It's really handy. Select to/from in the languages...point the camera...and voila...you see the weird squiggles change in real time into English. p.s. Churches are basically big cuckoo clocks but people come in and out instead of birds.
For those prices id expect Wilson Palacios to meet and greet meet me upon arrival and act as my tour-guide & chauffeur during the duration of my stay in Zurich.
Prices in Switzerland are just plain stupid. I was there last September having flown in Basel on the way to Europa Park in Germany. It cost me nearly 6 quid for a 10 minute bus ride from the airport to the station, I went to the Burger King over the road from the station and paid over 15 quid for a Whopper meal and then got a bottle of water for the train ride and paid nearly 4 quid for it.
I believe Reykjavík in Iceland is more expensive than Switzerland have you thought about nipping over there for a trip it sounds real good fun with all there volcanoes and hot springs it would certainly be different and you like to be different.
I did some work in Zurich a few years ago for a British company on British wages. Bloody hell expensive is not a strong enough word! Had to have a argument with them over my expenses but if the average salary is that big! It sort of makes sense. Lovely country and people though 👍
The fact you bitched about a hostel which like most backpack hostel you do share with other people unless you pay more for a single room 😂 no hate thought

Try Oslo, I took £600 in cash for 3 days had to take another £300 out the ATM for the last day, Money was spent on food drink museums public transport, First night restaurant cost for 3 was £345.
I've honestly never known anything like it, would you pay these kind of prices?
28 pound for a drink and sandwich is wild whos gonna pay that

Your McD's would cost more than that in the US. Particularly in an urban McD's.

Silly prices! The body parts museum might have been interesting! Probably would have cost an arm and a leg to get in though 😂😂
14:59 - "Is that Awaydays" - best throwaway line in the video. 🙂
Took my partner here in August and wasn’t prepared for the cost of everything. We had a kitchen in our hotel room and cooked every night 😂
Thanks!GREAT VIDEO THANKS.😀
Thank you 😊
Ed you know my feeling about 20+ minute videos.... Thank you Sir 👌🏼🙌🏼 Another banger
Switzerland is well known for expensive, not a budget country but is beautiful.

Sorry about that 😅

Beckham only English player? Bobby Charlton was there aswell haha. Great vid Ed!
wow these prices are crazier than Britain's! I didn't even think that was possible! lol
