There's a lot of factors to consider with punishes, remaining stamina, your opponents hp, whether or not you're surrounded by allies or enemies. Punishes can be situationally better one time than an another and I think giving the options is the best way to encourage players to learn. It's also more fun I think. 🤔🙂

I feel like since cent got his rework, people forget he still has the quick heavy soft feint into GB and don't really utilitize it which is a mistake because it's something I always expect vs another cent, plus it's easy to tell whether it was a chain light or a chain heavy because the lights are slashes whereas heavies are stabs, great to see your boy Matt is still out here helping newer players or players new to the character 😘❤️❤️
I find there's a lot of newer players lately and I'm happy to provide help in that area. I almost forgot about the soft feint GB myself, it's why it's later in the video! You're right about Cent's animations though, the light and heavy strikes are quite distinct from one another. Tiandi is similar in the fact that he two hands the weapon for heavies but one hands for lights.

15:30 i just wanted to say that this still exists i just checked, i got it on my 4th try so its not that hard. Once you do it a few times i find it easier to pull off than some of his other punishes. The trick is to unlock when you start to parry as in i let go of L2 and then when my trigger is going back press heavy and you should be able to see a small white circle thing around your character when you parry so you know when you did it right. Worst case scenario you just do eagles talons which isnt even that bad. Total damage is 52 and you can follow up with your jab so its really op. Also you have to press heavy before you fully lock on otherwise u just do eagles talons. (Btw this also works on jormungander, you can do heavy to bash to hamarr slam)

This is how I think you can get better at him. You play both 300 and gladiator at the same time while you were no shirt a cape and some shorts while you scream bloody heck as you Sparta them off ledges

I find rush quite useful in my eyes it allows me to save teammates and to catch up on those enemies with a head start or to take a enemy off of a important thing quickly But all of this is just my opinion on rush
It is a good feat in it's own right and has many instances where it can be game changing, like taking the shield banner in Breach. However in overall effectiveness I find Bounty Hunter to be unparalleled in utility.

Jorm isn't nearly as good at draining stamina as he/she once was but pissing them off can be amusing. You would be passing up on Haymaker though which is ill advised given its potency.
I just bought him and I'm having trouble getting combos and parry's off, I'm coming off of exclusively using kensai so obviously there's differences. Any tips? I mainly play Dominion and Breach
Well the most noticeable differences will be your range has decreased alongside bit having access to a side dodge attack. The best advice I can give you is play around with your feint options, Cent has a lot of stamina so you can fake out your opponent with your jab, zone and unblockable feints, test your opponents reactions and then start committing to decisions. Also be mindful of your surroundings, Centurion likes to play near walls.
Do you recommend maining Centurion for a new player? I have 1 week playing and still looking for which heroe to main. I am practicing with BP and Nuxia but looking for a third option too for when I get bored using just 1 haha
Centurion has a lot going on in his moveset. He is a strong character and I wouldn't dissuade people from playing him even if they are new. Just have to keep in mind his moveset and punish options are more complicated than that of other heroes and despite having a large stamina pool, his mix ups are stamina intensive so requires efficient stamina management on behalf of the player. However he is a very fun character to use and he is a strong one too, able to dictate the pace of a fight if that's what you're looking for.
Welcome back, Can you make a guide or series on how to play against ( character ) , because its sometimes frustrating to play against someone that you don’t know whats his moveset, especially if you don’t have the character, Nuxia is an example for that when you don’t know how her traps work, or meeting a dancing Tiandy, I know you can train on the training area or hero tactics but I think a video on that would be more helpful.

This can be the case if you're playing a 4v4 mode and the Shugoki has the feat 'Rock Steady' active. That feat prevents knockdowns from out of stamina parries, throws, revenge auto parries and some moves like Highlander's Caber Toss and Centurion's charged jab.
They might do, I think it's on Ps now too. You could use the free trial to play for a while, shop around though, For Honor is quite cheap these days and you can earn all DLC in game.
