if your guard is on the side when you throw, you can immediately unlock to still get the two top heavies that you would normaly get when in top guard, confirming the 70 damage oos punish also, the tier 2 feat kunai confirms a zone for 35 damage in total.
So I just tested this and you are correct this does indeed work! However if you unlock and perform two heavies you cannot dodge cancel the recovery. Still this could be the difference between a win and a loss so I will pin this comment for all to see. 👍 Not sure about the Kunai, Zone combo, I'll check that and get back to you.
@@Mattman_90 I forgot to mention the synergy of kunai and slip through, let's say you dodge and then throw kunai with the confirmed (i think) zone, that would potentially net you a total of 41 damage from a passive 3rd feat and a 2nd feat that has a really low cooldown, kind of op.
@@riperrini5238 It would have to be within range of the zone at least if it is confirmed but it's a good source or unblockable and unparryable burst damage. I wouldn't say its OP, Shinobi can get more with Shooting Stars off of just the dodge.

Been playing this game for almost two years now and Orochi finally started to vibe with me after a handful of attempts to learn the character. Im on PC so "lightspam" doesn't really work when any players worth their salt can parry half of your lights on reaction and get a free heavy on you. Meaning this character was pretty hard to do well with for a long time for me as I didn't have the fundamentals to build upon with all the techniques you went over in this video. Now that I got all around better with deflects and reading opponents, this character is super fun as I feel like they really are made for people who like to outplay and capitalize on enemy mistakes, with good momentum. This guide really helps me BTW. I wont lie though, my main reason for wanting to learn this character is that I absolutely love all of their armors and executions.
I'm very pleased you found the video helpful. 🙂 Orochi does have some great fashion and executions, I really like the newest one! You are very much correct though, light spam can be a death sentence and Orochi succeeds based on how well you out maneuver your opponent. The hero is designed as a counter attacker and has many good tools to achieve that, unfortunately just nothing to bait out attacks in the first place. It took a long time for Orochi to vibe with me too but the hero is fun once you get into a good rhythm.
@@theghostoftsushima I just started maining orochi and let me tell you how much of an advantage it is that both other players as well as other Orochis think like this. Coming from Tiandi, I know a bit about how to mix things up and that heavy top unblockable as well as the deflect attacks and any heavy tbh really catches opponents off guard. Also the back dodge light is extremely good to punish unblockables (sometimes even on reaction!). Orochi does have quite a few tricks up his sleeve and if you dodge alot and play kinda aggresively you can dominate the scoreboard without any accusations of light spam.
Great video !!! Another cool tip is the new buffed Crashing Wave chains to a GB which catches people in 4’s all the time . It’s super quick . You can also GB or Zone directly after a hurricane blast . Nice guide !! Not all of us Orochi’s are spammers !! He’s one of the most challenging hero’s to play at high rep . Great job !!
Thank you. 🙂 Crashing wave does have very good recovery making some follow ups quick and difficult to deal with, though nothing is confirmed. Same with Hurricane blast, on hit you recover quickly. I certainly agree that Orochi is a difficult hero to play at high level, I do hope the character gets buffed soon.
Never knew you could soft feint your Hurricane blast into wind gust or guard break or dodge! Might use it more often now, had always avoided it before.
I'm pleased you learned something from my guide. 🙂 Though you're not wrong in avoiding Hurricane Blast, it's only real use is to out trade your opponent when you think they will carry on attacking you, the mix up it provides either leads back into Wind Gust or into a GB which grants you the same damage, unfortunately the soft feints really don't help the move.
I'm a bad orochi player because I do find my self light spaming somtimes because I haven't learned any of these moves except the zephyr slash 4:00 I would recommend waiting for people to try and attack you at the start then use zephyr strike to start of your attack then make it into a big chain I've been watching good orochi players and I'm starting to learn how to not light spam and use diffrent attacks I'm a new player and I've just started today and I see most people spaming there unblockable's against me and my teammate and idk any other moves so this really help me now I can counter them without being annoying and spamming lights so thank you I'll try to be the best orochi player i can so I wont get more hate on orochi
I'm pleased that the video has helped you get better with Orochi. I'd like to say though, do not worry under any circumstance about people hating on Orochi or how you play the character. Orochi does need buffs without a doubt and the devs have made his lights fast as per their intention. That doesn't mean that you have to refrain from using lights repeatedly. You should always avoid being predictable but it's up to your opponents to stop your attacks, if they complain, the onus of improvement is on them and not you. Light attacks are dangerous to use over and over again as the parry punish can be devastating but they can be used to great effect if only to condition your opponent into parrying on light timing for them to eat a heavy that you prepared. Long story short, ignore the haters and play the way you want to whilst always looking to improve. Might I recommend my friend and fellow TH-camr KyruKun. He's an excellent orochi player, you can find a link to his channel in the video description.
@@Mattman_90 yea I understand know so It does take a little skill if you light spam a little because I have to know when to stop so you dont get punished when you get parried i see but still I feel bad for light spamming but it's what the dev's intended to for so I wont feel as bad I'll pratice other moves over and over again until I get them perfect were I can do them constantly in battles but yea I'll play any way I want thanks dude I'll try my best I'll be sure to check out that other guy I've been watching nova king mostly itll be good to expand my knowledge of play styles of diffrent orochi players

My advice for revenge attacks for a feat, is to build up while you can in 1v1's, so when a teammate comes to aid them, your revenge meter will be full sooner than without the feat. Also aids in the offensive meta as believe it or not, sometimes it only takes one hit to get into a revenge-state. This is good for an orochi that wants to be outnumbered. I've tried a tool feat and I just wasn't revenging as often. Works exceptionally well for harrassing the commander in breach matches, too. Paired with slip through and bounty hunter, the attack bonus from revenge will have many people falling and you full of health if you play your cards right. This is just an alternate build if anyone's interested and comfortable with trying new play-styles. Hope it helps.
That's a very interesting build and I think I might try it out especially in breach. Though I don't know many Orochi's that want to be outnumbered. Very good points though and I appreciate the explanation. 👍

@@kamedou2748 I would love to. I'm waiting specifically to see how Orochi changes within the context of his recent TG. I will need some willing pc players to help me record though as I intend to make a more advanced guide. Unfortunately finding willing participants on PC is proving a little difficult.
I love how players blame me of light spamming which ironically, they also spam their unblockeables Like, at least i feel bad about light spamming, these guys act salty as hell
The thing about spamming any attack or tactic is how effective it is. Orochi doesn't have a great deal of offensive options and players killed by light spam are at fault for not countering it. Unblockable attacks are just harder to counter as most of them have mix up potential. Don't be deterred by salty players, fighting games are always about learning match ups and they're not worth your time if they can't learn to defend against a repeated tactic.
You and me both. As an orochi main, I feel offended by those who JUST light spam on the character. There’s a lot you can do with Orochi to really make the hero the best it can be.
Ivan Cerecer you don’t necessarely have to let it fly. If you play orochi well then, prepare to make reads, because that is the most important part of the character. You won’t be always right, but if you train long enough you will be able to tell 90% of the time if they will feint or not. If you are on ps4 I can teach you something if you want! By the way, spam is even riskier: the more you win, the more you’ll encounter better players that will deflect or parry ur second light in the chain (yes, it can be done, I did it myself). In that case, the punish is even harsher.
Yeah I used to light spam but I use the storm rush, dodge and light attack with heavies, still feel like I'm a bad orochi player, but I don't just use lights, then again I play against ai bc pvp messes up my anger issues 😔
Haha nice orochi is my original main, Although i prefer other characters like gayder and lawdaddy. I also never knew that hurrican blast has muiltiple soft faint options so im glad that i watch your videos because its very high quality
Thank you. 🙂 Despite having a lot of soft feints hurricane blast isn't that good of a move, you introduce risk when you could have had guaranteed damage with wind gust. Still it's useful for out trading other hyper armour heroes.
@@SoI_Badguy I started in Season 4, I remember the GB on parry, that got changed in Season 5. I wonder if Orochi has that kind of damage in the Story mode, that's still locked at season 1 after all.

A bad Orochi is easy to deal with. A good one can certainly be a force to be reckoned with. They are usually very patient players and they'll likely try to make you play their game.
Orochi was robbed of getting Tozen's kick or any similar opener. That move would have placed him at mid tier. I don't blame anyone who needs to play turtle when fighting an opponent. It took a load of patience to understand his moveset and not rage quit each time I made a mistake.
Turtleing is a skill and while frustrating will always have it's place while ever heroes lack viable openers. Orochi does need an opener but honestly not sure Tozens kick is the way to go. I would sooner repurpose hurricane blast, have it removed from deflect and have be a soft feint from heavy attacks. It could keep its other properties but it would need it's damage reducing significantly and make it so it could be parried.
@@Mattman_90 His rework made him faster and not versatile. Even though most people don't have to rely on the pre crosswind slashes anymore with 32 dmg, (I'm guilty) there was so much potential to be added to his moveset. He is my main and I DO love playing him. Still even I have to admit he needs a couple of moves stolen from other heroes.
@@sigmatickx He doesn't necessarily need moves stolen from other Heroes, Orochi needs adjustments to his own kit. Let's say top heavy opener/finisher can cancel into a 20 damage hurricane blast. It still retains armour and pins the enemy, is unblockable but can't be parried and can't be soft feinted. (So it functions as a damaging bash like Glad’s Toe Stab). Now let's let Orochi cancel heavy openers, light openers and chain lights with a dodge. Immediately we have a mix up as Orochi has a undodgeable dodge attack. This also gives him external pressure for ganks. Let's fix storm rush, have each variation give hyper armour to recent interrupts. And have both side options be low damage unblockable attacks. This way there is now a mix up whether or not you dodge the unblockables and risk the top undodgeable, this also prevents opponents like Conqueror option selecting everything with all guard zone. Finally let's make light finishers enhanced for chain safety and continued pressure. Also may need to reduce the GB stun a 100ms so a side heavy works on GB but a top doesn't. (Balance).
@@Mattman_90 I agree with you on Hurricane Blast. If it's not too much, have a kick animation where the opponent moves back after the attack lol No stun or dmg of course. For storm rush, as long as the top attack stays on 17 dmg, and the speed on each side is the same, both left and right attacks can be reduced to 12 dmg if not 14 dmg. We have to wait and see if any changes will be made. Above all these are great options you gave to help out Orochi.
@@sigmatickx Wish I could take credit for it but there's a document on reddit called 'Thornbush Reworks For Honor'. It's and interesting read with some good ideas on how to rebalance some heroes. The changes suggested for Orochi would make the character more viable and also destigmatise the 'Light Spam' moniker.
I’ve been playing for honor for about 2-3 years and I’ve never really used the assassins I bought gladiator but didn’t play him so I decided to try orochi today I thought most her combos were by how people use her and I was surprised most her combos and moves contained heavys and I am making sure to not light spam at most I will normally hit 2-3 lights at a time because of her move set but overall I think she is a really fun character, I normally only played vanguards and hybrids but I might start to play assassins now.
Glad you're branching out and trying out new heroes. Orochi gets a bad reputation for Light spam, but honestly Light spam has never really been a viable tactic unless your opponent is truly incapable of adapting to it. Orochi has good heavies honestly, quick and damaging and a delightful way to punish those greedy for a light parry.
Try to get into the habit of blocking on Reaction even if you've just blocked one. It's easy to lose track of just how quick your guard will go away. The only other advice I can give is to make sure you're absolutely familiar with your moveset. Assassins tend to have dodge cancel techniques that can be incredibly helpful both offensively and defensively.
define which trouble are you having with them though? Attacking? Defending? Dodging? or Deflecting? overall the Assassin class is pretty fun, but need a LOT of practice, but it's plausible, once you got the muscle memory, it's a piece of cake. Also this class is pretty much run on enemy mistake, do not try to over confident and commit into chain that will bite you in the ass if you whiff, instead just cause confusion to your enemy since Assassin attack can be wary.
I know this video is only but something I didn't hear said was when soft feinting on orochi, you CAN be hit out of the deflect if you choose to soft feint
Welcome to the game! In the training arena, pause the game and select arena settings, under the arena tab there's a box you can tick called 'Opponent Timing Feedback'.
That's the plan. We'll see what the devs say regarding the CCU changes though and the backlash. This guide is outdated now but there's little point in making another if these changes don't stick for long.
After a deflect, pressing light attack performs the wing gust. This is a quick move that will confirm damage and is the one you should be using primarily. If you press heavy attack after a deflect you'll get the hurricane blast. This one can be dodged but does more damage, it also comes with multiple soft feint options that are covered in the video.
my problem is thta when im playing on pc sometimes i just try to do the move binds and all that but they doesnt seem to have the right output like what i expected they would for example i tried to do zephyr slashes alot but for some reason they dont register the move and end up as a normal light atack to the left/right is there any solution to this pleaseee

@@SeeDatJabrony923 Oh I've tried him in training. He's fun, good mix up potential, I would argue the hero is closer to balanced than most, ZhanHu is actually a hybrid hero.
I’m a bad Orochi I mean I spammed lights but I’m trying to practice with actual combat and combos it’s tricky because you get these bad habits from being new and fighting people who don’t know how to block or parry that you never explore what you can truly do
It can be easy to develop bad habits if you run into players that struggle to counter you but you will always meet players who can punish those habits too. Light spam is easier to deal with than ever since the CCU but the fault is always on the opponent for not adapting.
I know this video is old but if you have time I’m trying to learn new orochi, and the ccu has completely changed orochi’ a damage and his/her viable kit.
The hero tactics training section kept telling me “wrong input” when I’m doing the guardbreak cancel hurricane blast, but I have no problem with other types of softfaint like dodge or light attack
So I had a look at heroes tactics and I kept getting the wrong input too with hurricane blast into GB cancel. I can assure you that the game is wrong here and that you and I are performing the cancel correctly.
I want Cent to viable as much as the next person but I'm honestly tired of hearing about Cent. Orochi does need attention alongside a few other characters.
@@Mattman_90 Granted, Cent fans have been waiting for a promised rework for a long time and even if it was of course not actually complete, they had shown it for a while and it was pretty neat albeit with some issues so I understand them. Orochi is just such a nothing character right now sadly, you can do some fancy tricks but they're also all not exactly good.
@@Mattman_90 What'd you do to improve him, if you have any ideas? I know people have been throwing around the campaign Orochi's kick as an idea but other than that?
The kick isn't needed. First remove Hurricane Blast as a deflect option. It's not needed as it's never guarenteed. Instead we repurpose the move as a soft feint, activate Hurricane Blast by pressing GB during a top heavy opener/finisher. The move will do around 15-20 damage and will hold enemies in place much like it does now and be treated as a chain finisher. It will be vulnerable to dodge attacks. Orochi will now have neutral pressure and can assist in a gank, comes at great risk as Hurricane blast will be be fast but unfeintable. Storm rush will have 100ms of hyper armour added to top variant. Both side variants will be unblockable. This gives storm rush a mix up that's sorely needed and prevents it from being shut down by strong option selects like Conqueror’s Zone. Allow Orochi to dodge cancel recovery of light/heavy openers and chain lights. Quality of life adjustment allowing Orochi to retain defense when outnumbered and easier storm rush set up. Finisher lights and riptide strike to have enchanted property. Rewards Orochi for finishing chains and let's him keep up momentum. Also riptide strike is treated as a heavy attack when parried. These changes would fix Orochi's issues. As currently the hero has nothing to do in a gank and has literally no neutral pressure outside of fast light/zone.
Then dodge cancel after into more lights! I mean, the devs made Orochi's lights faster so using them is intended but Orochi does have some good tricks that often go ignored in favour of those light attacks.
just wanna learn how to play him properly bc ppl keep raging and toxic in texts even tough i just double top ligh and side light then feint guard break
Orochi sadly is the victim of many a nerf due to the unwilling adaptation of players facing one. There isn't really a wrong way to play Orochi, you have to familiarise yourself with the characters movements and moveset and adapt to your opponents. If your opponent can't react to lights, then use lights, if they are adept at parrying, then mix it up and throw in a heavy. Orochi benefits from completing your chain so you can use your dodge cancels. I recommend KyruKun on TH-cam. Great player with a fantastic understanding of the character, he will be able to help you through his content. :)
Well if you haven't used Orochi before and you're interested, I would suggest trying the character out, maybe get to rep 1 and see if you enjoy using them. Even if you don't like playing as them, learning how they fight can help you fight them in the future.
It depends on what kind of attack you are deflecting. A top attack gives you the full amount of deflect frames to work with meaning you have a 200ms window before the attack hits you to deflect it. For side attacks, that window is about 66ms, so to deflect you have to dodge at the last moment.
Conqueror isn't OP but certainly powerful in 1v1. Unless stated in movesets or during certain punishes such as ganks/out of stamina, attacks don't confirm other attacks. Conqueror does have an infinite chain but even if one strike hits you, the follow ups are not confirmed and can be blocked/parried/deflected.
RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB RB and finally RT. As a PK main, Orochi is painful, but I like the Challenge, especially against good Orochi players
A zone attack is performed by pressing light attack and heavy attack at the same time. In Orochi’s case it can only be done from neutral, which is to say can't be used as a chain starter or mid chain.

There's probably a lot of people with than mentality with numerous heroes. The ironic part is that light spam is easily punished at high level play and those players will soon find out Orochi is not a strongly designed hero.
Not exactly good Orochi advice. I understand that people dislike fighting Orochi's because of the triple light chain, but that has its place in the moveset and relying only on that is a one way ticket to being parried and killed.
I know your probably bad but only 2 lights are guaranteed in the triple chain you can easily back step out of being spammed, me personally I love light spammers I block until they're just about oos parry the last light and punish repeat that the rest of the fight and you get some creative hate mail. 🤷🏼♂️

Me personally, I can't play Shinobi worth shit. alot of people rip on him because he isn't the most viable out of the whole rosters, just like orochi he's better off in 1v1 or 2v2, I've ran into Shinobis that absolutely destroy me and I've made a few rage quit in ranked duels not too many Shinobis I've ran into actually know how to play him. In my honest opinion all characters are good it all comes down to your play style obviously some are easier to learn then others have way bigger advantages but again it all depends on the individual and how they play. That being said I can't really tell you what to do with a Shinobi when facing Aramusha or Valkyrie because I'm shit with him I can tell you not to go for ranged guard breaks or attacks because everytime a Shinobi throws one at me he ends up getting spanked by a parry or guard break counter. Me personally when I first started I just spent an hour a day watching montages from other characters I struggled against, I know that doesn't sound like the best advice but once you learn a characters kit you know what works and what doesn't for each individual hero so you can almost predict 70% of the time what they're going to do, predictions go alot further in this game then reactions, it's easy to avoid what you know is getting thrown at you compared to what you don't. It'll all get easier man took me a couple months to get decent enough to actually start enjoying the game.
It would certainly be as easy hero to beat if that's all Orochi could do! Still Orochi has a bad reputation for repeated light attacks and they only carry the hero so far. The kit is more diverse than given credit but without viable openers Orochi will probably always be stuck with this label.
Ah, now I feel like a douchebag. I'm sorry, didn't even occur to me when I recorded that. For Honor's story mode doesn't reflect actual multiplayer gameplay mechanics but it is worth going through at least once. Truly I am sorry if I've ruined that experience for you.
The guide covers the basics and more advanced players can appreciate attack speeds and maximum punishes along side feat cooldowns and explanations. People learn at different rates and my guides are thorough to make sure everyone can understand and learn from them, whether it's a little or a lot.
Light attack spam is down to the player not the character, it's also easily countered if you're aware your opponent is heavily relying on light attacks.
@@i_ma1n_smoke-_-681 I can see I won't be able to change your opinions regarding Orochi. Might I suggest playing the character instead, might give you a little more insight into the characters moveset and flaws.
if your guard is on the side when you throw, you can immediately unlock to still get the two top heavies that you would normaly get when in top guard, confirming the 70 damage oos punish
also, the tier 2 feat kunai confirms a zone for 35 damage in total.
So I just tested this and you are correct this does indeed work! However if you unlock and perform two heavies you cannot dodge cancel the recovery. Still this could be the difference between a win and a loss so I will pin this comment for all to see. 👍
Not sure about the Kunai, Zone combo, I'll check that and get back to you.
@@Mattman_90 Don't want to be annoying with all of these replies but you saying that made me remember the time where some poor guy did a forward Dodge into me whilst I was about to use shooting stars, and ate 60 damage, which also killed him.

I’m so bad with warden it’s laughable, 46 reps overall, hito main and I can’t get a kill with warden, which is frustrating cause he looks so good high level :(
Ew
I am a warden main too but I’m trying to learn Orochi
Step one light attack
Step two (optional) literally anything else
Step Three : Dodge cancel chain finishers.
*Sigh* Orochi needs more in the kit.
@@Mattman_90 well said
The best way to win in this game is light spam and I hate it.
But its fun to light spam
@@theghostoftsushima I recommend you watch my latest video. Light spam isn't as strong as you might think.
Great video buddy, I’m surprised I didn’t see the BP vs orochi match we had. It was pretty one sided 😅

Well I may have forgetten to record that clip. 😅
Though you're not wrong in avoiding Hurricane Blast, it's only real use is to out trade your opponent when you think they will carry on attacking you, the mix up it provides either leads back into Wind Gust or into a GB which grants you the same damage, unfortunately the soft feints really don't help the move.
Great video, before I had to rely on heavy and light spamming with dodging to rely on winning, now I can do better and be a good orochi player
Thank you. 🙂 Glad you found the video helpful. Practice and adaptation are your best friends in this game.

Ultimately this is a game and you should try to enjoy it the best you can. Playing more competitively will come in time and you'll enjoy tougher fights. Before long you'll be making Orochi dominance montages. 👍

I love how players blame me of light spamming which ironically, they also spam their unblockeables
Like, at least i feel bad about light spamming, these guys act salty as hell
The thing about spamming any attack or tactic is how effective it is. Orochi doesn't have a great deal of offensive options and players killed by light spam are at fault for not countering it.
Unblockable attacks are just harder to counter as most of them have mix up potential. Don't be deterred by salty players, fighting games are always about learning match ups and they're not worth your time if they can't learn to defend against a repeated tactic.
You and me both. As an orochi main, I feel offended by those who JUST light spam on the character. There’s a lot you can do with Orochi to really make the hero the best it can be.
@@echojaxx8550 maybe you right, but i wont risk getting parried by attempting a Heavy Attack

@@Mattman_90
His rework made him faster and not versatile.
(Balance).
@@Mattman_90
I agree with you on Hurricane Blast. If it's not too much, have a kick animation where the opponent moves back after the attack lol
No stun or dmg of course.

Once you deflect how do you do that stab?
After a deflect, pressing light attack performs the wing gust. This is a quick move that will confirm damage and is the one you should be using primarily.

So I had a look at heroes tactics and I kept getting the wrong input too with hurricane blast into GB cancel. I can assure you that the game is wrong here and that you and I are performing the cancel correctly.
I know people have been waiting for that Cent rework but please give my boy some attention, Ubisoft
@@JDT979 Agreed regarding Cent. Orochi's problem is that he's built to react but has no way to force reactions. Great counter attacks, no bait.
Mighty launch a guide of orochi
Me:lol just light followed by a light and a light
Then dodge cancel after into more lights! I mean, the devs made Orochi's lights faster so using them is intended but Orochi does have some good tricks that often go ignored in favour of those light attacks.
Yeah
Is this guide still up to date, or were there changes in Orochi?
Orochi has received a few changes since this was made. How to perform the moves are the same but damage and attack properties have been altered.

When the game first came out i played orichi fotr the first year and only did heavy because i tghot light attacks where useless
I never played the game until season 4. Light attacks were a little more useful by then.
@@Mattman_90 lmao
How do you turn on that timer for deflects?
In the training arena, pause the game and select arena settings, under the arena tab there's a box you can tick called 'Opponent Timing Feedback'.
Unless I find out people are bad at the game, I let them do the openers since orochi can dodge pretty easily and has combos with the dodges
Ive started orochi as my main but the health is really low,do you have any tips for dodging?
Try to identify what attacks your opponents cannot feint/cancel. Dodging and deflecting them is the best way to start out.
How can i activate that bar for the heavy parry that u got?

Orochi sadly is the victim of many a nerf due to the unwilling adaptation of players facing one. There isn't really a wrong way to play Orochi, you have to familiarise yourself with the characters movements and moveset and adapt to your opponents. If your opponent can't react to lights, then use lights, if they are adept at parrying, then mix it up and throw in a heavy. Orochi benefits from completing your chain so you can use your dodge cancels. I recommend KyruKun on TH-cam. Great player with a fantastic understanding of the character, he will be able to help you through his content. :)
Should I use orochi?
Well if you haven't used Orochi before and you're interested, I would suggest trying the character out, maybe get to rep 1 and see if you enjoy using them. Even if you don't like playing as them, learning how they fight can help you fight them in the future.
MightyMattman90 thankyou!
Worth the wait
Thank you. 🙂
I can't do Wind Gust or Hurricane Blast cause I don't know "when" I have to dodge.
It depends on what kind of attack you are deflecting. A top attack gives you the full amount of deflect frames to work with meaning you have a 200ms window before the attack hits you to deflect it. For side attacks, that window is about 66ms, so to deflect you have to dodge at the last moment.
how is there a meter on your block to time parry 9:20
In the training arena, pause the game and select arena settings, under the arena tab there's a box you can tick called 'Opponent Timing Feedback'.
So its only in training
@@Wxyvs- Correct, could be a little distracting or unfair if usable in multiplayer.

Step 1: Light attack
Step 2: Repeat step 1
And there you go, any questions comments concerns?
I have a question. What if I'm parried?
@@Mattman_90 then kiss your ass goodbye
Why is conquer so op if he might attacks you then your dead if he does it without stopping, you cant block when he starts doing it
Conqueror isn't OP but certainly powerful in 1v1. Unless stated in movesets or during certain punishes such as ganks/out of stamina, attacks don't confirm other attacks. Conqueror does have an infinite chain but even if one strike hits you, the follow ups are not confirmed and can be blocked/parried/deflected.

@@Mattman_90 I'm stupid have not played in while I ment how to zone attack
@@beans6449 Not to worry. A zone attack is performed by pressing light attack and heavy attack at the same time.
Thought I was a decent Orochi and I was lowkey sd when I got clapped in pvp, I don't like pvp but it seems no one plays pve
Can someone explain me how to do the zone attack
A zone attack is performed by pressing light attack and heavy attack at the same time. In Orochi’s case it can only be done from neutral, which is to say can't be used as a chain starter or mid chain.
MightyMattman90 man i started playing for honor like 2 days ago so this is all complicated but thx anyway😂

MightyMattman90 ye one more thing😂? Who is the strongest like hero of there class i find valkyrie pretty damn op. Sorry for bothering you
@@andrijalabudovic9963 You aren't bothering me. 🙂
Strongest is very subjective and it differs between scenario, game mode etc.
Lawbringer is very strong defensively. Shaman is a very strong Xv1 hero (Ganker).
Valkyrie has some good options, very damaging deflect but I would say she's good but not great.
My brother says that Orochi is bad and I should play the Mace guy but he saw me in a Dominion match get multiple kills and executions without dying once
I must tell you smoke bomb doesn't keep an execution from happening due to a setting in the menu
Rather than you can't lock into to opponents in your opponents smoke, so your heavies are out of lock which won't let you trigger an execution on a kill. Interestingly though, what is the setting?
@@Mattman_90 it's the execution setting like you can meet requirements on being locked or not locked on like you do a running attack and you can execute off of that
@@jaredhudson3202 That's...a really poorly designed setting if it can interfere with feats. I know smoke bomb is strong but that sounds like a big design oversight. Thank you for telling me, honestly didn't know or maybe just glossed over it ages ago.

The deflect itself or the follow up?
i main the berserker, but damn this hero is way better
Competitively no... however Orochi is a fun hero and stylish too. I play both but scarcely.
@@Mattman_90 It kinda depends on the player, because Berserker has some unblockable combos that are kinda spammy, same for the orochi but orochi is more quick, if you like the faster play orochi is better but berserker is really simple assassin like the peacekeeper so he is suitable for newer players, but can be deadly if used by someone who plays good
@@schollym Berserker is actually technically faster as chain lights and lights after feints are 400ms with the exception being the top light that's 600ms unless used after a feint becomes 500ms.
Zerk can also trade and has a higher skill ceiling than that of Orochi. Their only real similarity is having undodgeable side dodge attacks. Berserker as a character is much more effective than Orochi.

@@clarizion5726 Deflecting is a matter of timing except for top attacks and undodgeable attacks as your dodge i frames are ignored. For side deflects you need to be dodging at the last moment you can. From a numbers perspective, your deflect has 66ms of active frames before your dodge i frames take priority, this is why undodgeable attacks are easy to deflect and why for normal side attacks you need to wait for the last moment. People who think their good who don’t watch this are most likely just light spammer
There's probably a lot of people with than mentality with numerous heroes. The ironic part is that light spam is easily punished at high level play and those players will soon find out Orochi is not a strongly designed hero.
Press R1 then Press R1 again continue
Not exactly good Orochi advice. I understand that people dislike fighting Orochi's because of the triple light chain, but that has its place in the moveset and relying only on that is a one way ticket to being parried and killed.
I know your probably bad but only 2 lights are guaranteed in the triple chain you can easily back step out of being spammed, me personally I love light spammers I block until they're just about oos parry the last light and punish repeat that the rest of the fight and you get some creative hate mail. 🤷🏼♂️
Nick Crouse-Bower it’s funny you said that because I did exactly what you’re talking about and the kid gave me hate mail like wth if you don’t like me blocking do anything else besides light spam
Yea I’m pretty bad I got the game a week ago but ya know I’m getting less bad
And I’m not even saying they’re hard but geez they’re so annoying I’ve come across dozens of them now and only two have pressed a button other than R1
And they’re always the type of people to back stab you in a 2v2 but then say “Wow wow wow” when you ledge em
Also they’re weebs
Anyway I got em figured out pretty much at least the light spammers but I still hate playing them
Idk how to deal with Arashuma and Valkyrie spamming her light light good break
I play Shinobi and I pretty ok with him I think tell me if that’s a scummy character idk
@@wv4776 W V it gets better when you get matched up with higher reps that know their characters kit enough to not just smash light attacks but then the hate mail starts targetting your whole family and unborn children 🤷🏼♂️.
Orochi guide Rb,Rb,Rb. Repeat
It would certainly be as easy hero to beat if that's all Orochi could do! Still Orochi has a bad reputation for repeated light attacks and they only carry the hero so far. The kit is more diverse than given credit but without viable openers Orochi will probably always be stuck with this label.
Massive fucking story spoiler right at the start man now I dint even wanna finish it
