Lindsay, I saw your work for the first time last night and you brought us through a rollercoaster of emotions with your acting and your beautiful and potent voice. Such an espectacular experience and your technicality is just fantastic. Thanks for doing what you do and the fantastic show ❤️ I'm a fan now.
Honestly so encouraging to see a Broadway performer struggle with some of the same things I struggle with in my voice lessons. Sometimes it seems like the pros always sing everything perfectly, which is just not possible because our bodies are our instruments. Some tips in here I will definitely take away!
@@ddiallo4478 I think her name was Harmony. She was only in 2 episodes. Look up Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do, Glee cast version on TH-cam and you'll see her perform :)
I would love to see one of these lesson videos with a complete beginner! Like someone who hasn’t taken voice lessons before and you start with them from the ground up. I volunteer as a tribute! Love all your videos! ♥️♥️♥️
Several things that I want to say less than a minute into this video. I have vocal baggage and I’m thankful that you gave me the vocab to understand that it’s really a thing. Two, the first time I heard Lindsay sing was on the Glee Project! I watched it religiously when it was going on. And lastly, I’m trying to work through some of my vocal fears and performance anxiety and your videos have been helpful. I really just need to bite the bullet and take vocal lessons but as a 23 yr old, who doesn’t sing anywhere but her shower, it doesn’t make fiscal sense.
You can improve without voice lessons! Lots of resources online. First step, awareness! Call out that vocal baggage and unpack whats going on there. Second step, sing for the joy of singing. It's a radical act of self love to sing for no one but yourself. Much love to you!
I love, LOVE that you talked about vocal baggage and dealing with our own mental blocks and past vocal health issues. Growing up I was always a singer, but my parents never let me take lessons. I started singing more and doing community theatre in high school and my voice was not used to it so I had some extra scratchiness. My mom told me “your voice just doesn’t naturally have stamina.” This stuck with me for YEARS. I was always scared of singing too much, getting nodes, and ruining my voice forever. But now that I’m an adult, I started taking lessons and my voice is just fine and I have great stamina! That being said, I am still working through my fear and letting go of my vocal anxiety. Thanks for talking about this and helping me and others feel seen and validated. ♥️♥️♥️
I am so happy to hear you are singing more! Vocal baggage is real - I mean, singing is so vulnerable! Of course we are going to remember the things that were said to us of even the things we have said to ourselves. Unpack that fear and enjoy the act of singing again! You deserve it!
I came back to this video after listening to lindsay's new audios now that broadway's back and it's so fun to see the improvement after hannah's classes! we can clearly notice that she's following hannah's tips, the "Everyone" note is amazing!
Vocal baggage is an amazing term! I have sung my entire life. Three choirs plus voice lessons once a week in high school. Musical theater etc. I go to college am in the choir, the director turns out to be a tool. I don’t sing with a choir or anything, except to my animals for ten + years. Quarantine happens. In June I reconnected with my high school voice teacher. I seriously didn’t think I could sing anymore. Then doing scales I’m hitting notes in the coloratura zone. I’m constantly angry that I can’t be back to where i was 15 years ago, and that a g4 exists but I’m getting back in the groove. Very slowly.

I glad hearing Lindsay Pearce singing she has one of the Best Voices from 2012 i remember When she was in The Glee Projects and then show up in 2 episodes of Glee and may my day a couple of weeks ago that she was the New Elphaba just enjoy heard voice again after so many years greeting from Mexico
It is so nice seeing the two of your in this video together. Lindsay started at the Junior College I went to after I left so I never got to really know her, but I know exactly what voice teacher and ENT (her husband) she is talking about. They were and are both wonderful people who have helped so many students with issues they have faced. Good people
I’m from the same town as Lindsay...so strangely, I’m pretty sure I know who the teacher she’s referring to as I took lessons from the same person for a while myself.
That was so awesome to watch. I have a bunch of vocal baggage from 16 years ago (the last time I had training) and even just seeing you teach and explain things like this helped me to start overcoming those blocks. I've never really been able to connect to my head voice, and as a bass singer I just thought It was a limit to my voice - either deep bass/chest voice or whispy falsetto. Just seeing your teaching style, how you use tools, techniques and visualisation makes me believe that actually I can do anything with practice. I'm gonna go find my head voice, I feel inspired :) Thank you!
I'm seeing her on re-opening night and I cannot even begin to express how excited I am to see her live! And just so glad the show (and Broadway) will be back in general!!
Oh my goodnesssss I would love to see more of your lessons!! I can already tell that these larynx and vowel modifications are going to be game changers for my mix 🤩
When she hit a note that felt so much better after your coaching and she smiled and pointed at you. I know that had to make you feel good rewatching it.
Your opening comments hit me so hard. I find I can sing fine 'hiding in a group' or alone. As soon as I know someone is listening to /me/ my throat closes up, hands shake, body goes cold. I tried going to a teacher, but found the pressure of the fear of 'letting her down' made me quit after a couple of months. I really want to try to get into singing lessons again but after years of chronic allergies/sore throat...fear trying!
I love your positive approach to vocal teaching and I love how you just radiate positivity. I literally could not stop smiling throughout this entire video
It’s crazy seeing how hardcore she was on glee and now seeing her talk about not singing for a whole year after losing her voice. Somehow it makes me feel better to know that someone with a near perfect voice has their struggles too, and that I’ll get there eventually😅
do you think you'll ever react to kpop artists? i just think its interesting how different their methods are to what we're used to from western artists and i've always wondered about the sustainability or comfort of those sounds. i think it would be cool to see what you have to say about that!
Hi, could you please react to some of Naya Rivera's work? Now she's gone, very sadly, it would help shed some light upon just how talented she was. Thanks for reading if you do read this 🙂
I love your work as a vocal coach it’s absolutely exceptional seeing the difference with the notes you give! Can you please react to danna Paola in the Mexican production of wicked shes absolutely amazing!
I love your videos! It’s so cool to watch learning in the moment and see your tips help singers right away! I would love to see you work with Renee Rapp!
I hurt my voice four years ago playing the role of Adam/Noah in The Children of Eden. Then I had a nasty fight with bronchitis this year. I've learned so much watching this lesson. Thank you for sharing!
Adam/Noah is a hard role bro. I was Adam/Noah at a Summer Camp. My vocal cords were so tired bro! I rested so much after rehearsals and luckily, I nailed it opening night!
I loved watching this❤️ Please react to Ben Platt singing ‘River’ on The Politician, it’s just such an incredibly emotional and outstanding performance☺️

Hey, Hannah! Could you please react to The Last Five Years (The movie which stars Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick)? The songs are so good, but there is a lot to talk about, because it is challenging considering it is Jason Robert Brown. Another good video to react to would be Poker Face with Taylor Louderman and Ashley Park from Mean Girls. It's so funny and has lots of great harmonies! Thanks for your videos! You are incredible!
can you please react to Why Don't We - Grey (Official Live Music Video) if you haven't already? they are an extremely talented band and their harmonies are heavenly! they have so many different songs that are all different kinds of genres! you should definitely check them out!
It’s always such a pleasure to spend time with you, Hannah. You’re a dream 💛✨🙏🏻
Love you to bits Lindsay!
Omg, Lindsay, I adored you on Glee Project and am beyond thrilled to hear about your success since then! 🙌🏼 BOTH of you ladies are incredible!

really appreciate Lindsay's vulnerability - it takes guts to learn in front of others... also she's fabulous

Also loved her in bare so much! An amazing ivy!
I can’t believe the biggest names in Broadway do the same exercises as the normal people 😅 I know it makes sense but it seems so strange!
haha yes! No perfect voices here. Exercises are for all voices!
I thought the EXACT SAME THING!! it just seems crazy.
Who else would die to be Friends with Hannah
Don’t die! Hi!! 👋🏻❤️
