The bare feet come from when she was 6 years old. She wrote and published a story about it, "Between Two Hearts." Which made her Norway's youngest author. When at 6 she was traveling in the Middle East (Grandma Mery is Iranian and a prodigy in her own right) Angelina came across a homeless 6-year-old girl weighing people for money. They talked about their dreams, the girl wants to be a doctor, Angelina obviously a famous singer. Angelina was wearing her favorite shoes, she took them off and gave them to the girl and promised to never wear shoes when she performs until there's no more homeless kids. Her winnings from NGT, she donated to charity. By the time she was 12, she help raised over $21 million Euro for charities.

Now that’s how you actually step up to what you believe it vs cowardly disrespecting others, but taking on no sacrifice (like kneeling for the American anthem as you make millions of dollars for yourself playing a stupid ball game). What a wonderful person.

I have been hooked on Angelina's music for over 6 years now & I have listened to her every day since then. I've never seen anything like her before & I've been listening to popular music since the 60's. She has a mesmerizing, calming effect on me that I have never experienced from any other singer. She is a true "Vocal Artist" unlike many so called artists today that require autotune or pitch correction as well as other production wizardry to sound good.. All of her fans say she is better live than in studio productions & I am one of them. Great reaction from you guys, I liked & subed for more Angelina reactions. She is something else!!!

Not bad for a 9 year old. Take a fifties classic song by Screaming Jay Hawkins, arrange the music and then sing like a 40 year old jazz singer. This girl is a gift to us all. Welcome to Angelina's world.

Angelina was nine when the "spell on you" video was made, and she not only sang it, she also arranged it. The sheet that the band leader is perusing at the beginning of the video is Angelina's notes on the arrangement. Her understanding of music composition and arrangement at this age is astounding.

For I Put A Spell On You - Angelina was 9 years old - Her nationality is Norwegian but is fluent in English even at this age - This song was not arranged for her - she wrote the vocal arrangement based on listening to the original Screamin' Jay Hawkins version and communicated to the band how she wanted it to be played - in fact, at the beginning of the video you see Angelina writing down some last-minute changes and it is read by the bandleader. You also notice that her own handwritten notes are on the music stand in front of her as she sings. For more insight into how Angelina works, here is a rehearsal video with some of the same band members at the same age (9 yrs old) - You will see that she is aware of what each musician is doing and communicates to them what she wants to do. The first thing she says is that she wants to start, followed by her saying she wants to start over, later she tells the pianist that the key is too low and that she wants to raise it a half-tone, then at the end of the song she changes the ending on the fly. The spoken language is Norwegian: th-cam.com/video/80f3t3dmBbk/w-d-xo.html

Thank you guys she had just turned 9yrs old here this is her own arrangement after listening to Screaming J Hawkins original , and it was her own choice no one choses her songs, she is self taught her voice is so unique her family and music teachers agree not to mess with what she was doing naturally she may of had guidance for vocal heath but she is so advanced she has worked everything out for herself . Frank Sinatra's "My way" belongs to her now it was her encore at her recent concert in LA she is totally unique she sings for love not to impress her art comes first she will demote herself to achieve her vision for a song she is a giant talent with an even greater heart this girl is love embodied and her loyal legions angels adore her as she does with us.💜👣😇

For everyone who doesn't know yet:
Not only did Angelina get the golden buzzer from judge Heidi Klum, but she also received huge praise from the remaining members of the legendary Queen. Queen were delighted with Angelina's arrengement and shared it on Twitter with the words "WOW, what a rendition" (three years later they repeated their praise on TT in March 27th 2023 with the words "absolutely killed it".) What was unfortunately not to be seen here, all four judges came on stage to congratulate Angelina (very rarely). 👣💯 *AJ* 💯👣
BTW, Angelina released her version of Bohemian Rhapsody with permission from Queen on January 24th, 2020 under her own label ANGELINA JORDAN INC. shortly after Angelina celebrated her 14th birthday. (There are now over 19.5 million streams on Spotify alone) 🤗🤗

A barefoot princess with a hypnotic voice.
She was only 9 years old when she performed this song. It is her tribute to Screamin' Jay Hawkins, an American singer/songwriter. He wrote and performed it in 1956 and Angelina based her performance on the original, although she did make some subtle alterations to both lyrics and melody. As you continue your journey of discovering Angelina, you will come to realise that she does her own arrangements of most of the cover songs she sings. The differences may not be immediately discernible on first listening to them, but they are there. There may be a subtle change in tempo or tone, or more inflexion on some words, or a phrase may differ in pitch from the original. The amount of control that Angelina has over her voice cannot be measured. She never hurries a song. She sings in such a way that the emotions in the lyrics are felt by the listener. In this video did you notice:Angelina finishing some notes and handing them to the pianist, who smiled as he read them? They were her wishes (instructions) to the band how she wished therm to play the music. In the band, she was called a boss.

The Norwegian singer, Angelina Jordan is a young legend, now living in LA. (curent 18 Years old ). She is an elegant artist for the big occasions. Which artist has sung for the Nobel Peace Prize twice, and she sings FIFA's official song before the upcoming World Cup. She has sung for 40,000 in concert with Nora Jones. She has helped to collect 21 million for children in need. Performed for many countries' heads of state on many big occasions. Concert in Las Vegas, with a number of other live concerts. Signed record deal with "Republic Records" at only 14 years old. The list is almost endless ... She is so talented that no one can ignore her, and together with Rebpublic Records, she actually sets the pace herself to total worldfame . Although she herself is an 18-year-old young lady, her taste in music is quality, and not just high bass in the stomach. When the next James Bond film is to be made, who do you think is in the spotlight for a possible theme song? The list of what Angelina has already been involved in is already so extensive that only a deep dive into her performances has to be searched online by yourself. It is too extreme to almost believe!
All important people in the music industry know who she is and what she is good at on big occasions. I don't think anyone has the guts to suggest to her a fast track that doesn't suit her. Her integrity is too strong for that! - The remaining members of Queen allowed her to copyright her arrangement of Bohemian Rhapsody!

Today (18 years old) Angelina Jordan is no longer a talent, but a world-class singer!

No, she does understand what she’s singing. On both of the songs you heard today, Angelina did the arrangement herself. She inhabits whatever genre she’s singing, and she makes you understand the lyrics in a way you didn’t before-like Bohemian Rhapsody.
Angelina is easily the best popular singer I’ve ever heard, and I’ve been listening to music since the 50’s. No gimmicks, no auto tune, no processing-a voice for the ages, and the musical wisdom that seems impossible, but is there is on dozens and dozens of her performances from age 7 to now at 18.

"No, she does understand what she's singing". I think you're misunderstanding. Please listen more closely to what they're saying. AJ at 9 doesn't understand what feeling angsty about lust feels like, and you're not going to convince anyone she does. Please listen more closely to what they're actually saying.

    • @johnvasi
      @johnvasi 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +16

@@Biomirth There are many levels of understanding for a song like this. You’ve chosen a level of physical love that a nine year old could not have experienced yet-and used that to say she doesn’t understand what she’s singing. I think that’s completely wrong. Do you reject her interpretation of If I Were a Boy? How about Bohemian Rhapsody? She’s obviously not experienced any of those those feelings firsthand. My point is that there are many reactors and commenters who believe that someone must have personally experienced an attitude or feeling to sing about it legitimately. That’s completely untrue, and Angelina is a great example, but there are countless other singers who can as well.

@@Biomirth I think we’ve reached an impasse here. I listened to this video again from start to finish. I understand exactly the point in their conversation you’re addressing. I still feel the way I did initially. Evoking feelings of physical or carnal love is one way to interpret these lyrics (although the lyrics themselves don’t do that explicitly), but a singer can perform the song as convincingly and authentically at other levels. We just watched Angelina do that.

How on earth does Angelina Jordan, at just thirteen, on AGT's grand stage, arrange and perform "Bohemian Rhapsody," In a mere two minutes and fifteen seconds, creating a masterpiece so profound, that leaves the theater gasping for air, and rising in a standing ovation?
With a voice that transcends her years, she reimagines the iconic tune, stripping it down to its soulful core, each note a testament to her genius, her arrangement, a blend of heart and skill, crafted with an artist's touch, transforming the familiar into the extraordinary.
In those brief moments, she captures the essence of Freddie's timeless song, infusing it with her unique flair, her performance, a symphony of emotion, a journey through the highs and lows, leaving the audience breathless, in awe of her prodigious talent.
Angelina Jordan, a prodigy, with a gift that can't be taught, her rendition, a testament to her artistry, a moment etched in the annals of AGT, a performance that will be remembered, as a shining example of her extraordinary ability, to turn a classic into a masterpiece.

Born Angelina Jordan Astar on January 10, 2006 in Oslo, Norway to her Norwegian mother, Sara Astar and her Swedish father, Gerry Christian Slattman.
Angelina started singing around 18 months of age, after listening to Whitney Houston on TH-cam. She quickly became obsessed with listening to music videos and her maternal grandmother, Mery Zamani got Angelina interested in classic jazz.
Mery Zamani is Iranian and was a prodigy as an artist and poet while growing up in Iran. Angelina attended the Oslo Waldorf School and participated in the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program, where starting around age 4, she had training in music but no vocal training. Her teachers were smart enough to not attempt to change what she was doing vocally. More recently she along with her grandmother have designed and made the clothing she wears on stage.
Why Angelina always performs barefoot At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money. Angelina took off her shoes so as to not get the scale dirty and stepped on the scale many times to make the girl feel better. Angelina befriends the girl who was not wearing shoes and has scars on her feet, and learns she is an orphan. The orphan girl tells Angelina how beautiful she thinks her shoes are. Angelina says her shoes don’t fit her well and she wants to give her shoes to the orphan girl who thanks Angelina for giving her the shoes. Angelina asked the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and the girl replied, “I want to become a doctor, but that will never happen since I have no parents and I have siblings so I have to do whatever is necessary for us to survive.” Angelina told the girl to never give up on her dreams. The poor girl asked Angelina what she wanted to be when she grew up and Angelina replied that she wanted to sing for the whole world. The poor girl said she would pray every day so Angelina’s dream would come true. Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate.
At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website, angelinajordanofficial Angelina, at age 6 and 7, did record a few songs in a recording studio at her school, most notably “I Who Have Nothing”, a truly remarkable performance for a 7 year old. At age 7, Angelina’s audition on Norway’s Got Talent, was a cover of Billie Holiday’s “Gloomy Sunday”, a song which was banned by a number of European countries during World War II because authorities worried the song would increase the suicide rate. Truly bizarre that this is the song to launch the career of a child musical prodigy. One of the judges on NGT cried. Angelina had turned 8 years old for her next performance on NGT, covering Billie Holiday’s “I’m a Fool to Want You” singing acapella which was required by NGT unless the singer also played an instrument while singing. This was the Judge’s cut round of the competition and was not performed in front of an audience. In the Semi Final round of NGT, Angelina sang “Bang Bang” which was written by Sonny Bono and was first performed by his wife Cher but is best known sung by Nancy Sinatra. The improvement in each performance is incredible even though there were only a couple months between them. In the Finals, Angelina did a cover of George Gershwin’s, “Summertime” and won the contest, capturing 46% of the votes from the ten finalists. When asked what she would like to do with the prize money she won (500,000 kroner or about $80,000), Angelina replied, “I want to give it to the poor children”. Angelina had become a star in her native Norway and her videos on TH-cam went viral. She gave a few concerts during the summer of 2014 while 8 years old. In December 2014, Angelina realized a life-long desire to sing at the Save the Children's Peace Prize Celebration which is part of the Noble Peace Prize celebration. Angelina’s family took her to United States, Brazil, Germany, France, United Kingdom, Russia, South Korea, Singapore among other corners of Earth, to perform for heads of state and to help raise money for charity. All before Angelina turned 14. At age 9, Angelina recorded a music video covering the 1956 Jay Hawkin’s classic, “I Put a Spell On You”. The video begins by showing Angelina writing her “wishes” for how she wants to perform the song. Angelina has always created her own arrangements for her cover songs. At age 10 and just a week before her 11th birthday, Angelina recorded a demo of “I’m Still Holding Out for You”. Her family never pursued having that recording officially released but someone leaked it on a TH-cam video. Thankfully, everyone involved with that song is now ok with the leaked version. Many angels (fans) believe this is one of Angelina’s best performances. When Angelina was 11, she performed a number of concerts in Norway with a jazz/rock band. Those concerts included up to 14 songs, each remarkably performed. Angelina seems to be at her best when on stage, never nervous, only 100% confident. Also at age 11, Angelina recorded her “It’s Magic” album which has, at times, been in the top 10 best selling jazz albums. On June 27, 2018, at age 12, Jordan performed Frank Sinatra “Fly Me to the Moon” for Quincy Jones in The O2 Arena in London. She has said that was the high point of her young career which was already in it’s 6th year. During 2018, Angelina lost her paternal grandfather, her friend Avicii and one of her idols, Aretha Franklin. She did a moving tribute for each. In 2019, Angelina accepted an invitation to compete in the 2nd season of America’s Got Talent (AGT), The Champions. She had, since age 3, wanted to perform for Simon Cowell and she earned his praise with her genius arrangement of “Bohemian Rhapsody”. The surviving members of Queen loved it so much they put a link to it on their Twitter. Angelina was eliminated after covering Elton John’s “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road”. Angelina’s family refused to sign any agreement with AGT. Angelina, before age 14, had covered more than 130 songs from 80 different artists, spanning at least 8 genres, all of which are available on TH-cam. Angelina has always made changes to each song she covers and often her version is preferred over the original. On TH-cam, search on The Complete Works of Angelina Jordan as Rusty Shackleford has put all songs in one file and has a complete playlist in the description of that video. The pandemic hit shortly after her performances on AGT and likely caused a change of plans by her family, most notably her Uncle Michael who is her manager. Her family agreed to a contract with Republic Records in August 2020. Republic Records declared Angelina Jordan their highest priority new artist. Reportedly her family requested Republic to allow her as normal a childhood as possible and therefore have yet to fully promote her. During the pandemic, Angelina was often seen buying meals for the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. In November 2020, Angelina released “Million Miles” which she wrote after the passing of her beloved maternal grandfather. She dedicated the song to anyone who has ever lost a loved one. Angelina had previously released, 3 other original songs: “What is Life”, “Oslo” and “Shield” In April 2021, her original “7th Heaven” was released. A jazzy, danceable, inspiring song. Angelina has posted numerous short performances on Tik Tok and Instagram. Angelina had concerts in Norway in July 2022. In December 2022, Angelina performed at the Asian American Awards in Los Angeles. On 2/27/23, Angelina performed at the FIFA Awards ceremony in Paris, France, with a viewing audience in the millions. On May 5th, 2023, Angelina released her original "Love Don't Let Me Go". On July 23th she released her orginal EP “Old Enough”.
Angelina perform Concert at the Music Hall in Portsmouth New Hampshire on Sept 22nd, 2023. On 10/27/23 she released her new orginal singiel “Our Time”. In November 2023, she was presented as a debutante at Le Bal des débutantes in Paris. On 12/08/23 she released new Marry Christmas EP “Driving Home for Christmas”. On 12/10/23 she sing in Oslo at the Nobel Peace Prize Celebration - Unchained Melody tribute to 2023 Nobel Peace Prize laureate Iranian human rights activist Narges Mohammadi. On february 29, 2024 she had two concerts in Las Vegas, Nevada,on the Elvis stage.
On May 16, 2024, the first fruits of Angelina's cooperation with Tobi Gad were released. This German composer and record producer based in Los Angeles invited Angeline to an intimate concert at the Hotel Cafe JESSE & FRIENDS, the same one where Adel sang and was discovered. Tobi then took Angelina to London, where she performed His song If I Were A Boy at the London Palladium, and they recorded two versions of the song, Live At Saint James Church, and another studio version illustrated with a film from the streets of London. It seems that Tobi has started cooperation with Angelina and there are several joint songs in the pipeline. At the May concert in Los Angeles, one of them was presented: BAD VALENTINE.
Angelina perform Concert at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, CA on Sept. 20th, 2024. On the same day she released her new orginal singiel in cooperation with Tobi Gad Bad Valentine.

Angelina is 9 years old in I put a spelling you. Saying that she does not understand what she is singing may be incorrect. Angelina right from the start in childhood has been able to express and elicit emotion from adult events sis has not experienced. It is said that She hears the story and applies it to experiences in her own life. For example, when she sings about love and an adult situation, she thinks of Love for a family member, and if that love is lost, she thinks of losing one of her family. She feels the emotion because she experiences it in her own way. It is remarkable and at this age she is a prodigy.

She performs barefooted to raise awareness about children around the world who do not have shoes. She was travelling in the middle east when she was 6 and befriended a shoeless street vendor about her age. She gave the girl her shoes and wrote a book about it. "Between Two Hearts". She writes her own arrangements... in the studio she is known as "the Boss".

Grandma Mery was the first to stand in the audience in recognition of what AJ had just accomplished.
Mery Zamani, the tree from which the beautiful blossom has grown.
Angelina Jordan's artistic lineage, with her grandmother Mery Zamani being a world-renowned recognized painter, poet, and child genius prodigy certainly suggests a rich environment of creativity and expression. It's well-documented that Mery Zamani has been a significant influence in Angelina's life, nurturing her talents from a young age, and providing financial support to further AJ career. While Angelina co-wrote "Million Miles" about her maternal step-grandfather's passing with the Grammy Award-winning Norwegian duo, Stargate, the emotional depth and maturity of the lyrics could hint at the wisdom passed down from her grandmother. Angelina's ability to convey complex emotions through her music at such a young age is a testament to her unique upbringing and the artistic influences around her, including the mentorship of her grandma Mery.

Thank you for your insightful reaction and comments.
Norwegian born Angelina Jordan began singing at the age of one and a half, and by age three was listening to jazz and classics legends on repeat. Her grandmother was her greatest influence, but Angelina chose her own path. Her first studio performance was at age 7, singing I Who Have Nothing. She won Norway's Got Talent at the age of only 8, singing old time classics from Billie Holliday and George Gershwin, and became one of the youngest ever vocalists to win an international Got Talent Show! Her performance at 9 years old of Screamin Jay Hawkins, I Put a Spell on You is considered one of the finest jazz recordings ever of a 9-year-old vocalist! Angelina also went viral on America's Got Talent the champions in 2020 with her unique versions of Bohemian Rhapsody and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Angelina sings in English which is only her third language! She is a true prodigy.
She is now 18, and has recorded a huge library of songs, including covers and originals. A major attraction to Angelina's music is the emotion and attitude she conveys, Even though she may not have experienced the life events! She is known as the barefoot princess of 1,000 voices as she can adjust her tone, style, and register for any song or genre. She was signed by Republic Records when she was 14. She was not widely promoted for a few years, as her family wanted to allow her a normal childhood. However, things have changed since she graduated school in the past year. She released two original music video singles from Republic Records, Love Don't Let Me Go, and Now I'm the Fool, coinciding with her new six song EP called Old Enough. She performed two shows in Las Vegas in February, and also performed Unchained Melody at the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo last December. She performed in Los Angeles in September. She is currently working with Toby Gad, a multi Grammy award-winning producer and composer, and has released two songs. If I were a boy, originally by Beyoncé, and Bad Valentine, which was officially released at her September 20th concert in LA. We believe a world tour could be in the making to coincide with the release of an album.
Here is a semi-chronological TH-cam playlist for Angelina of over 200 songs, beginning with 16 performances including originals, her EP, and a few specialty songs. Then it starts chronologically beginning with Gloomy Sunday from Norway's Got Talent. th-cam.com/play/PL2v8kgVeo4EbQD6l_WAVjOfItquzW7oEc.html&si=HrEm55lV164yKJqu
Why does Angelina sing barefoot? The answer may makes many people emotional. It is related to a promise she made to herself and to the world when she was only 6 years old. She was traveling in the Middle East with her mom and grandmother and they came across a young orphan girl with no shoes and scarred feet. Angelina gave the girl her own favorite shoes. Angelina ask the girl what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said a doctor, but she could not because she had to take care of her siblings. She asked Angelina the same question and Angelina said I want to sing for the world. The young girl said she would pray for Angelina. Since then, Angelia has forever performed barefoot as a reminder of all those less fortunate. At age 9 she wrote a book about this experience, Between two Hearts, becoming the youngest ever published author in Norway. She also has helped raise millions for children's charities. She even stated at 8 years old that she would be donating her winnings from Norway's Got Talent to charities. She is a special individual, and one you cannot follow without developing a special bond.
Angelina captures hearts because she is humble and has compassion for humanity. She is a messenger of love, light, and hope, wrapped in a blanket of humility. Her stated goal from childhood was to sing for the world to spread love and peace. I trust this will cause you to embrace her as millions of others have, and that you will continue down the rabbit hole from which you will not want to escape. Peace and love.

Hi Charlie, pls show Andrea this comment:
even if you already got some comments with good information allow me sending you my "standard newbies comment" (SNC) - maybe you can find some for you new information in it ;-)
    So, here is my SNC:
Welcome to the universe of Angelina Jordan and thanks a billion for this nice reaction to her - I'm sure to hear more reactions to her from you! ...because it is...
    ...too late!
From now on you are assimilated in Angelina's entourage! Resistance is futile...
Even if you won't believe it and if you are in denial about it: Only listen to one song sung by Angelina Jordan and you are hooked on listening her voice! Maybe you aren't aware of it yet... a legend says in rare cases there are humans who can resist.... but I can't believe it 😏

Every time it's a pleasure to watch people reacting to Angelina Jordan - especially when it is the first time - and I hope to see more of your reactions on Angelina Jordan... 😏
    A little explanation:
Her cover "I put a spell on you" b/w studio version at 9yo (th-cam.com/video/nwFloCPXzCs/w-d-xo.html - btw. she made most of her cover arrangements by herself!) based on the original from Screemin' Jay Hawkins (from 1956) - Live: th-cam.com/video/7kGPhpvqtOc/w-d-xo.html
or another version of it: th-cam.com/video/orNpH6iyokI/w-d-xo.html
and here a version from 1990 in Tokyo - I feel, this is like the version Angelina has taken as the model, but I don't know it ( ;-) ): th-cam.com/video/Bb9ag8bch_U/w-d-xo.html
    or as Audio-Studio-Version: th-cam.com/video/82cdnAUvsw8/w-d-xo.html)
that's real fun - if you watch this too and may be after this watch Angelinas cover again you will find out that Angelinas cover is a real tribute to Jay Hawkins 😃
At the beginning you see her something writing on a sheet and a man reading it and smiles than.. in an interview this man, who was the "bandleader", said, this were some "wishes" from Angelina (she was every time very polite he said) for changes of her arrangement for the piano 😃
The candle you can see at about 0:12 shows a portrait of J. Hawkins - I think her grandma bought it at a concert in Tokyo ;)
At 0:26 you can see the bassist smiling - I can imagine that he smiles about the expectable reactions of the listeners in the moment, when Angelina starts to sing at 0:30 😏
Btw. I read somewhere that her grandma was in person at a concert of SJH in Japan (as she, AJs mother and uncle lived there some years - AJs grandpa is Japanese) and there AJs grandma bought this candle as a souvenir ;)
    ...I hope this story isn't a HOAX 😃

Maybe you wonder, what videos you should next react to 😏 ...
Furthermore there is a big pile of over 170 videos on TH-cam with Angelina Jordans rehearsals, covers and originals... and each and every one is worth to listen and to react to - even the very early recordings when she was 6 yo!
She is born January 10th 2006 in Oslo/Norge (English is her 3rd language 😏), sung her first notes of a Whitney Houston song with 18 months (link see down), started researching the internet for Jazz 3 yo, entered Norske Talenter (Norwegian Got Talent) 7 yo and won it 8 yo, was on AGT The Champions (recorded Oct. 2019, aired Jan. 2020) where she didn't won - some rumours say because she/her mother didn't sign the contract with the enterprise of Simon Cowell for to stay independent - meanwhile she has signed with Republic Records (musicnorway.no/aktuelt/industry-talk-michael-astar ).
Btw. her full name is Angelina Jordan Astar, but in most occasions she is introduced as Angelina Jordan - she herself answered in the audition of Norske Talenter her name is "Angelina Jordan"… 😏

"Above the water": th-cam.com/video/SC3F0bKKk3U/w-d-xo.html - interesting voice - even if EDM is not my preferred genre 😏

... here her "mini concert" from AGT the Champions (Watch out: With these videos other reactors have the most problems with copyright claims...):

...and for those, who like to hear it with the audio from the rehearsal without the noise from the audience at the performance a version edited from pa1189j : th-cam.com/video/O6Jw-ETH1mA/w-d-xo.html

In the meanwhile there are some more live versions of her originals and some cover songs from her summer 2022 concerts like in Kurbadhagen... 😏
Besides she is mostly making her very own arrangement there are some very interesting videos of her, where she uses the original arrangement or a big one of someone else like "I Have Nothing" (Whitney Houston Tribute) th-cam.com/video/eTcvvO6B3Io/w-d-xo.html or "Fly Me To The Moon" in the arrangement of Quincy Jones (rehearsal with concert mixed audio for his birthday party in the O2 arena): th-cam.com/video/OMkwoqUNNkE/w-d-xo.html .

And here is a video where it is explained (with English subtitles) why she performs barefoot: th-cam.com/video/A-OKLslO74Y/w-d-xo.html and here an Interview in the Norwegian TV (with English subtitles) from 2015 after she has published her book about the story why she is barefoot when performing: th-cam.com/video/-cCLDY0CSZ8/w-d-xo.html

In addition to school she got also vocal training at the Oslo School of Music and Performing Arts after-school program (I read, that this school said, they couldn't teach her more stuff because she has all learned what she could learn in this school ;-) ) - and btw. she plays also grand piano, violin, flute and guitar, make her arrangements herself, wrote a book, sew clothes for herself (partly with art from her grandma like in her first AGT performance and in her music video "Shield").
So, she is a real all-rounder and I think all her fans are eager to see and hear what she is doing next...

All the other things like more recommendation, chronological playlists and so on you can read in the comments of the mega-fans like Fernando F., Rusty (AJ videos in chronological order th-cam.com/channels/55am_6Y5-Fj4ri8xOInstA.html), Andy Schnell, ...

Thanks a billion again for your reaction! … and see you soon with your next AJ reactions - with greetings from Berlin/Germany 😃 Best regards
    Andreas

Hi, guys! She definitely understand the message of every song she sings. (Btw, she was 9 here.) Occasionally she has to alter the lyrics to make them appropriate for her to sing the song (like Amy Winehouse songs). When she obviously is singing a song where the lyrics present a life situation that we know she could have never experienced we still get affected by her soulful voice because she looks for the message of love in the song (any song) and relates to the love and we hear that and feel that, so whatever she is singing sounds believable. Really extraordinary.
First time reactions to her usually include goosebumps, tearing up (with an urge to cry) and finding it difficult to speak normally during or right after she sings 'for you'. Yes, she is not singing to you, she is singing 'for you'. There is so, so much more about 'who she is' which will entrance you to such a degree you wind up thinking about her with thoughts so endearing you soon realize the feelings you have about her are feelings you've never had before in your life. Her poise and confidence? During interviews when she was very young she was often asked the question, "Do you ever get nervous in front of large audiences when you sing?" She replies to that question by saying, "I am most comfortable in my life when I am on stage singing for people." Yes, she was born to sing and she sings for us. Charlie and guest (you are very lovely) please react to Angelina more. The fascination of listening to her will never ebb. The next song you listen to might be the best you've ever heard her sing. That is, until you hear the next one. Her voice speaks for itself and what is equally at a level of performance which is incomprehensible is her artistic qualities which musicians in particular are astounded by. She rearranges 'covers' according to how she interprets the original message of a song and she literally makes her arrangements an entirely different song and at the same time STILL PAYS HOMAGE TO THE ORIGINAL SONG AND ARTIST. She does have plenty of original material on you tube and her story telling style is captivating.

It's hard to explain just how good that version of Bohemian Rhapsody really is. It takes the typical stripped down acoustic version were used to and elevates beyond the original.
And we're talking about Queen, one of the greatest rock bands, if not the greatest rock band in history.
Though if you nominated the Beetles then Queen has to be 2nd. 😂❤

She was nine when this was recorded. She had already won Norway's Got Talent after just turning 8. This is her full-time band, hired after she had won. Angelina had been working with them at this point for almost a year. They called her, "Boss," not because she was that, but because they knew they were working with an incredible talent. She, even just before this recording, was changing the arrangement. Angelina, to this day, arranges her own music. You have no idea what you have just discovered. English was her third language of 4. I suggest you now listen to her performance at the Nobel Peace Prize Award Tribute Concert last December in Norway. She sang Unchained Melody with the KORK orchestra. One of the 10 best orchestras in the world. It was broadcast live worldwide. By the way it was her second time to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Award Ceremony. She is the only person to ever perform at 2. In Norway, she was declared a National Treasure after winning Norway's Got Talent. All her performances went viral here on TH-cam. She is a gift to us all. Most say she is an old soul in a young body.

Ocean wave or soft summer breeze, Angelina Jordan.
Angelina’s voice and her total being is like an ocean wave or soft summer breeze that takes you in and rushes you to places you have rarely experienced. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan the finest story telling signature vocalist I have ever experienced in years of listening to the best the industry has to offer. It doesn't matter how old she is from 7 to 18, at present, there is nothing like her on earth.
What will you have to say after you have experienced "Yellow Brick Road" and "Someone You Loved" on the same show later that year?

She did not finish in the top five. That wasn't the point anyway. She may have hoped she would win but what her manager, who is also her uncle Michael, wanted was exposure to an American audience. And it worked, the next year she was signed by Republic Records. It also brought her to the attention of Toby Gad and they worked on songs together when she was sixteen. One of them was the just released Bad Valentine that Toby has been promoting the heck out of. They had a falling out per Toby where he hung up the phone on her when she told him that the song wouldn't be on her EP Old Enough. He got back in touch with her when he wanted her to sing If I Were A Boy on his album Piano Diaries in which he reimagines his biggest hits from the past with newer singers, like Angelina. She did win Norway's Got Talent but not America's Got Talent. There has been a lot of speculation about why she didn't win but nobody outside of her family and the people behind America's Got Talent really know the truth. She did however get huge exposure, which is what her team really wanted.

    AGT
To win AGT you must sign a contract with Simon, and he then has control of your future. AJ's family would not allow that to happen because they wanted her to have as much of a normal life as possible and still pursue her goals, and money was not an issue because her family is somewhat wealthy. Several producers flew into Norway in their private jets after AJ wone NGT and tried to sign her, but the family did like the terms of the contracts. I believe one of the producers was David Foster.
This video of Angelina Jordan performing Bohemian Rhapsody has been viewed over 150 million times.

When I learned of Angelina Jordan, 4.5 years ago, my brain would ache while watching her videos. THAT voice coming from such a young girl just didn't make sense, but the quality of her singing was so good, I had to watch every video I could find. It is all about telling the story of the song for Angelina and conveying the emotions. Her intense love of music allows her magic to happen.
    *Why Angelina always performs barefoot*
At age 6, while traveling in the Middle East with her mother and grandmother, Angelina noticed a girl around her age standing on the side of the road, asking people to step on her bathroom scale to be weighed in hopes of getting some money.
Angelina never learned the orphan's name but called her Princess. The orphan girl replied, "princesses live in castles, we live in ruins". Angelina titled her song about this story, "Princess of Ruins".
Angelina still says she thinks of that homeless girl every day and has always performed barefoot to remind her of all the children who are less fortunate. At age 9, she became the youngest published author in Norway’s history by writing a book about this encounter in the Middle East. PLEASE PURCHASE Angelina’s book from her merchandise store on her official website.

Great reaction! You know what you are talking about, being singers yourself. Have a listen to other songs of Angelina’s too. It’s not only her technique, she uses her technique to create emotions in the listener like no other! Many people get goosebumps and tears when listening to her, even after having heard the same song many times. I’m one of them. It eases any trouble and lifts my mood: “Fly me to the moon” :) I’d like more people to experience this.
