    I'm really grateful that you are doing these videos demonstrating how wonderful MSFS 2020 is even in the default state. So many people only find fault.

    Watching the preflight I'm just amazed that these are now the default avionics for this aircraft.

    Great flight. Love to watch you work the plane. I went back to it the other day and forgot just about everything. Thanks!

    40:50 Good comment on PAPI visibility. I used to think not seeing them on real world GA approaches was some form of target fixation (extreme runway focus) but later i realized they just aren’t that visible in bright daylight.

      @SpaceDad42 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sure they are. I’ve never had an issue in 30 years of flying.

      @@SpaceDad42 I’ve been flying since the 80’s (mostly California, Washington, Alaska, Utah, Nevada) in bright weather w/ highly variable terrain. I guess “mileage may vary,” esp. due to distance from the field.

    2 landings for the price of one....that is classic and hilarious. Thank you for your great and beautiful videos, full of information and guidance !!!

    KASE is primarily a one way in one way out airport. 15 for arrival 33 for departure. It’s common to accept a tail wind for 15. Cuz 33 is downhill, the end being 200 feet lower than the threshold. And south of the field is not great for circling to land since it’s all rising terrain.

    Rwy 33 is Downhill so longer landing distance

    The Citation Longitude's cabin altitude is 5950ft, that's why it was descending after takeoff. Great video btw, I do love the Longitude with its airliner-like performance!

    The Longitudes Fadec system will cut the Auto throttle automatically once you're over the threshold. No need for manual throttle control when landing. Although I recommend A final VREF landing speed set for full flaps between 116 and 125 knots. Always enjoy your videos 😎

    N700SB you were not cleared for Rwy 15. I have a number for you to copy when you are able.

    You make it look so easy. I can't tell you how many kisses I've taken there in the Longitude in good weather and bad. Each one was white nuckle scary. Those mountains get really big, very fast.

      The longitude is a rocket, even at high DA. Even in real life, it is well suited for airports like Telluride. Thrust reversers decrease landing distance as well. It has nose wheel steering as well. Great learning tool for airliners, particularly Boeing. Hybrid fbw and conventional.

    Two of my favorite airports in the colorado area. I often fly in colorado and arizona. Prefer to fly the black square tbm 850 in that area, but sometimes fly the longitude as well.

    What happened to the circle to land 33?

    • @SpaceDad42
      @SpaceDad42 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Normal procedure at Aspen is to land on runway 15 and takeoff 33, winds permitting. Circling there has a high pucker factor.

    Great video. Was a bit confused as you were setting up to land on Rwy 33. Ironically I was going to request that u do a video on that Rwy 15 approach. Botched it recently.

    I can’t find a single TH-camr that has explained how to set the squawk code on the longitude.

      This I can assure you, the comms, squawk, nav are the easiest on longy compared to many. Popup keyboard entry or just automatic from airport menu. You can use inner/outer rotary, popup keypad, or auto. Just pressing on code in gtc brings up keypad. Takes 5seconds. Amazing really, compared to g1000, 530, etc. without keypad.

    At Christmas I'm switching to a new PC as well as the MSFS 2024. I've always been on the lookout for a well-implemented bizjet. Have you found one with the Longitude - also in terms of system depth?

    Was the decision to do a flaps 1 takeoff due to the altitude or climb gradient requirements? Everything I've read in the WT discord said a Flaps 2 TO was pretty typical

    This aircraft is a joy to fly on vatsim, compared to airliners.

      Do you mean TCAS? Did you turn your transponder ON (ALT mode)?

    • @DownTheRabbit-Hole
      @DownTheRabbit-Hole 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You also have to have traffic. Either ai or vatsim, within range. Some form of traffic must be turned on in options menu.

    Great video. Thank you. When did you decide to switch to runway 15? You set up for runway 33? I wasn’t sure if you were going to do a circle to land approach, but then you went straight in for runway 15. Just curious.

    Hi Emmanuel! Does your longitude in msfs do the NAV 1 ils morse beep beeps when frequency is set and activated? Mine doesn't

    • @DownTheRabbit-Hole
      @DownTheRabbit-Hole 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No. Neither do airliners. The ident is displayed automatically when in range, on pfd. Or you can verify on gtc/nav press. When you load an approach freqs are loaded auto. Takes some getting used to. Their are signal degradation errors on pfd, even tho i have never experienced. Good luck

    Was sagst du eigentlich zu Beginn deiner Videos immer? Ich verstehe 'I'm a model, I'm an airline pilot'. Stimmt das? Und wenn ja, was für ein Model bist du? Hast du einen Link auf Bilder von dir?
