Great work, wish I had this video as a resource 4 months ago when I was making my own pc. I have the asus B650E-E and I noticed you got the specs wrong. You said it had 1 PCIE M.2 Gen 5.0 and 3 PCIE M.2 Gen 4.0, but it actually has 2 PCIE M.2 Gen 5.0 and 2 PCIE M.2 Gen 4.0. It's easy to make small mistakes when you're looking at 35 boards. Great work once again.
Thanks for the hard work Steve. I bought a B650M ELITE AX two days before this was released for my 7800X3D as it was the cheapest 8 layer PCB that had the features I needed and was $40 cheaper than the PRO AX in my region - I felt relieved after seeing it near the top of the chart, not too far off the PRO. This is valuable content, appreciate the time you put into it. Cheers.
Thank you for putting in all this hard work, well done! I've got an Asus B650E-E that I purchased a couple of months ago for £325 and, at the time, it was the best all rounder on the market. I've not had any issues with it, everything is working as expected and it's a good pair for my 7950X.

Great information, thank you for this video. I ended up going with the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk. Maybe it wasn't the highest rated board, but I had the original B450 Tomahawk and absolutely loved it. Hope I get the same experience with the MAG. Thanks again!

12:09 The ASUS ProArt B650 Creator main feature would be the two pcie x16 slots that can be run at x8 each. Which is needed when running two GPUs for 3D rendering applications like Blender. Much less expensive than buying a threadripper or xeon workstation for multiple GPUs.
Yes, but I think that users that have a multiGPU render PC dedicated for this task, specially if using top tier end GPUs like 4090, most likely have more than enough money to just buy a X670E
@@XxDeViLBrInGeRxX Those X670E boards with dual x8 cost $450+. That's a lot of money if the B650 Creator can do the same thing. It also has a DisplayPort input on the back for DisplayPort over USB-C without the overhead of the iGPU. Useful for those who use a Thunderbolt dock or similar for connecting their monitors and perhaps switching between a laptop and desktop. This also is a feature otherwise only found on $400+ boards.
ASUS *ProArt B650* x16 or x8+x8 *(PCIe 4.0)* straight to CPU 3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset PCIe 4.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~32 GB/s. ASUS *B650E-E* *MAJOR EDIT:* pdf manual says x16 or x8+x4 *(PCIe 5.0)* straight to CPU (other sources + my assumption were: x8 + x8). 3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset PCIe 5.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~63 GB/s. But... x8 + *x4* wouldn't be great for two GPU's... Especially if they don't support PCIe 5.0... 😕 So, if two GPU's (PCIe 4.0 x16) would be enough, boards would sort of kind of work... *But...* ProArt B650 with halved bandwidth for both GPU's (PCIe 4.0 x8). Since RTX 4090 etc. and Proart B650 don't support PCIe 5.0. Which might not be a (major) problem, in practice. Even with todays fastest GPU's. But in the future, it might be... B650E-E's situation is bit weird, assuming pdf manual is correct: PCIe 5.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Absolutely fantastic! Future proof. PCIe 4.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Great! For example, unlimited RTX 4090. PCIe 5.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 5.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & limiting... PCIe 4.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 4.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & seriously limiting... Anyways, actual HEDT mobos are much more capable (more PCIe-lanes, flexibility and memory). And very expensive, too. And of course, they require HEDT CPU's etc.
@@eukariootti1 I thought the Asus Strix B650E-E only has x8 + x4, not dual x8. On the specs page I see: 2 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots (supports x16 & x8/x4 modes)
I went with the ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F because it seemed like the best option on paper. Been running it since the 79050X3D launched and it has been bulletproof. Glad to see it stacks up against all of those other options in practice, too. I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone jumping into the AM5 platform on the upper end of things.
The big the the A has over the E-F though is intel NIC. That is why the E-F looks better then the A at the same price point, E-F uses a far cheaper NIC.

HU knocking it out of the park again (no real surprise there though). Fantastic work. Did my first ever build over last Christmas at the grand old age of 51 and went for the B650E-F. Was going to go for the Tomahawk but on the day at Memory Express the Asus was on sale for around $20 CAD more than the MSI board! Quite the deal and I’ve had zero issues with the whole build (R5 7600x and a “place holder” 6750XT). Again many thanks to HU for all their great work, you and Jason (PC Builder) we’re my go to sources of info on the build.
I am used to come to your channel to check on some pc parts testing but this time I had to subscribe, what a great job gathering all those board models.
I got the Asus B650E-E a few months ago paired with a 7700x. I've really wanted a nice future proof board with useful features. In my opinion one of these must have features is a Q-code display. It saved me a lot of troubleshooting time including the cmos reset button on the back. Too bad board manufacturers nowadays mostly include Q-leds and ask for a premium for such thing.
i have this too its ok no shady overvolting going on with expo on (thank god), guess these regulations in place that work??? insanity i have 7600x tho my bios is behind cause amazon its on 0821
Thanks Steve. You're a Legend. I'm actually relieved to see you have picked the Asus B650E-F and B650E-E as your top boards from the lot (for their respective prices). After much research, just about 3 months ago, I went with the Asus B650E-E for my AM5 build. Didn't mind paying 70 bucks more over the F variant for more PCIe 5.0 and PCIe 4.0 m.2 NVMe ports, and the "premium" dual 7-segment LED code display, which is significantly more useful than the plain 4 LED fault lights off my old board, an MSI B450-GAMING-PRO-CARBON-AC, purchased after your B450 board comparison from several years ago. My B650E-E was initially paired with a 7950X, which I later returned, and purchased a 7800X3D at launch day. Been pretty pleased with this latest build, and happy they seem to have sorted out the 7800X3D CPU voltages in their 1616 BIOS. They were uploading a new BIOS almost every day. It was insane! 😂 Cheers brother! ❤️
Surprised there was not much mention around the Q-Code LED's. Those are a major factor in which motherboards are worth snagging. They are extremely helpful in diagnosing and dealing with any technical issues (which are almost always going to happen when buiding your own pc).
Really wishing I’d find more boards with these. My MSI Gaming M5 Z170A that I used to house my (current) i7-6700k has the LCDs on-board. Ridiculous at the higher price that it’s left out. Manufacturers in all industries have been cutting corners since Covid/chip shortages.
Great work here, motherboard comparisons seem like a pain to do. I've been using a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX with my 7800x3d since that CPU was released and it's been rock solid. Glad to see it get a favorable mention here.
Same here, I paired it with a 7700X at the time since the X3D chips weren't available yet. Excellent board, it's got everything that I could've ever asked for on a motherboard.
@@trparky About to do this same exact combination in my next PC. Any advice regarding RAM setup? I've heard this board can be very picky about dual channel, and that for the first boot it won't post if you use two sticks. Gotta use one, configure RAM settings (what I heard, don't know what that means), then put the other DIMM in and it's good to go. At least that's the procedure I've seen people use when the board refuses to post using two DIMMs, I'm sure most people use two for the first boot anyway.

I got the Strix B-650E-F paired with a 7900x and I got them in a bundle with 2 sticks of DDR5 CL6000 Mt/s Dimms, all for like $600 from MicroCenter 4-5 months ago, I have not had any issue's at all, OC'ing OV'ing have been really easy with the BIOS on this board. ima be honest the hdv is not worth $145 nor is the 7600 for $240, you kind of payed a premium for both since they’ve been out for so long now and prices have gone up for those two specifically.
@@puffyips In my country B650 Pro rs costs 230$, B650m Pro rs - 179$, it is expensive, but if you choose problem-free with a compromise set of functionality - this is the cost that we have to pay in order to somehow hope, if necessary, for warranty exchange or return, as the order from abroad deprives you of such rights.

Update ? I don't know which MB to buy for the 7800x3D. Tomahawk seems to have Bios problems, slow boot, like Asus and with Aorus you have a chance to get coil whine, I'm lost

The power delivery seems awesome and more than sufficient for my CPU, as it's boosting high on a -35 PBO CO, and keeping temps under 82C during intensive gaming! (Cooler: Thermalright PA 120 SE ARGB) This video helped a lot in finding a middle ground between Power Phases + Amps and VRM temps! Coming from an Asus B550-Plus Prime & 5800X Note: I don't use the WiFi, only the bluetooth... and it works great, but I feel like my ASUS USB-BT500 Bluetooth 5.0 adapter has less latency when there's multiple sounds going to my BT speakers Note #2: I'm not sure if it was my old motherboard, my old CPU, or both, but Jedi Survivor would run at 50-80 frames with FSR Balanced and Medium graphics (both GPU and CPU under 80% load). Now it reaches 100 FPS Epic settings, no FSR. 120-145 WITH FSR Quality (highest) - I play @1440p
The efforts you go through in order to create content like this is unbelievable, and I like that you break it down by price point in the end. I was hoping that NZXT's N7 B650E would also be included in the tests because it has a unique aesthetic to it and I'm considering the white version for an all white PC build. But seeing how the vast majority of these boards have totally acceptable or in some cases great VRMs I'm not too concerned about how it will perform.

I’ve watched this video more times than I care to admit, but it was incredibly helpful in picking out my first motherboard for my first build. Went with the ASRock B650E PG RIPTIDE WIFI. Thanks for all the effort on this. Cheers!
how do you look like it ?
@@hasanahmad it’s been great! Posted o the first try. Haven’t had any issues booting since I built. Changed the RAM to the EXPO profile and haven’t had any issues. Ethernet is working well (there were reports in Newegg of that being an issue). So again, been great.
how does it look visually? I'm considering this board but the blue color puts me off
@@mvvzrthe blue on the right is mostly covered by my graphics card, but you do see the logo and blue “ring” on the left. I don’t think it’s that noticeable especially since it ends up being towards the back of the PC but it is visible. (Edited for spelling)

Thank you for all the work that has gone into this. Keep in mind, many of us happy on am4 will be reviewing this content in the future.
Thank you for all of the work!
Steve, thank you for taking the time to create this content. I am currently in the the market for an AM5 board and truly appreciate your amazing content.
Great work once again.
yeah i was confused about that. i was like 2 PCIE 5.0?? where?? lol
Cheers.
Amazing ✨ thank you HUB!
Thank you for putting in all this hard work, well done! I've got an Asus B650E-E that I purchased a couple of months ago for £325 and, at the time, it was the best all rounder on the market. I've not had any issues with it, everything is working as expected and it's a good pair for my 7950X.
No issues ? Code15 expo works good? And memory restore?
I am going with the Asrock b650e PG Riptide Wi-Fi. Seems to be the best balance of features and temperatures. Will be mostly used for gaming. Thanks for the comprehensive review mate.
This is a great video, congrats Steve 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 The best is the conclusion that basically all of the boards are valid options if you are not using a top of the line CPU for compute heavy workloads, like gaming. Great video and I really like your conclusions 👍🏻
Thank you so much for putting in the effort to have some value tied to the insane amount of motherboards. You guys are awesome!
The amount of work You guys do is just world leading :]
Great information, thank you for this video. I ended up going with the MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk. Maybe it wasn't the highest rated board, but I had the original B450 Tomahawk and absolutely loved it. Hope I get the same experience with the MAG. Thanks again!
It's not the highest rated? I saw PC builders video on motherboards and he said the tomahawk is the best one in this range. I also got the tomahawk lol
@@jasondinh5217 is it still working and would you reccomend
Are you satisfied with this motherboard, please ? I might take it also.
@@JohnBeaversYT I didn’t get it. Ended up going for a white build. But i learned a lot since making that comment. It’s one of the best so you should get it 100% everyone from pc builder, hardware unboxed, and geekawhat recommend it. Hardware unboxed put it in his b650 buying guide.
Sublime testing and work Steve! I want to thank you a lot for all of your testings, as the knowledge and findings you and Tim share with use, not only help me,
but many other people that I help on forums, and I use your channel testings to base my recommendation and advice on.
Thanks for the video
This is exactly what I was looking for. I'm putting together a budget to upgrade my current rig to AM5. Thanks Steve!
I got the Asus B650E-F a few months ago. Very reassuring that it was your best all-rounder pick!
Any problems 5 months in?
Thanks!
I just subscribed to Patreon just because of the shower amount of work you guys have put in this.
Kiitos!
ASUS *ProArt B650*
x16 or x8+x8 *(PCIe 4.0)* straight to CPU
3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset
PCIe 4.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~32 GB/s.
ASUS *B650E-E*
*MAJOR EDIT:* pdf manual says x16 or x8+x4 *(PCIe 5.0)* straight to CPU
(other sources + my assumption were: x8 + x8).
3rd full-sized slot is PCIe 4.0 x4, via Chipset
PCIe 5.0 x16 (or x8 + x8) means maximum ~63 GB/s. But...
x8 + *x4* wouldn't be great for two GPU's... Especially if they
don't support PCIe 5.0... 😕
So, if two GPU's (PCIe 4.0 x16) would be enough, boards would sort of kind of work...
B650E-E's situation is bit weird, assuming pdf manual is correct:
PCIe 5.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Absolutely fantastic! Future proof.
PCIe 4.0 x16 for a single GPU --> Great! For example, unlimited RTX 4090.
PCIe 5.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 5.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & limiting...
PCIe 4.0 x8 for GPU1 + PCIe 4.0 *x4* for GPU2 --> Weird & seriously limiting...
On the specs page I see:
2 x PCIe 5.0 x16 slots (supports x16 & x8/x4 modes)
The only B650 motherboard as of now to feature dual x16 @ x8x8 mode
I went with the ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F because it seemed like the best option on paper. Been running it since the 79050X3D launched and it has been bulletproof. Glad to see it stacks up against all of those other options in practice, too. I'd recommend it to pretty much anyone jumping into the AM5 platform on the upper end of things.
Asus b650e-f or b650e-e im trying to buy one of these i also bought a 7950x3d and a 4090
The big the the A has over the E-F though is intel NIC.
That is why the E-F looks better then the A at the same price point, E-F uses a far cheaper NIC.
Indeed. Just got mine. E-E is kind of pointless, IMO.
Please keep doing these, your b550 lineup video saved me from buying a super bad board that I considered because of the price
Thank you so much! I was never the one who's usually on the latest platform whatsoever... but for me this is quite a timeless video, people can always look at this anytime. So, thank you so much! Awesome work
Love this overview doc - very very helpful to keep info/comparisons in mind! Great work!
I didn't even need this guide (yet) but damn that's a massive undertaking!
I think you need to do another comparison, for that crossover price point of high end b650's v low end x670's
*Ie B650 strix v X670 tuf (no primes lol)
I really appreciate the work and effort you put into this every time, Steve. This is not something that's done and this is one of the reasons I love your videos. Your work is very detailed and very valuable. I see you're not too far from reaching 1M subscribers. Keep up the amazing work!
Tech journalism that we need.
Absolutely incredible! I can only imagine the time and effort gone into this. Thank you so much! ❤
Amazing work Steve and crew! I originally went with a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX, great boot times, stability and build quality but it had horrendous coil whine so I returned it. I now have the MSI B650 Tomahawk, it's a great (quiet!) board and will do everything I need and more!
I have a tomahawk and can't even get my bios flashed with the usb tool. so I have a rectangular piece of ewaste to RMA and a lot of time lost. I would never recommend this thing to anyone with a newer ryzen cpu
same happened to me bro, its insane today i did rma application :D@@B00h44
how long is the boot time, and is it faster or slower than gigabyte?
@@boi9433boot time is about 40 seconds. Gigabyte board was about 25 seconds. I'm still on an old bios for the msi board. I'm waiting for a while before I update to a new bios. Hopefully I will get better boot times. Not too worried about it though.
@@SteeloNZ1 It's funny we have M.2 SSDs and lightning fast CPUs coupled with the fastest RAM available so far, yet we are now back to HDD era boot times lmao
Thank you for your outstanding work and reporting.
The amount of work you put in to creating this content blows my mind.
Just the thought of the repetitive builds and teardowns makes me a little queasy, and that's just the basics.
Honestly, your content is a great guide to use when making purchases.
More power to you!
Oh, brother. The amount of work you and the team put towards thus video must have been insane, so here's a bit of appreciation.
Man you are crazy for testing all of those boards and I love it! Great to hear my choise was one of the best (ROG Strix B650E-E). Please keep up the good job!
I pray for your sanity after this video
lmfao i think imma jus go with elite AX
I am used to come to your channel to check on some pc parts testing but this time I had to subscribe, what a great job gathering all those board models.
I got the Asus B650E-E a few months ago paired with a 7700x. I've really wanted a nice future proof board with useful features. In my opinion one of these must have features is a Q-code display. It saved me a lot of troubleshooting time including the cmos reset button on the back. Too bad board manufacturers nowadays mostly include Q-leds and ask for a premium for such thing.
i have this too its ok no shady overvolting going on with expo on (thank god), guess these regulations in place that work??? insanity i have 7600x tho my bios is behind cause amazon its on 0821
Same exact configuration, I love it
no issues with the intel LAN chipset and internet connectivity problems?
Any problems 5 months in?
I don't know what I'd do without you. THANK YOU
Thanks Steve.
Cheers brother! ❤️
im planning to buy the same mobo in two days but dont know how to read these numbers of dual 7-segment LED code display .. any hint dude ?
@@oldschool_bamagatrader9960 Google is your friend! Just ask motherboard code xx and it will tell you!
'Almost always' seems quite the exaggeration.
Great work here, motherboard comparisons seem like a pain to do. I've been using a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX with my 7800x3d since that CPU was released and it's been rock solid. Glad to see it get a favorable mention here.
I Buy the same paired with 7600 , very cold mother
Same here, I paired it with a 7700X at the time since the X3D chips weren't available yet. Excellent board, it's got everything that I could've ever asked for on a motherboard.
about to build a friend a new system using this board...found it on sale bundled with a AMD 7600X at almost $200 less than buying both separate
Thank you very much, amazing work. When I buy a new part, I always look at your tests and buy it accordingly.
Asrock also has the B650m PG Riptide NON-WIFI model that's priced around $160 usd. I am planning on buying the Asrock (B)B650m-HDV/M.2 and pairing it with the Ryzen 7700 & RX 6800.
Thank you for doing all this work.
I was stopping the video and crunching the numbers on my features, and before the end, I picked the same best board as you! Cool!
I just bought the MSI MPG B650I Edge mITX motherboard today and then this video is posted... here's hoping for the best 😀
Edit: Looks about middle of the road compared to the features/temperatures on other boards, but it's by far the cheapest mITX motherboard I could find in Aus.
Middle of the road for cheapest is good in my book 👍
Pretty good actually, middle in terms of features and performance, but the cheapest price
ANYTHING MSI WILL GET THE JOB DONE THEY ARE A FANTASTIC COMPANY WITH STELLAR CUSTOMER SERVICE ANYWAY
for me awful decision - this tiny fan ... and no PCIe5 just to save $40-50. ASUS rog is way way better
How fast does your PC boot? I have a msi mag b650 Tomahawk wifi and it takes more than a minute to boot.
Best channel on TH-cam i watch before buying any pc components.
Thank you Steve! I used many of your previous B550 roundup board videos to determine which B550 I wanted to buy. In a couple years this video will still be relevant and great!
You're my goto motherboard information source. They're well tested and hope this continues. Thank you for what you do!
I can't even imagine how much work this video gave you. Im pretty sure the whole community is hugely grateful for your work. Thank you so much for your dedication
Amazing work! I've been scratching my head for a few days, trying to make sense of the comparison between just a fraction of these boards... Thanks to this video, you steered me away from a nicely discounted Asus prime... now looking for a nice deal on the ASrock lightning.
Thank you!
For your efforts, I watched it 3 times. We appreciate what you do because its obvious you appreciate what you do!
Hey man great work. Super helpful and I’ve been waiting for this one. However I wanted gaming data and boot time data as well. Also you should make a playlist of AM5 mobo videos on your channel so new buyers in the research phase can binge easier
I love you guys. Thank you for everything you do for the PC community!
This video has been so helpful for helping me choose which motherboard I should go for on my PC. I much appreciate everything you do, Thank you! :)
I have been recommending this board since I got it. For the price it is worth it. More then enough headers and USB. I edit, game and use UE5 Blender, and this has been a great combo. I came off a 5900x and the MSI EK Carbon x570S which was way way more money and I have no regrets.
Got that exact same bundle, and I agree.
Any problems 5 months in?
Excellent and useful video! Especially good editing. I appreciate that the editing is not too tight and I have a chance to breath and think as you move between categories. I will be returning to this video again in the future.
That's a RIDICULOUSLY good review roundup, props to everyone involved, holy shit!
Takk!
Thanks! Any change to get boot times from these boards?
This has got to be the most informative comparison video I've seen in a very long time. You guys really went all out. This is the kind of content that gains a channel subscribers. Excellent work.
Thank you, awesome job! I'm convinced that you guys' hard work is a large contributor to why we're seeing better quality mobo offerings from the manufacturers now. I went with the Asus ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming Wifi because it came bundled with a 7900X and 32gb for $599 from Microcenter in Feb 2023. Thinking about swapping the 7900X for a 7800X3D as a better pairing for my 4090.
how has the mobo been u mate? and how is e-f b650 rog strix compared to e-e b650 rog strix
Just built my first PC in on a asrock HDV/m.2 (145 USD) with a 7600(240 USD) with 16 gb RAM in Norway , really happy with it so far, thanks for helping me find good parts
ima be honest the hdv is not worth $145 nor is the 7600 for $240, you kind of payed a premium for both since they’ve been out for so long now and prices have gone up for those two specifically.
Thanks for this amazing review and for the whole lot of work it took!
Why do I feel that this content purely from time x effort doesn't equal the outcome other videos would achieve in a lot less time but here you are still cranking this out. Great work as always!
Nice work ! Looking at the motherboards for early 2024. Was looking for the best yet the cheapest motherboard and before you did this amazing video I was targetting the Asrock B650M HDVM2. Maybe price gonna drop even more and thanks to you I have several viable choices here. Thanks again you did and you all does a great job every day !!! Keep going ;)
35 motherboards is insane this video had everything i needed massive thank you, and this deserves a sub
Your hard work put into this research and testing is mind blowing. I hope it's still current being this stuff changes quickly. I purchased the ASUS ROG Strix B650E-F Gaming WiFi AM5 (LGA1718) Ryzen 7000 Gaming Motherboard based off your findings. I had to replace a MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk w/wifi. Probably a great board, but it has defects after 30 days. The MSI support process is hit or miss I guess, because I am still waiting for support and hopefully the ASUS ROG will let me move on and finally get to game!!! Thanks again.
Update ? I don't know which MB to buy for the 7800x3D. Tomahawk seems to have Bios problems, slow boot, like Asus and with Aorus you have a chance to get coil whine, I'm lost
Amazing video, it helped me a lot to figure out my options available right now.
Man - I'd love to see a test comparing idle power consumption for each board (total system consumption comparison). I leave my PC on almost 24/7 and such a comparison would really help me with upgrade choices
Just yesterday I was watching a ton of videos on B650 mobos, tremendous work! Thanks!!
The Asus b650e-e is only 300-330€ in Europe including 20%VAT, compared to 400+ for the other 2 high end options.
They got some really good discounts after the fiasco with the x3D.
That's the one I got for a high-end system. Wasn't worth going any more expensive than that, since it has all the features I need.
No internet problems with the intel lan chipset on this board?
Man he is so happy that he managed this :D Great job, I need to watch the video ten times to decide now :P
Thank you Steve as this had to be a massive undertaking!
I had already purchased the AS Rock Riptide 650E from Microcenter along with a 7800x3d (a great combo deal saving $50) and this just reaffirmed it was a good choice as it gives me the M.2 PCI 5.0 slot for a future path (I installed a M.2 PCi 4.0 2tb for now). Anyhow, I am super happy with my new build thus far.
How's the board and the boot times ? I was thinking either this one or the msi b650 tomahawk wifi ? Which one would you suggest ?
can you give your boot times please ? thanks you so much
Monumental undertaking, Steve. Thank you for doing what you do.
Absolute madman
Thank you for the video! I originally went for the Asus B650E-F "Like New" from Amazon ($180 - great deal)... but it came with a few bent CPU pins, and I was not going to try my luck after getting a 7800x3D lol
I returned it and went for the TUF Gaming B650-Plus WiFi new ($200). it's just been two days since I got it, but it's been awesome so far! The power delivery seems awesome and more than sufficient for my CPU, as it's boosting high on a -35 PBO CO, and keeping temps under 82C during intensive gaming! (Cooler: Thermalright PA 120 SE ARGB)
This video helped a lot in finding a middle ground between Power Phases + Amps and VRM temps!
Coming from an Asus B550-Plus Prime & 5800X
Note: I don't use the WiFi, only the bluetooth... and it works great, but I feel like my ASUS USB-BT500 Bluetooth 5.0 adapter has less latency when there's multiple sounds going to my BT speakers
Note #2: I'm not sure if it was my old motherboard, my old CPU, or both, but Jedi Survivor would run at 50-80 frames with FSR Balanced and Medium graphics (both GPU and CPU under 80% load).
Iirc nzxt usually uses asrock boards, so look for the one of those that is closest to the n7 in terms of specs for an idea of how it'd do
After watching your review I got ASrock B560-HDV/M.2, AMD 7900X and a separate Intel AX210 WiFI module for the motherboard. Very happy with the setup. Thanks for another great video!
I bought the Gigabyte B650m Aorus Elite AX. Glad to see its pretty decent. I got minr for $140. Im really glad that vrm testing has become more mainstream. Back around B350 times, the mobo companies used to hide behind weird marketing and you could only hope for a Buildzoid PCB breakdown to expose the truth. BZ is good and all but isnt interested in breaking down every single mobo
hi albino , how is the boot time with your board ? i am planning for the same board
@@j.shishani6808 my boot times are fast. I'm currently booting off a Samsung 980 non-pro which is ok. It may depend on bios version though. I'm running the F5e beta BIOS from around when I bought the board. I think this is before the whole memory training thing. I'm running my ram at 4800mt still
I would recommend at least the F6 version cause there was the exploit that Eclypsium Research exposed.
