    WOW nice build. Looks pretty heavy.

      It's lighter than it looks all things considered. The rectangular tube is 1/8" wall

      @@Shopworx this looks like a very heavy trailer, have you weighed it?

      Thanks, I built most of it from steel I had floating around. Only had to buy the outer C-channel rub rails. Tired of people loading the equipment trailers and hitting the fenders. Ultimately though it was built for putting the side by side on.

    Can you build one for me? Price?

    If putting a heavy load on the trailer will the deck drop and rub on the wheels. How much weigh do you think the trailer will handle before this happens?

      @Shopworx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Never had any problems with the tires rubbing on the deck. Overloaded or not...or articulating off road....

    Did you do a video on the service bed build in your opening sequence? Love your work on the 6 door!

    • @Shopworx
      @Shopworx  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No I didn't, That was done many years ago, back when there was tons of space in the shop and I was dirt floor poor...lol (still am.. but now I have concrete). It was a big rust repair job as just about all the bins were rusted out on the bottoms and the deck was not much better. I have some pictures floating around if you have any more questions on it or not. Any questions just ask!
      A lot of those pictures in the intro were put in so people were not expecting this channel to be of just one thing, as I work on many different things as needed.

      @@Shopworx fair enough! I have a service bed that I need to clean up, I really wanted to see how you did the lighting inside the boxes. Maybe a topic for future content? I’m just getting my own channel started, so you may see mine in the future! Thanks for the great content!

      Give me a bit ( a few weeks ) and I'll punch out a little video for you. I ve done a few service bins and have a few commercially made on other trucks. all with different lighting. Never thought of a vid showing the different setups. Once the snow melts.... as some trucks are not in use right now. Up here alot of stuff is seasonal no one is breaking ground due to Frost $$$ between November and May

      @@Shopworx that would be awesome! I love the service bed on my 96 F350. I need to make a video on building it out. It’s just starting to warm up here, racing season is upon us!

      Actually you should have a look at the video where I put lights in the aluminum jobsite trailer.
      th-cam.com/video/IibTiemPbp8/w-d-xo.html
      I am really impressed with the lights themselves as far as mounting and light output. The ones in the blue service body on the bucket truck were cheap and bright but somewhat delicate if you hit them with tools or material.

    Do they tow ok with a car on

    • @Shopworx

      Pulls good. Hauled a ranger full of scrap steel on it, a 9 yard dumpster and a ATV on it behind my 5th wheel RV. Also behind the same travel trailer I haul a 4 seat Yamaha wolverine side by side and a 660 grizzly on this flat deck.
      Just about any trailer will pull good with any load if you know how to position it properly for weight.

    Now thats a nicely built trailer. How heavy is it empty?

    • @Shopworx
      @Shopworx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not sure exactly, Ill try to weigh it out in few weeks empty

    • @Shopworx
      @Shopworx  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Okay. Finally was near a scale almost empty. Appears to be right on 2000 lbs empty and 210lbs of tongue weight but there was a bunch of stuff in the aluminum box.
