I've been a professional welder for over 40 years and I think you are doing a fine job on your trailer. I didn't see any mistakes that were detrimental to your build, and I was watching for them, I admit. You do fine work.

I’m so happy to see an example of trigonometry! I’ve seen so many people say how they learned “nothing about the real world in school, but thank god I can do Pythagorean Theorem.” I’ve used trig for so many different jobs such as machining setups, roof angles, odd shaped furniture, etc. There are so many uses for this kind of math, it really is just up to you to apply them. Thanks Matt for the amazing content!

Matt, I got whisked back to my high school days when you used SOH-CAH-TOA. Way back in 1963 in my trig class, our math book had a cartoon of a Native American wearing a chief headdress with one moccasin removed from his foot. The Indian chief was soaking his foot and wiggling his toes in the cool water of a stream. His name was, you guessed it, Chief SOH CAH TOA! Thanks for that, I'll be smiling all day.

Reason I say that is because using the mig would be so much faster than the stick plus using the stick you have to sweep up the slag and make sure you clean up the user rods or risk getting them in your tires.but I like stick welding too.
