    I wish you would’ve showed a little bit after this, when Henry goes “you know what I would’ve done?” And TapDanceMan replies “not a goddamn thing”
    More often than not, I’ve reflected on the atrocities black people have had to face with this sense of vigilante justice or revenge. But then I’m brought back to the reality that this was a completely powerless ordeal. Hence what happens to Henry later on. This show is amazing

    • @zzirfamo24
      @zzirfamo24 2 ปีที่แล้ว +16

      Not only was it because Henry was tied up tho, back then black people were scared to retaliate even tho at any time they could of started a small army and took over towns. It was fear that kept them from doing anything back, just like Henry was scared for his children cuz they were being threaten too. So he saying “you wouldn’t of don’t a goddamn thing” is because in reality he really wouldn’t of done anything because of the consequences they thought they would get!!

    • @Bmanritchie
      @Bmanritchie 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@enviedeveryday2835 - Dude, make all the white guilt content one can.
      I’m just acknowledging how some black community of viewers ‘are tired’ of black actors being type casted for films/shows like this, and there’re some scenes in this show that I understand are ‘over the top’ in terms of anti-black barbarity.
      Edit: For instance, that ‘cat the bag(?)’ scene still haunts me even more than that rape scene from ‘12 Years a Slave.’

      @@zzirfamo24 - I think that’s due to how established ‘white guilt’ is toward knowing African history within a narrow timeframe and how often such content is crafted. I think there’s roughly a couple or more films/shows made every year, so that amount of content racks up.
