I’ve just found this channel! I’m pretty stable on my OCD journey, but I’m currently in a dating relationship that is REALLY triggering ROCD. This is such a helpful reminder!
Please my ROCD symptoms are gone! I’m fully convinced I don’t want or even love my partner!!!… I am not doing good! I’ve never felt this for him before!! I had clarity moments a few times this month! He got me an adorable valentines card that I really love and held on to. This can’t be happening happening!? I constantly have theses feelings that I don’t love him! Now I believe it! I have no intrusive as much anymore! I just wanna be with him again like before please! I don’t wanna leave! But the I freaked out I’m with him for the wrong reasons….. I rather deal with the anxiety more than anymore!
It does not sound like your OCD and intrusive thoughts are fine at all. You are checking your feelings and seeking certainty about that, which is a symptom of ROCD. It will get worse without treatment. I can help you, click here. myocdcoach.teachable.com.
Did I get too use to feeling this way!? I have no money to get help… I don’t know what to do anymore… even when I still show signs that I love him it’s like I am in denial about it… it’s like I have no interest in him anymore whatsoever…. It makes me very very sad… I don’t wanna be apart from him and then when I say that it’s like I am only staying bc I am use to him….
@@ReshiramMage1992 we all believe our own thoughts, to some extent. If you didn't, you'd just let it go. Those with OCD believe their intrusive thoughts, which is why they have OCD and the thoughts bother them. It's not about the thoughts themselves or whether we believe them, it's about how we react to negative or uncertain thoughts. Certain reactions will make it worse (compulsions), other reactions will make the feelings better and less thoughts in the future (ERP).
I’m crying right now watching this. I’m suffering with this anxiety and I’m always so scared that he’s with someone or talking to someone else. I’m not understanding what to do to deal with my anxiety.
There are several techniques that I can teach you in my programs, but for now you have to realize that you can’t control your partner, but you also can’t continue to hyperfocus on this and worry about it. If your partner has broken your trust in the past, it would be normal to have this fear. If it’s a pattern, meaning it’s happened more than once, Then it would be very normal that your brain is telling you it may happen again. If it’s minor things that anxiety or OCD is blowing up, This can happen too. The key is, no matter what you decide to do, is to stop focusing on it or worrying about it. No one can control what their partner does, and we all have to accept that we don’t know what will happen in our relationship in the future. That being said, we can’t sit and worry about something that’s just going to make us sick. If you’re choosing to stay, choose to accept the uncertainty, but focus on the present moment, including the positives. We have to retrain our brain over and over and over again to gain positive mental health habits. If you need help with this, visit www.myocdcoach.com and join one of our programs that will help you learn more tools and support you through this.
