Congrats. This was originally composed for piano, but as an spanish melody, it was early adapted to be played by guitar. With both instruments this is a beautiful melody.
Beautiful. . . I listen to this (along with a playlist of other guitar music) every night at my grandma's house when I go to bed and play it while I'm sleeping and I always fall asleep soon and sleep very well. 😊❤
Awesome piece. This performance is beyond perfection. I appreciate Segovia for all his transcriptions and mastery however; I listen to the modern performers because of the clarity, the audible recordings are so much better and the interpretation has been a 50 year state of mastery.
*@Jamie Smith.* The first time I heard this incredible piece of music was in a classic Hollywood film, I think from the 1940s, where the scene was in Spain. I was a child and for now I don't recall the movie name, but once I retrieve the film name I will communicate it.
Can I ask how much you practiced this piece before you reached this level of mastery? Its taking me some time to learn but it is steady progress. Excellent playing
@Kevin Enstrom I'm watching your tutorial now, hopefully I wont despair and I will manage to be able to play it as well as you! Great performance as well, it has made certainly improved my day!
Rarely have I seen someone butcher Granados so completely, mercilessly and inexcusably in interpretation. To me, this interpretation is contrary to the very spirit and essence of Spanish music. Yes, one can say nice things and make the player feel good, complain about how bad haters are, go blah blah and so on. But at some point you have to choose if you care more about the music or the player's ego.
There is something mystical about this tune.

Wonderful music, musician and instrument.
My father owns a 2003 model of the Double top. Wonderful and rich tone from this guitar. And such a beautiful performance. Thank you.
Goosebumps!
There is something supernatural about this piece, spine chilling

I really wonder why this piece hasn't been used in film soundtracks. It paints a picture which would do the work of miles of images.
Let’s make it happen!
Yes, It was used if I am not wrong in the wonderful film El Sur by Víctor Erice, check It out It Is realy beautiful
“Johnnnny guitarrrr”

I have to laugh to myself when I listen to pieces like this because I'm so far removed from how good these people are.
Go practice , go ! Go !
What is the fretboard width at 12th fret on this guitar? Seems like a taper is less pronounced along the neck.
nice play
