I'm learning this right now and I was very confused as to how make the whole thing come together. This really helped, so thank you (^^) wonderful performance
Parts of this song remind me of Sting's music, one song in particular where he mentions, "where flesh and steel are one... and I was born beneath an angry star...".
This is a very good presentation. I have played this nearly 40 years. The Violin and Piano together are in my opinion complementary. I first heard this on a 78 record performed by Fritz Kreisler. This record is on TH-cam. This is a dance of Moorish orgin. Both sorrowfull and happy. Light touch and weaves a magical tale of the lands of conflicts ( Chistianity and Islamism) even today. Alexander Fomenko has captured the hart of it.
My mother used to play this so beautifully but with slightly different accenting and slower which I preferred. I suppose interpretation of the phrasing is the prerogative of the player.
I find so many players playing it way too rushed for my liking as well. The opening is tense, playing it quickly takes away from the emotion sometimes and makes it sound more "fun and silly", which I don't think it should...
But where is Spain in all this ? Where is the atmosphere of that arid land, once so rich and now so impoverished YET so so noble. It was just some notes played with russian discipline. Oh dear!
Giving this video a "like" is a little understating. I'd give it its deserved 5 stars in the old rating system! (Why did TH-cam get rid of ratings anyway?)
There are plenty of "Spanish Dances" I am finding out as I try to find one I remember. I went up to grade eight. This one is beautiful and very well played. I'm going to keep it on my list.
im going to an international competition with this piece, this helps me with the dynamics in particular. Thanks so Much!
Good luck!!
Sublime piece and sublime performance. The delicate segment @ 1:12-1:27 is simply the most nostalgic bit of loveliness I think I have ever heard.
That was truly a fantastic performance.

Courage ! I try to play it, too... Very difficult but j'adore !
Do you have it, now ! How much time ?
@@sophiesophie4496 if you think it's hard on the piano, be thankful you don't have to play it on the guitar.
I'm the same!

Absolutely love it.
Dude looks like Einstein, too; gotta love that.
Sorry, what? The translation made no sense whatsoever. “I wonder what if? I suddenly remembered it and wanted to listen to it! Ah, this this!”
It's a shame this video hasn't been viewed as much as others. This is a very artistic, beautiful performance of this piece!
Beautiful music. Almost makes me weep.
Maravillosa interpretación. Gracias
The music that inspire legendary song, Johnny Guitar.

Passionate and nostalgic; movement and memory.
Thank you, FomenkoPiano, for uploading this video.
An excellent performance and camera placed perfectly.

Tastefully played - it needs to be more lagato on the piano than on the guitar. A simply fabulous performance.

I don't know if I'll ever be able to play that well. :P
1980
does anybody has the original sheets for this piece?
Andaluza, preciosa y magistral pieza de Isaac Albéniz, Excelente y soberbia interpretación. Bravo maestro....
It was composed by Enrique Granados, not Isaac Albéniz.
Yes, very nice. But I like it much better on the guitar. I think the guitar gives the true spirit or quality of the song.
what is the URL of this video
GRACIAS
weird, but it sounds way better on guitar
sounds better in piano than it does with guitar
Wilson Angela Perez Eric Lewis Maria
Keith Nadja Francis
My fingers turn into mush when I play this

Does anyone know what film this is off?

Mr. Fomenko, are you Russian or Ukrainian ?
Better on guitar
Not melancholic enough
It's not Spanish dance
+Meseret Ephram ??? why did you say that ??
it's probably not a music for dancing but this artwork is considered like this among the work of granados
oath to God its a spanish dance
