It's amazing when a guitar arrangement sounds like it was originally written for the guitar as opposed to just a transcription. This arrangement and performance has accomplished this admirably!
This is surely the finest classical guitar playing you will ever hear. The arrangement of Bach's famous toccata and fugue is astonishing, and the performance is fantastic.
Those people are obviously crazy! This is one of Bach’s best work. And played on a nylon string classical guitar is super impressive. I would give anything to play this on my guitar right now! Lol And these people that thumbed down this video either it was too hard for them to play or it’s not their type of music, they just done realize that if it wasn’t for classical music they wouldn’t have their music they like today. Have to respect the classics! This is such an amazing and awesome performance with incredible talent.
Edson Lopez is my guitar hero. After Edson comes John Williams and Andres Segovia. His performances are played with the ease of a master and they give me immense joy. Edson is just as amazingly, a generous man. He offers music for free, a library of perfectly transcribed guitar pieces from the repertoire. His transcriptions are of the highest quality, I agree with 99% of his LH fingerings. Bless you. Edson is a modern day Segovia, in that he promotes classical guitar and accessibility to it, through his love for the instrument. Edson, Thank You for who you are all you do. Hero.
Excellent choice, to honour Charly Garcia, because he has been very important to Argentina and Uruguay. Chatly was in his youth a rocker and a baladist, and his clips and songs were important for us. Highest respects to Maestro Edson Lopez. Let's not forget however that this is one of the most beautiful pieces of music created by humans. Mr. Lopez himself confirms that every second of his magnificent performance
Edson Lopes your Toccata and Fugue is perfection, you have a brilliant God given talent without emotional passion you can't succeed, you have to be one of the greatest guitarists around, in my opinion always a listening pleasure, thanks for putting these podcasts on You-Tube for us lesser mortals to enjoy.
So beautiful... you can hear and appreciate every note in the score; nothing gets glossed over or hidden. Amazing.
J.S. would kiss him on the lips if he saw this. It's insane and I'll never tire of hearing him play this song, which was never meant for guitar, but sounds so right by one individual.
Thank you for the millions of practice hours put in to develop such perfect techniques....
Ein einfach perfektes Spiel
Mr. Lopes,
I'm glad your post came into my thread. Your personal sound touched my eyes, and then my ears, and my spirit. You have awakened something in me with your special attention.
Thank you❤️🔥🙏❤️🔥
The absolute superlatives of sperperlatives, bringing tears to the eyes to this 75 year old guitar playing man. Thank you so much 🇬🇧
Absolutely perfect! ❤ It is hard to imagine what amount of practise this level of performance requires. Thank you!
B * L * O * W * N A * W * A * Y. I must know more. What an amazing arrangement for guitar, and beautifully executed with such precision.
An almost impossible rendition of this piece of music. I can't express how good that I thought that was. Thank you.
On organ, yes... but with this man and and a guitarr.... HELL YES! I'm so amazed!
This is a demonstration of ekstraordinaire skill and of Bachs superiority as a composer!
he wrote this when he was 18 ffs
@@licencetoswill young rebel, that is why it sounds as heavy metal
It's amazing when a guitar arrangement sounds like it was originally written for the guitar as opposed to just a transcription. This arrangement and performance has accomplished this admirably!
This is surely the finest classical guitar playing
you will ever hear. The arrangement of Bach's famous toccata and fugue is astonishing, and the performance is fantastic.
It sounds so incredibly crisp when played on a guitar... I just love this masterpiece regardless of the instrument it is played on
Totally amazing - a consummate virtuoso, I feel it was a absolute privilege to listen to you. Thank you so much Sir.
BRASILEIRO?!?!?!?!!
It's Totally ridiculous how anyone can give this talent a thumbs down ! It is Just Brilliant! Thank you Edson :)
The last time white is called black and black is called white.
I think that was people without talent :)
That’s why nobody did.
Maybe you should be more concerned with what you think and less concerned with what others think.
It is one of the best performances of all time. I didn’t realize this piece was possible on a guitar.
How he manages to play in such beautiful projection and sublime tone and clarity it's just beyond my comprehension. MAESTRO!
Genius!!!! Bravissimo!!!! So artistic!!! I loved to hear it. Doing that with 6 strings is incredible!!!
Hero.
Thank You so Much
Excellent choice, to honour Charly Garcia, because he has been very important to Argentina and Uruguay. Chatly was in his youth a rocker and a baladist, and his clips and songs were important for us. Seru Giran was a fusion band that deserves to be known. Seminare was part of its repertoire. Paul, very good!
This is amazing its like being in the paradise
I have never head this "traditional masterpiece" played on a guitar. Did J.S.B know what would happen? Edson Lopes knew ! Thank you!
A magnificent performance, perfect in every way. You set the bar Sir.
Grand respect !
Et avec autant de sensibilité 😍
heavenly played by a almost celestial angel. wow is best describing word I can think of Sir, thank you so much, if it wasn't for the internet we wouldn't hear your great musical genius.
I’ve long thought of that as Bach’s masterpiece. I never thought a guitar performance of it could be so hypnotic. Thank you.
Excellent rendition.
Until I heard this I would not thought it possible to create the same satisfying effect of this massively theatrical musical work on the guitar. Thank you !
This is why I love the Guitar so much. Even tho I cannot play this!
