I'm sixty one, and started on classical guitar, learning some Bach and Fernando Sor, in school in 8th grade. Played for a couple of years, and had to give up the struggle, as didn't have it in me. And my goodness, that thick vol 1 2 & 3 (I think) of scales to practice, I kinda shyed (SP?)😒 away from. I still have the guitar and I strum occasionally those nylon strings, but haven't restrung it for long while, and now left with the seemingly unbreakable G string (but of course it's not the original!). Hats off to those that really can and do play that instrument!
43:30 This is absolutely beautiful. I like the more dramatic and dark pieces, because i think the classical guitar has a lot of potential there, and this is just perfect. Ill take it.
@@AreEnTee True, this piece should be played one and a half times slower! To be honest, at such a pace, the performer ruined everything, all the expressiveness.
I’m merely repeating what everyone has been saying here. But what a collection of musicians, beautiful music and vast rare guitars. What a treat on every level. Thank you for this compilation!
12:19 im gonna start learning this piece soon an i really hope i dont need those long fingers to master it. At least segovia's shorter fingers serve as some reassurance😬
if you have no long fingers esp. have no long little fingers, you'd better give up playing classic guitar! a short fingered-player's miserable experience...
@@yorktee9781 unless you have really tiny hands its entirely possible. It Might take some more work, you might not become the best guitarist, but its entirely possible to become proffesional. I have relatively small hands and i have yet to encounter something that is impossible to play.
Sor is my favorite. Hands down. What a special guitarist. If you search Daniel Hake Classical Guitar, I have some new Sor posted. TH-cam or Rumble. I'm no Sor, but hold down his work fairly well. Enjoy.
Daniel Hake classical guitar on TH-cam. I'm admittedly not at the level of this guy. But I play outdoors in the woods and it adds a natural sound, possibly similar to Sor, who performed prior to cars, cell phones, and aircraft.
Suurin Vanhin Mies Ask your teacher to identify each of the pieces and then buy them. I know that you want it for nothing but Siccas ain't gonna give you jack for nothing. The good news is that all of the pieces are intermediate grading at most so they won't be hugely expensive to buy, and they're all by Sor so you might find many, if not all, in a "Complete works for Fernando Sor" or something similar. Best of British to you in your quest to find some of the most boring intermediate classical guitar repertoire ever. Some pieces are ok and I've got the dots for at least four of them but much of it is "elevator music" - (imo). Sor wrote so much better pieces than that shown here.

Fernando Sor was an ancestor on my moms side. I wish i could say we all played guitar as well, or at all.
All beautiful, all good, all Sor.
What a prodigy.
Merci beaucoup pour cette interpretation❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉

Interesting, I play this song in a really different way. This is also interesting on classic guitar: the interpretation matters

Excellent pieces, especially for the first artist - cleanest, with such amazing soul. I can hear her. Thank you!

How poetic are hands and arms of guitarists when they move them! And how is beautiful is guitar sound listening it in his simplicity!

Thank you thank you Siccas. What a superb idea to present us with such a collection to help the "innocents" like myself experience a range of talents.
Andante Op.5 absolute masterpiece! Somewhat melancholic but from arcadic place.
An excellent selection - I discovered new things in Sor's work!
What a wonderful collection of performances. Hats off to you all and in particular Fernando Sor. He'd be so honoured by all your dedication.
This was absolutely breathtaking
Wonderful! Thank you so much!
What a wonderful production - and I get it for free...with ads, of course. hehe 🤣😇

Es cierto. Como Fernando Sor no hubo ninguno.
I think if Sor is another Beethoven in the classical guitar world, so Bach in guitar world is Gulliani Mauro
