Story Summary :-
Op is an aspiring actress in the big city, surviving paycheck to paycheck with her best friend Ivy. When Ivy asks her to accompany her to a funeral of a great aunt she decides to go, even though she knows no one there. All she knows is that Ivy cut off her family a long time ago because of how toxic they are. At the funeral, the great aunt’s husband keeps on looking at her. When she is about to leave, he calls her by her mother’s name. She assumes it is one of her mother’s clients. However, later that evening, he shows up at her grandmother’s house with a shocking revelation, he is her grandfather. It appears he had an affair with her grandmother years ago. He says that since his wife has passed away, he wants to do right by them and take care of them. So Op, her mom, and her grandmother move in with them. The results are catastrophic, as the whole family refuses to accept them. They feel that they threaten their rights to the fortune. What follows are months of sabotage as family members try to ruin Op and her mom’s lives. One of those schemes leads to Op finding her biological father, who is her drama teacher. This revelation leads her to have a mental breakdown. Her grandfather puts his foot down and decides to disown all the family members who rejected Op and her mom. He gives his fortune to Op and her mom and kicks his family members out.
