I kept thinking why does OP never force her husband to be checked...and did the 1st doctor keep stuff from her? They should lose their license.
Not telling the husbands operation is one thing, but either they purposfully misdiagnosed OP or her husband gave her hormones (aka drugged her) before every apointment!

As a medical professional you legally CAN'T tell another person, even their spouse or parent, etc., the details of their medical information. HIPAA. Even if you know a person with HIV is having unprotected sex, all you can do is encourage them to be honest with everyone. However, lying to OP about her could get his license pulled.
@@tracyperez1755 Precisely. That's why I figured OP should have forced her husband to take the test MUCH SOONER. Of course the testing facility can't tell OP the results either, but she's his wife and at that point she has to twist his arm behind his back until either it breaks or he spills the beans.

She dodged a major bullet with chaotic and toxic family. Her husband is a spineless jellyfish for not having her back plus he lied to her about having a vasectomy to begin with. As someone who is childfree, the man is a selfish oaf. You don't try to drag someone into your ideal version of a life when they want the complete opposite. You also don't live a lie, allowing the person you claim to love to catch the flack for it.

Glad OP got out of the relationship. The section 2 were husband stayed at a friend's over night the next day had me wondering if he was with the ex. Now I'm sure he was, he was probably cheating on OP the whole time as he knew he could never get the affair partners pregnant. Hope she finds a decent guy in the future.

The issue is not really about having children. If the husband was honest from the get-go they would've had the chance to get to some compromise, adopting, IVF with donated material, or compromising on not having children, but this guy let his wife think she was the problem while he knew she wasn't also let her be berated by her MIL for something he knew it was on him. TBH she should've gone to the mom papers in hand and thrown them at her and tell her "You told me I wasn't woman enough but it turns out your son is just half a man, congrats on getting him back, I'm glad your bloodline ends with him as you'll NEVER be a grandmother "

I had suspected that Nick was hiding something if her doctors never found anything wrong with her to where she couldn't get pregnant, and it was either he had a vasectomy or had low sperm count. But I will say what he did was despicable. Why waste OP's life when he knew he didn't want kids. He has a right to his life choice, but it's wrong not to disclose that information to a potential partner.
I'm clueless about the phrase, "but I still love him/her" There would be a locked door, she'd never spend the night in my house. I fault your husband, because if he had any any, he'd tell her his boundaries. He seems to have none. No, Not always reversible. If I found out my hubby had one up front, it might have been a deal breaker, but to find out he had AND DIDN'T TELL ME? After Years of trying, and the BS from his mom? H**L NO!! GET OUT!! My Hubby And I had 2 Beautiful kids, girl 1st, then Boy 2nd. This was how he proposed "I want to name our daughter after you, baby, what do you think?" He said this to me literally right after Being intimate. I told him that I wanted A girl and A boy, but would try at least 3 times. If we ended up with 3 girls OR 3 boys, then that was it. I had my tubes tied the same day my son was born.

My parents couldn't get pregnant again for years. They had my sister in their early 20s and wanted another baby. Told they wouldn't be able to and blah blah blah. They took a vacation 12 years later and got away from work and bills and just life for 2 weeks. And guess who was born 9 months later???? ME!!!! I know that doesn't apply to this story but when you calm down and go on vacation and not thinking about getting pregnant happens usually makes it a lot easier to get pregnant.
