@@FoodServiceDriver yeah I’m starting with McLane tomorrow is orientation and I wanted to know what to expect coming in here with 3 years experience some delivery experience and also hope your still grinding do you still work at McLane? And lastly I’m starting in the Newnan ga terminal delivering to the Carolinas they said I get a hotel for the reset just wanted to know if u had any additional info you can provide as I start this new journey ?
@ well as your going through orientation it’s going be pretty simple then afterwards your going to be in training for a couple of weeks depending on how you pick up the pace & then afterwards you’ll be able to be cut loose on your own and do your own delivery. I would say just pay attention to your trainers and ask allot of questions if you don’t get it because if you don’t get it your going be stuck out here…but make the best of it man you’ll like it over at McLane. Naw I’m not there no more but I’m still grinding out here

Man I can wait to start working at mclane, I just turned 21 the beginning of October and got my CDL couple days ago and now I got an interview with Mclane next week I hope everything goes good.
@@FoodServiceDriver update- they got my drug test results and told me they’re just waiting for my background check, how long did the background check take for you bc I have no patience 😂😂

Got hired at Mclane in NJ about 2 weeks ago. Came from a year of otr drivjng. Did my ride along last week wasn’t bad. I’m 25 come from an athletic background. In the driver trainee program. Go on my first route tonight ✊
I’m in the process of trying to get on at the Mclane in Forest Park,GA bro…hope to link with you once I get on so you can share more game on food service industry
I worked McLane Foodservice 13 years. Left in 2006 and do you know if they don’t hire over a certain age? I know back in the early 2000s they tried to not hire over 40.
honestly i think things have definitely changed because we have guys that’s over 50years old and older and they’re still working here running up & down the ramp
@@genesismotorcyclegod they should since you have a class A. But if you have no experience they’re probably going make you gain some experience on the yard
Will mclane hire me if I live 2 hours away with traffic or 80 miles away from the terminal? Do you know is there a certain distance you have live within
usually they don’t care about that all depends on you really but if it becomes a problem where they might need you and you can’t show up because you stay too far then it would affect you i have some people who live 2-3 hours away from the job and work where we work at but they have to it we where they don’t have to be at work all the time
@@FoodServiceDriver okay yeah I have my cdl but don’t have any experience but the mclane in Athens Ga has a driver trainee program I’m 2 hours away but I’ll deal with it to get some good money and training
solo basically means your doing the route by yourself or you would go on a 2 day solo route. sometimes you won’t get a helper on a local so they’ll tell you that your going go on it solo
Most easily place to deliver. You have a lift gate and you brake down the pallet for cooler and freezer and bring it in the store and as for the dry you just push the pallet in the door and drop it and leave that's it!
