cant believe ive gotten to a point in my life where I watch videos of a guy mowing the lawn.

It takes a special person to be proud of the work they do. I can see you have that in your heart to do so. You have done a wonderful job mowing that lawn. I am 70 now, once did the same as you, but never had your kind of equipment. It is still very hard work. When you get older, the old body wears down real easy. Take good care of your feet, in good shoes. Keep the videos coming, they bring back many memories, that I can now set back and watch. Bless You.

That was a very nice comment. My Dad past away when I was 6, I'm 48 now but I still remember him saying the most important thing to do was take care of your feet. You can go cheap on certain things but always make sure you have good shoes
Enjoyed this stream no end welldone excellent job, Reminds me of days spent as groundsman, Always took great pride in my work in a Hospital gardens, Even though the pay was low and looked down by the public, At 70years old, I still have fond memories of being out in the fresh air and the wildlife!! That's easy on a small yard. I have an acre to mow and it would take me days to pick up all of the clippings like this. As long as you mow weekly the clippings will naturally decompose. It's actually good for your lawn.

I remember my family and I had left home to spend last time with my grandma before she passed and we were gone for 5 months, came back and someone had freshly mowed the lawn. Still don’t know till this day who mowed it for us lol was it you Sam?

Finally someone who’s not afraid to use a rake! Most of the videos I’ve seen, the yard maintenance men mow and mow and mow to try and get the clippings down. Good Job!
It depends on the costumer. If they don't want to pay for the greenwaste then the mowerman mulches the gras. He gives the grass a kind of food by doing that.
Why do something if it’s not paid for? Some costumers don’t care for grass clippings in the yard some just want it to be spread around not visible some want it bag so don’t give a shit.

You are right, Luis. The majority of lawn service workers do not understand the integrity of a job well done. When you service a lawn, you always do the best job possible (unless of course it upsets your clientele for some reason). In the long run, a strong customer relationship is the secret to having repeat patrons (and adding new ones). Picking up that single discarded leaf that a regular lawn company would have left behind is the attention to detail that makes people happy.
All it takes to be a professional, is to do what you do professionally. It may require time and effort, but what better way is there to spend you time and effort. Nice work Oklahoma, you're a pro.
Im glad you made this video the way you did. I also do yards and I often find myself comparing to TH-cam lawn care always showing its "perfect the first time" you've inspired me even more to know that all the time im spending really pays off.

I was thinking the same thing. I wish my hard cleaned up like that. It makes me wonder if there is a sad story behind this. I could see an elderly parent that takes meticulous care of the grass pass away and the lawn just didn't get mowed for a few months.

Great job! It’s your attention to detail and willingness to rake the debris up that made me want to subscribe. I see others who mow round and round, “mulching” the grass. Yes,that will work if the grass is short, but you get these overgrown lawns and theres just too much debris. They settle in the yard and make dead spots. Don’t want to rake? Use a grass catcher. You did this yard correctly!

So many of these guys who cut lawns throw the cut away grass and dirt roots back into the lawn. This only makes it look dirty instead of nice green cut lawn. You cleaned all away and the lawn looked really nice. Keep up the good work.
That really could be a beautiful lawn with proper care and maintenance. It’s really thick with very little weeds. Shame they let it get so overgrown.

I'm not a lawn expert but the sun couldn't get to the ground level grass to burn it so nice and green at ground level. Once it's cut down the sun could burn it and turn it brown. Just a thought

Bravo, this is the only guy I have ever seen on YT actually removes the grass from a neglected lawn. Everyone else simply "mulches" it in. Take note people, this is an actual professional. Keep up the hard work.

Nah it takes to much time no one will notice it driving by and by mulching it usually covers the bad areas its just dumb to waist your time cutting a small peace then bagging it pluse then he gotta go throw that away in the dump and he dosnt get paid for driving there pluse he used to much equipment he should of cut then finished the rest

I may be the odd one out, but if I was the neighbor on the right side of the house, I would just mow all the way to the driveway. It only takes a few extra minutes. Plus, it makes the yard look better too
We used to do this when we lived in a duplex. Our neighbors had just had their first baby. We didn’t want them having to worry about the yard when they were trying to figure out parenthood. And they did the same for us when hubby and I were down with the flu one year. It’s called being neighborly :)
I did this once when a neighbor’s lawn was getting tall and he chewed my ass out. People are weird
We used to do it because it was just as easy to take 2 extra swipes with the mower. Then when we skipped one time doing it because mower ran out of gas the guy got mad because we didn’t do it. He just started taking it for granted. He used a few swear words too many and we never did it again. We’ve since moved and now have wonderful neighbors. Everyone goes the extra mile to help each other out.
