I’m a retired firefighter. This video reminded me of the time our crews responded to a heart attack call, which a man had while mowing his yard. The ambulance crew took care of him, and other firefighters finished mowing his yard for him.

This is true. I purchased a property in this type of neighborhood once ( l didnt last long there… but that’s a whole other story) Anyway, I heard a story of local utility workers having cops actually standby & watch while they did work in the area. It is pretty pitiful that some ignorant people that like causing trouble would even make that a necessity but it shouldn’t be used a reason to stop workers from coming in to make an area safe and habitable for the other folks forced to live in those types of areas

If the city fears for the safety of its workers in that area, you need to ask why? I imagine there have been incidents of violence that lead to this. Behave better people and you won't receive this kind of reaction. Al is brave, but even he needed a "bodyguard ".

Sometimes problems get out of hand before people realize that it is a problem and it becomes more than they can handle. Now that they know the problem the overgrowth can cause, since they obviously take care of their own lawns, they can do a little extra and one or more of them can make certain that area along the sidewalk does not get that way again.
The solution to most problems requires knowing what the problem is in the first place. Now they know and they can easily prevent the problem from occurring again.
