- Lawnster has mowed some pretty overgrown lawns over the years but nothing like what you'll see in this video. We mowed the worst lawn we've ever seen in 20 years for free to help out a family who hadn't seen their yard cleared in ages. When we found this yard, the owners only had one week left to get it mowed before they were going to get fined $500 by the city.
This was a tough mow and we were exhausted at the end but being able to help out these folks as well as help beautify the neighborhood makes it all worth it. Overgrown lawns can't stop Lawnster from getting the job done and making things green and clean!

God bless you! It is great what you do. I’m 76 years old with bad knees, my husband is a Vietnam Veteran, he is 100% combat disabled. And now has colon cancer. He still cuts our grass. I hope these people know how wonderful it is to have someone like you.

The yard looks fantastic and what a wonderful thing that the neighbor brought you all something to drink and yet the lazy boy on the porch did not provide something cold to drink. He also not clean the porch and he should have instead of watching you all work. I would hate to see the inside of that house. I bet inside the house is as filty as the outside and both father and son are 2 healthy people but lazy that why I do not eat from everyone if your yard is filty best believe that the inside is also filty

We used to think that about my grandparents' neighbor. We found out sometime later that the man had a fatal heart condition, which he later died from.
We just don't know what's going on in peoples lives, do we...🤷

Your heart needs to be in it because people like that will make you angry and resentful. You must be a cheerful giver. That type of labor really needs to be pressing on you to give like that. Most people would have been fussing about him sitting there and not, at best, cleaning his own trash. Those men are blessed to be a blessing, and treating people with such kindness and respect is a beautiful thing. What you have done for others, you have also done for Him.

@@LawnsterMowing With all due respect (and I do respect your work), if you make it easier for the people who created the problem keep on creating the problem (my sister takes the mower and doesn't bring it back for weeks (and we don't go get it back ourselves - and never mind that there's more than "weeks" neglect there - so that's a BS excuse regardless), then you are among those enabling the problem.

I must admit when I was watching I got frustrated that there were capable people at the house that let the lawn get so out of control. but you never know what is going on with people and this world needs more people with the attitude of 'we help whoever needs it'. @@optiskeptic4746 You never know what has happened in peoples lives by just looking at them. The state of their yard shows that for whatever reason, they needed some support to get on top of it again. Lets face it though, if it wasn't for people whose yards are messy, then we wouldn't get to watch these transformations. So its a win win for us all. I personally have hope for this family. The son looked so happy. Now he can see what is possible and its much more manageable for them. I hope he enjoys his barbecue.

@@LawnsterMowing Actually, that guy needed the $500 incentive fine to learn to make an effort to keep his yard mowed. That would have been the better long-term option for the neighborhood. Some people do need a kick in the pants. If the guy has time to sit their and drink beers, he has the time to mow his grass at least once a month.

My goodness what a jungle out there!! That doesn't say much about the people who live there. They look capable of doing all that it needs to keep their area clean. They have a mower; they just need to keep it at home. You two look like a good couple of men to take care of this yard & now it can breathe. God bless you for taking it upon yourselves to clean up this property. What a transformation!! Most people would have taken one look at that jungle & walked away. But the two of you got it done. I don't wish to be negative, however the young man on the porch could take 5 or 10 minutes and pick up trash on front porch and have a trash can there instead of throwing on the ground 😞🤨

Yeah, like around 42:00 to 43:00 it's almost 25ft long
Maybe now that the grass is cut, the homeowner will go get some bags of dirt and fill in the trench in the yard!!!

When you're mowing near your partner or near obstacles, like the vehicle in the driveway, there is a flip gate made by Ballard you might want to check into that goes on the mower deck discharge. It might save you some headaches from shrapnel, especially when cutting properties that you can't always see what is hidden from view. It also might help save you some time once you've done your first or second cut to mulch up the cuttings.

Great Job I am retired /disabled but i still cut grass for lake cottages next to my home not only that but i am keeping a eye on them in the off season most of them go south for winter I don't charge them to do that as most of them are in there 80's and don't have much money .Keep it green & clean .great video .

Came here to say this same thing! NO ONE knows what people are dealing with in their lives (loss, illness, mental health struggles etc) We should stop judging them because we don't know if something brought them to this point or what they're dealing with!
Total BS. If you are too sorry or physically unable and you can afford the property, then you can sure as Hell at least hire someone to do weekly or bi weekly mowing. It does not get this bad in one single year. So, no matter what is going on in their lives, they need to suck it up and get their butts in gear. Everybody suffers tragedies, but everybody is not this sorry.
My husband could definitely use this this to keep our yard green and clean!

Incredible makeover! The meticulous pruning and trimming of the excessively grown vines, bushes, and trees is truly admirable. It’s refreshing to see everything neatly trimmed and cleared away from the house. The precision in mowing and edging is also commendable. Great job. The owner is a real treat. I have cancer and I edge and cut the grass twice a week.
Depends on the type of cancer and the treatments involved. My wife has been battling cancer for years, and while she does have good days, there are many that aren’t so good. Now I’ll agree that young man could’ve been a lot more helpful as he demonstrated sufficient dexterity and energy, the older fella can’t be judged on the limited data provided on him. But good luck on your treatments and I’m very happy that you’ve still got the energy to take care of yourself. May God bless us all. 🙏

@@tauiwi 100% agree with the sloth assertion for the son. I just don’t have enough data to make the same assertion for dad. We saw him sitting for just a few seconds. While one can extrapolate he may be lazy based upon the sons behavior and the described behavior of the daughter, it’s not any kind of actual proof. We don’t know all the facts, so I’d rather reserve judgement than come across as overly harsh. It’s nice to see the yard transform tho! Lord knows life is unfair already and it’s nice to see some goodness when it does occur. And I apologize if I came across as if I were trying to make it a competition, that was never my intent. You can rake & bag or drag cut limbs or just sort & clear away anything cluttering the yard. Show your gratitude in deeds, not just words. 😉

New subscriber here and fan! I normally do not post on these, i just watch but after reading some of the comments, I cant resist. A couple of things are wrong here. FIrst, everyone saying people are lying saying they dont get paid to do this. They are not thinking it through. The "homeowner" doesn't pay them so they aren't lying. also, its a gamble when they post these videos as they may not get any views to make any money from. Secondly, yall criticize Andrew and Austin or how they are mowing. Well I agree weed eating tends to workout better when done first however, in this case, with grass this high i would have done it exactly how they did it in order to make sure there wasn't any surprises. Finally, I agree the father/son could have helped instead of having a drink fest, but do you know what their situation is? they may have some conditions that does not allow them to do the yard work. Yes, laziness may be one but i step-daughter is allergic to grass, so she cant mow her own yard. Maybe it was easier saying the sister had the lawnmower versus going into huge details. Sorry for the long comment but people, before bashing someone or a company for doing a good dead, think outside the box.

I know I am a month late in watching this. Don’t know how I missed it since I have been a long time subscriber but here goes. You 2 men are to be commended on your selfless act of kindness to this family. We don’t know the circumstances and it should not matter. The point is you two took a day out of your lives and transformed this property in a way no one else would have done. I did lawn maintenance, landscaping, etc,all my life and we always,before mowing, walk and pick up trash, witch is why I trim first,as I pick up trash,dog shit before I mow and yes,i walk the property 1st,every time
