if anyone is trying to learn tracer and you think you aren’t doing enough remember on tracer you don’t have to get kills you can try distracting enemy supports by getting them to turn around and stop their healing (which could distract the tank too) or poke the tank from behind so they can’t really rank for the team
maybe you get kills or maybe not by doing that but you’ll directly be killing the whole team by stopping heals or stopping tanking
Like even at the end 15:25 he gets them off robot which stalls time for the team to contest when they make contact

I play support and when there is a tracer fighting us our team never turns around
either you get a pick and it becomes a 4v5 or one of the other teammates turns around to help and it becomes a 3v4 for the rest of the team. The only situation where tracer really doesnt get value is if people ignore you and you still cant get a kill.
just distracting multiple people and giving your team an easier fight is huge value and literally requires nothing except be annoying as hell. killing is great but people thinking tracer is the same as sombra are goofy

I understood this early on and it caused me to keep playing her instead of getting demotivated and switching
as a Tracer main with 1000+ hours on her, it's good to see another person trying to get to know her and feel out her kit. definitely not the easiest character and requires a lot of skill. keep up the good vids man!

I have played close to a thousand hours of Overwatch, but it was not until picking up and maining Tracer last season that I truly appreciated cover
Also, triple blinking in and rewinding WITHOUT throwing your pulse bomb is fine if you don't see a 7/10+ target. You can wait 10 seconds and try it again
I love her BECAUSE of how hard she is. Different strokes for different folkes.

I've just binged watched a lot of these videos to look at the other perspective on a lot of these characters that feel bad to play against. (Like Widow or Hanzo because of the capability to one shot) but because of these videos I have now been convinced that the skill required to play a lot of these hero's makes it a deserved, even if losing to it doesn't feel right.
Also: I think I will play some of the characters myself (for the same amount of time) to understand how much they need to do to kill me, and to get better at playing around them.

for me, the high risk high reward playstyle paired with the interesting movement makes tracer worth playing. Playing her is just fun for me, albeit I'm more of a casual player.
Tracer's not much of a high risk high reward hero, she's low risk higher reward imo

Given that most of the roster can 1 or 2 shot kill her, survival isn't as easy as people think it is lol. Kiriko and illari make for tough prey sometimes lol

hey tracer main here not trying to be rude or anything just trying to give some tips if you ever or anyone tries this again, blink management is key you should always at least have 1.5 blinks on you during a fight or have 1 so you can escape if you get into a tricky situation, and another thing is you should use your recall as a second life/get out of jail free card because your recall will determine if you play either aggressive or safe because of tracer's small health pool, and one last thing is memorize where the health packs are around the map because with tracer's squirmy playstyle and you not always being able to retreat towards your support for heals it is key to memorize health pack placement around the maps

Tracer is my main and I’m really good but sometimes it’s so hard having no healers with her hp
The way you said that really makes it seem like a playstyle issue. Tracer should literally almost never rely on her healers for healing. You use health packs and play around your recall
What rank are you playing in? High elo tracers rely on health packs to fight around
Health packs, know the maps by heart and fight around them.
@@bradhensarling9006it’s a bit of both tbh. Like sometimes when ur trying to get out you need healing, or if ur just on an off angle. Also tougher on sniper maps where their seem to be less health packs you can play around. Or against Sombra

As someone who just picked up tracer this is useful for me- but I feel the pain on cassidy's hinders- they're my worst nightmare
As a tracer main she's hella fun to play with before I even started playing the game I knew she was gonna be the one I main because of her quickness, I knew my role with her was to be annoying with the flanks and clean up any near death I see

Just recently started playing her. Currently at around 9 hours playtime as a Low masters/ high diamond player and I feel amazing when I feel like I know how I should be playing. It's insanely fun. I play mostly quick play now, but I still feel like it works out:)

Most underrated TH-camr I’ve seen in a while
i got so many hours on tracer it’s crazy i peaked 4500 on ow1 and rn im top 150 on dps it’s just about game sense knowing what to do and what to expect from the enemy
The main thing that separates good tracers from bad tracers other than mechanics and gamesense is cooldown usage. You constantly used 3 blinks for unnecessary plays. A nice rule to follow is:
Blink 1 - free
Blink 2 - dodge abilities/shot (often 180 from them)
Blink 3 - emergencies
I personally don't think triple blinking for a pulse is worth unless it kills 2+. It is not a worth trade and playing for uptime is the easiest way to climb. Just staying alive and being annoying is definitely more worth than constantly trying to trade

I feel like Tracers pulse bomb should have a hinder effect like Cassidy’s grenade. The fact a base ability can cancel fade/wraith/recall and an ultimate that’s harder to hit can’t do that is kinda messed up. I could also be biased considering I have 500+ hours on her

I'd say that's a part of the fun of tracer, she's challenging compared to the other heroes that's one of the main reasons why I main her,on top of that one thing i do to ignore the sweatiness and stress is to always keep a cool mind, but that's just me ig
i been tryna learn her on console ain’t been on ranked bc my team is gone rn but i’ve been doing good in qp i understand alot but then i don’t sometimes i’m doing amazing then you have me forgetting my cooldowns or dashing off maps😭 at first i was bad with her but after a couple days forcing myself to get better i did just not the bomb man i land it here and there but overall i feel when my team comes back i will do good
