- I made an Out of Context Mobile Suit Gundam video by taking 1 second from every episode of Mobile Suit Gundam, Zeta Gundam, and Double Zeta Gundam, and then compiling them into a funny video. It is very out of context. It also features very many famous Gundam moments, like the Bright Slap and the Exploding Monkey from Zeta Gundam. The original title of this video totally wasn’t “1 second from every episode of Gundam” or anything like that. Anyways, enjoy the funnies, my buttermilk biscuits :)

Honestly it was a breath of fresh air for me cause I watched 0079 and Zeta back to back right before ZZ, and I could feel it starting to get kind of edgy, that first half of ZZ where it was focused on character development and goofy ahh was definitely one of the highlights of my Gundam binge, and it made the transition back to everyone dying way more effective

After I saw the scene for this, I showed this particular episode of ZZ to a friend of mine who grew up in a Muslim-majority country and he told me the prayers were accurate.
He said it sounded to him that they literally used a recording for this scene.

As someone who’s only read about the Gundam UC series released before Unicorn, watching this compilation taught me that 1)The series has way more slapping and punching (that may or may not involve Bright) than what anything post Unicorn lead me to believe. 2) Kamille isn’t just a hot headed kid who frequently gets into fights, he is especially a chronic puncher who even punches tables. 3) Judau is truly as goofy as official artwork made him out to be.
But the most hilarious bit in this compilation imo is the dude twirling the gun, but the gun suddenly breaks apart. xD

The classic shows are very much worth watching, I enjoyed them immensely even when I got burnt out.

@@peppermillers8361yeah the classics are great. I’m someone who came aboard when wing premiered in the US and had seen some MSG, 0083, 8th MS and G Gundam only. After I went to Japan, saw the original film trilogy and watched CCA (both on Netflix) I saw zeta, loved it, saw ZZ, actually enjoyed it, watched 0080 and 0083 while watching MSG in episode format and really gained a new level of appreciation for it as a whole. The animation in Zeta is better sure but 0079 is no worse animated than the original dragon ball and the plots and battle tactics are as deep as any Gundam. The trilogy is well done but it misses so much that I’d recommend it as a starter but think everyone should come back and watch the original in full at least after getting to CCA.
F91 is short but it and Victory are harder to watch. Once I get through the original AU trilogy I’m really looking forward to Turn A, then think I’ll do 00 and whatever seems good from the retrospective TH-cam channel.
@orphenocou4742 I was lucky enough to start from the original series due to a recommendation.
The animation in 79 has a messy history, but when it can be very good at times. When it's bad, it's hilarious and adds to the enjoyment for me.
I personally enjoyed F91 and Victory. F91 is a rushed mess, but it still has great animation and fights, and Victory is surprisingly the first 50-episode Gundam series where I didn't get burnt out. It's not great, but I will deem it good, I prefer ZZ over Victory.
@@peppermillers8361 yeah it’s not that I haven’t enjoyed Victory, it’s that it’s shockingly depressing. Like I knew what to expect from Zeta going in and it was still great. Here id only heard bad things but thought it would be bad for a different reason seeing the younger looking protagonist and more kid friendly appearing animation after coming off the beautifully and adult animated F91 and 0083. Of course any doubts as to its brutality are out the window but the second ep when the brotha sees a child that age fighting and in tears decides he doesn’t want to live in that world anymore and takes a grenade blowing himself up in front of Uso.
I do wish they’d animated the side story when an 80+ Judau in a gimped out ZZ aides Uso but maybe one of these days.

OG show had jokes and light-hearted moments. Zeta is the super depressing one. ZZ was just unfortunate to be the follow up to it.
@kindlingking honestly, I felt zeta had a light enough tone compared to the og. Maybe the og is just so separated in my mind because of amaro's constant whiplash he gives the audience.
@@joshua41175 Amuro stays relatively consistent, he just gets depressed and struggles to deal with it. I'd say his main coping mechanism is bottling everything up and dealing with it in the future, when he's not on the battlefield. Kamille is much more emotional and cannot just bury negative thoughts (at one moment he mentions how he can't stop seeing those he killed), which makes him lash out more often and eventually become less and less stable. After having to kill Rosemy he literally starts breaking apart as a person (there's a small scene where he opens his helmet in space without thinking), then loses Reccoa and more importantly Emma on top of that. And as the culmination he loses his mind completely after killing Scirocco. OG shows ends with our main crew mostly in tact and reunited, conflicts resolved and enemies defeated, where's in Zeta most of the crew and known characters are dead, mc is a vegetable, AEUG is barely standing and even through Titans were defeated there's still a looming threat of Neo Zeon.
Honestly, people call early episodes of ZZ overly comedic, but I think, if you look closer, they're super depressing too. Argama is barely holding together, it's crew is exhausted, many important characters we grew to associate with it are dead and yet they have to plunge into war again. And with yet another ragtag group of child soldiers. Seeing them later get confronted with gruesome reality of war and growing up from it is surprisingly cathartic in part thanks to their potrayal in early episodes.
