On a serious note, Nano Laminate is a coating on the actual armor. It’ll flake off eventually, probably very quickly too, considering how much firepower UC Mobile Armors are capable of. (I do get the joke, don’t r/whoooosh me)
Edit: and yes, the Nano Laminate could tank most handheld beam weaponry, but saying that it can shrug off particle cannons is like saying Gundarium Alloy can withstand a Dainsleif barrage. They’re both useful in a way, but both have their flaws.

there is no point for barbatos to immune to beam weapon if it doesnt have beam weapon itself, besides nano laminate armor is already exist on zeta gundam era specifically on hyaku shiki and its not that impressive

OMG So True. I'm a big fan for the fates series for a long time and have played FGO for over a year. I just recently started getting into gundam because of my boyfriend. I can definitely see that both of them are very similar to each other since both of a variety of spinoffs.

It may be actually overated at this point, but even though I never actually watched the anime, I just can't stand how absolutely beautiful the RX-0(mostly the first, but all three overall) is compared to his fellow titular Gundams. This MS is just art.

Re:Rise definitely caught most people of guard. It even got the 4th trending in Japan. No one expected it to be a good show but it actually did and is enjoyable.

On a serious note, in 2018 Sunrise announced that they will make a new season for 00. It's story revolves around the time after the movie. It's planned that Lockon (Neil) is revived by Setsuna (don't know how that works). Graham survived and become a Meister with his gundam being Exia Repair IV (the one on my pfp). And there's a clone of Tieria named Laetitia Erde who become a new Meister, his gundam is Dynames Repair III.
It's been two years after this announcement and there hasn't been any new news whatsoever.

I'm halfway through Victory and I am perplexed there is a single fan out there. This is coming from a Gundam X Stan.
I've really come to appreciate a lot of the MS designs, having built all HGUC Victory variants while desperately avoiding the RE/100 and MG kits because I only collect 1/144.

One of the things I love most about IBO is the Gundams themselves. Not just their presentation as ancient superweapons named after demons from the Ars Goetia, but also the sheer variety in their designs - it's amazing how wild they could go while still keeping them recognizable as Gundams.
G Gundam is absolutely stupendous.
It was the first Gundam to offer full range of motion for Gundam pilots in place of being stuck in a chair.

Build Fighters: A toy commercial with a good plot and that I would buy the DVD.

The closest answer back then may be Gundam NT-1 Pilot, Christina Mackenzie, or Stargazer Gundam Co-pilot, Selene McGriff, but they are not the protagonist of their shows.

Best Gundam shows in my opinion are; The original, Zeta, CCA, 0080, After war X, 08th MS team, Turn A, 00, Unicorn and Thunderbolt.

Only watched both seasons of IBO. I didn't like the 2nd season no matter how much the Gundam subreddit tried to convince me. Now, I'm on the first episode of the original Mobile Suit Gundam. So far, I'm liking it. The opening song is catchy.

as an IBO fan I can say the IBO part was the most accurate. I tend to cringe when some people say it has the strongest suits just because beam weapons won't wear down the nanolaminate coating on the armor.

That Thunderbolt hit me off guard
Idk what's that fuss about "It was the first Gundam I ever watched, so I'm going to be biased about it" ; I watched 00 as my first one and I thought it's a good show and moved on. IBO has an amazing aesthetic and each rewatch was bringing up something new. 0079 is where everything started and watching that enhances experience on every next one you watch, also IMO it portrays depression better than Evangelion, which isn't a bad thing about Evangelion, worse doesn't mean bad (and Zeta bested 0079 in that aspect), Zeta hit me extremely hard, because it shows how hard it is to be in a relationship with mentally scarred and emotionally unstable person, everytime I hear second op and the chorus comes in (the moment when Four appears on screen) I start to shed tears and collapse. Every. Time. People's hate towards ZZ is completely irrational, or maybe they're too edgy or something. Any GBF or GBD is several times more stupid and comedic than ZZ. Thunderbolt is excellent, but you HAVE to watch 0079 for full experience, also there's no continuation yet so you'll end up getting confused anyway. Unicorn, again, watch 0079 AND Zeta or at least read the Synopsis' on wiki so you'll spend less time on trying to comprehend what's going on and more time on appreciating those beautiful if not the best visuals and sountrack. In my conclusion, despite the age of some of them, in my opinion EVERY MSG show is worth watching. (P.S. I haven't watched any SEED yet, and based on everything I experienced until now my final opinion about MSG may change, so here it is)
The tragedy of SEED is that Destiny is unironically great for the first ~60% before devolving into an idiotic clownshow
ZZ is interesting because both of the western and eastern fanbase aren’t really fans of it. It’s seriously underrated because people say to skip it, but those same people say don’t skip JoJo parts. Like ZZ is more essential than Battle Tendancy.

The Double Zeta part couldn't have been better.
I started with G gundam. Then I watched Seed. Then I rewatched the original Gundam and Despite the cheesyness, it was the dang best one. I felt like I was watching a freaking war movie.

As someone who loves all of the series, I went from tears of laughter to pain and back again like it was a roller coaster.
Granpa 0078 fans would say: give the outdated graphics a chance, or watch the movies if you don't have time.
0083 could've used extra scenes to
develop Cima (rather than putting her backstory in some side materials), transitions could've been shoehorned. Also, Nina is the worst.
The Zeta fandom, rather than the OG 0078 would be the ones to force down your throat that UC and especially their series is the best, while saying Kamille is a man's name. Also, SLAP FIGHT!!!!
ZZ fans are the ones like Gintama/One Piece fans who say "it gets WAYYY better after Moon Moon!!!"
CCA fans unite in their hatred for Quess, and maybe also Hathaway and Gyunei. Personally, I couldn't a damn about Chan, and Gyunei had the best line so I didn't mind him and Hathaway.
The Gundam Wing one is perfection. More reasonable Gundam Wing fans will say the series is a convoluted mess by design, like real-world politics!

AGE fans are reasonable and accept the series's flaws (Kio "Jesus Yamato Jr.") but appreciate the ambition the series had. Don't forget to watch Memory of Eden.
Don’t forget that SEED fans don’t speak English. Anyways I’m pretty new to Gundam, but that first one describes me, except, I will add you can watch the movies, but you should watch the show. I’m going through Zeta now, and it’s probably my favorite.

Seed Destiny-I was and still is a big fan
00- one word... AWESOME.
Age- hit me hard (I cried when Bandai cancelled MG Age FX).
Build Fighters- brought the excitement of gunpla to me
Build Fighters Try- Love it
IBO- AWESOME (minus the fans who say nanolaminate makes IBO suits more powerful than others LOL).
Build Divers- almost there but died somewhere in the middle (I concluded that the buildverse magic ended with try)
Diver Re:Rise- oh god sunrise....please give me a proper series (but there were good designs in the show). Gave me a buildverse fatigue.

AGE was my first Gundam series I sat down and watched, but the Gundam Wing Epyon model kit was my introduction to Gundam as a whole.

UC elitist and IBO elitist probably the worst combination of fandoms
I'm glad I've never watched IBO if the fanbase is as Elitist as the UC fanbase. Though I would consider myself a UC Elitist myself but not because I consider it of superior quality vs other Gundam anime but as a History Buff, it's most definitely the most politically relevant to real world history. Definitely if you know your WWII and Cold War era history. Also the 80/90s OVA series are perhaps the most real, and really big Real to Real Robot for the Gundam Universe.

It just ticks me off when person says they like *insert timeline here* then the UC fandom or IBO fandom would go bat shit crazy explaining a full blown essay as to why IBO and the UC timeline is the best. I do like both the UC Series and IBO series it’s just the fandom.
