i absolutely love the awkard reaction one-frame pauses between lines of dialogue, those always made me crack when watching the series (which was waaay more dramatic than the films)
It has to be, in order to sell the drama, and it has more time to do it in 43 episodes than three movies. The pauses aren’t “awkward.” They allow a beat to let the information sink in, and considering that Gundam is animation, every movement or lack thereof is deliberate. There is a purpose to the pauses, is what I'm saying. There is not much funny about them, either. You must be ridiculously easy to “crack.”
