I just completed a carbon cleaning with an intake cleaner with PEA. Worked great. I have before and after pictures. All was good....right. WRONG. Oil analysis showed the hard particulate concentration in the oil skyrocketed from 2k to 120K. I change the oil and it dropped to 12K. My engine retains 10% of the oil. I flushed the oil again and another filter to get it down to 7k and another filter change brought it down to 4k. GDI soot is much different the diesel soot and much more difficult to remove and filter out and much more damaging. Use mechanical cleaning when ever possible. A chemical cleaning was done on my engine at 78K miles, at 87K it required a timing chain replacement due to so much wear and slippage.

Break the engine mounts due to carbon build up? LOOOOOOOOL

Anyone whos actually walnut blasted carbon build up knows that no chemical in the world would be able to remove the carbon build up on the valves. The stuff is so stuck you literally need a pick tool to help get around the edges of the valves as the walnut blasting still only picks up 85% of the build up .

Try some sodium hydroxide (oven cleaner) on it & see.

Winston from UK Carbon Clean did an epic job on my E46 325i. Felt INSTANTLY faster, pulled harder and revved more smoothly. Even sounds better! I highly recommend getting it done! Engine now feels like new despite 140k on the clock!

Smoke and Mirrors, Placebo Effect, Miss Direction ------ Pick one or all 3.
The HHO cleaning only cleans the tops of pistons and the face (bottom) of the intake and exhaust valves and the injector tips and that's it. Any noticeable change after this treatment is a short lived placebo effect and nothing more.
The only true way to clean the intake track/port and intake valves is by manual method with chemicals and pics or with media blasting with walnut shells. Walnut shell blasting for carbon cleaning has been adopted by corporate BMW as a regularly scheduled procedure.

Yh, I have 2 friends, both ex Audi mechanics with 38 years experience between them. I mentioned this about my S5 and they said don't bother, it may feel better after but not for long, it cleans maybe 10% of what it really needs. Also told me of a few horror stories. They offered me a full carbon clean for £400, call it mates rates, as Audi quoted me £1400

  • @NicktheBuffer

I don't know I just got it done the other day and my car runs brand new compared to what it was and I'm at about 86k.. I paid 90 bucks and I am certainly going back in about ten thousand miles and having done again. To me it's literally a tenth of the price and I don't have to spend my time or pay somebody else for their time just to crack open my motor and then dumped squirrel food in it but if you'd rather go that route shoot knock yourself out

@@ifyacantduckit7755 dump squirrel food in it… why order a supercharger for more power if its just going to put air bubbles in your engine. Get air from an electric leaf blower for real power.

@@ifyacantduckit7755 its all mental. IF you've ever walnut blasted , youll know that no chemical would just remove the carbon build up. Even when walnut blasting , it takes about 30 min per valve because you need to walnut blast 2-3 times each value, then use a pick tool to help loosen the carbon. Then repeat the walnut blast and vacuum.
Don't be so ignorant to think removing the intake manifold of the engine and putting it back together hurts it lmao. How do you think cars get maintained ... Thats like saying servicing the timing belt is not good because you have to open up the engine. When you shoot the walnut , you also have a vacuum connected to it . Fuel system cleanings are for idiots that get sold it . I use to work at Mr.lube and they use to tell us to sell it since their was just a huge markup on it.
