Cody Bryce huh? He’s saying whoever edited it, did a terrible job with the over saturated outs and how it all but loses the dynamic range the Sony engineers worked so hard to improve. It’s far too contrasty and loses a ton of the detail. I’m not even mad at the colors they chose, I don’t think it being unrealistic is the problem. But scaling back the lut strength by like 20 percent would’ve done miracles

He kinda ruined the colors.. Its looks like it was filmed with a typical DSLR with teal and orange LUT slapped on it..i would like to see the natural colours with some slight grade instead Just my honest opinion

Yes i would agree it is his style..But this is more of camera review show..He would have stayed with the most natural colors in my opinion.. I am big fan of ben Tk but he shouldnt have applied his unique luts into a camera that can capture amazing images..He would have gone for more natural looking colors..Again that is my opinion

No, you get different type of shooters that will use your camera in different ways. That way, for customers, we will look at the style that appeals to us the most, and get a sense of how the camera will look and act.
You need to try the "overheat improvement" in hot country or in summer... I wonder if you use it in 35 degrees above... and do the 4K long play... wonder how long it may take... :)

Friend, when everything below middle grey is pitch black and you can't see anything it's not about going out of your way to not give compliments. This is supposed to represent the camera and the brand, and the grade is garbage.
7:12 - Why do people insist on calling a well lit subject in a dark environment "low light". He's holding a torch with fire that is very bright, so he is pretty well lit up and naturally the surrounding is black. Any camera will look perfectly fine in this situation if you know how to expose the footage. The AF is pretty good though.
@POGLIFE That's not true in this case, because he mentioned in the video that most of the footage was shot in standard profile. The filmmaker here likes the contrasty and crushed shadows. Everyone has their own preference.
Great footage! What happened at 10:08? Youre talking about skin tones, but you look red. Was the white balance just set incorrectly? Or is this an issue? Also, some of the ferns were too yellow. Otherwise, great video; it's a great camera for sure.
Shame about the grade... a good colourist would have made this camera look even better. Insanely better. I'm sold, but not because of this film. Well done Sony. Bloody wicked machine.

Sony should show some love to David Oastler and put this camera in his wedding film hands. He's driven thousands of people to the Sony Brand all over the world. He loves the brand and has been offering them constructive criticism for years. The result? Sony seems to have ignored him or blackballed him from even reviewing their products. The funny thing is, Sony has quietly fixed all the issues that David's been telling them about in their entire camera lineup including the A7RIV and others, while adopting nearly every want of his as working professional shooter with the A7SIII. While the A7IV will most likely have all new benefits of the A7SIII with the articualting touch screen and other features, that might be the best for the hybrid shooter.

Natural colors out of camera would be garbage lol. Slog and HLg don’t look real at all. This grade would be fine if it wasn’t so over contrasty.
