Is there anyone else without a camera or a good phone camera that still watches these bids cuz its amazing?
Yep
No
Me
I wish I had a good camera
Yeah
Aye can we just s/o to Daniels girlfriend! She’s such a support. Not once did she get frustrated or inpatient with the making of this! Not everyone has that strong support system of them fulfilling their creative success. 👏🏼
She so lovely
She got his back 😋
True dat.
it probably got edited out of the video lol
She's actually a lil bit uninterested if you watched her face lol..
Holy crap, I have so much to learn
I know right. This vid was surprisingly packed with knowledge.
WHY DO WE WATCH SO MUCH SIMILAR CONTENT AHHHH
@@extrathicc78 For me its too learn. I'm trying to gain all the knowledge possible.
B-roll segments are so cool I started this channel just to do b-roll segments and master the art of b-roll
Seriously. Who knew?
*Objects + Actions = Shots*
Pretty simple like that )
Fala man, bom te ver estudando isso
Um…actually it’s: + Shot lists + shots + PP + music = final video.

You should do a whole tutorial on just the sound design!
Came to see if anyone else commented this, please!!! 🙏
The sound is pretty ordinary. Some whips and not so realistic, over the board sound effects of the actions. You can find these on free sound libraries and layer more than one sound of the the same action and tweak them a little bit (mostly equalise and little bit of compression).
This might give you some insight
th-cam.com/video/-DkYe2vsaEo/w-d-xo.html
He has a video with how he does it , not a full blown tutorial though
He did in fact
Would like to see Daniel do something outside of his typical product/food type stuff. Maybe a travel video, car ad, or some type of branding outdoors etc.
yeah, its getting old, funny thing he said once he needs to step out of his comfort genre, now is a good time.
That's not his expertise so I'm not sure why he'd do that. Look for another TH-camr
@@iaskaterwhos12 He might do that because big TH-cam channels typically mix it up over time to keep the audience engaged and he's very talented/skilled with a camera, so why not see those skills applied in other niches? It's not like he only films products...even old clips of his real estate shoots were sick
@@iaskaterwhos12 Thanks bro!!! I was just about to go there.
This is his thing though, and its more geared towards beginners. It works and he gets views and subs. I don't think working with actual clients is his thing, more just YT videos to make a living. Plus you can learn a bit from this channel and check out other youtubers for more ideas. But it does seem repetitive at this stage, he's covered all of this in the past and is just repackaging it into more videos.
As an advertising and still-life product photographer of 27 years about to transition into film ... this video seriously motivates and speaks to me ... I LOVE your approach, process and thoughtful approach to your video. I cannot WAIT to start my journey; thank you. 😁💯
How is your journey going? Got any social media for us to follow?
I always get overwhelmed with all the info to process during your videos. This helped IMMENSELY! Thank you so much for all the unbelievable free content!

Me whenever I watch Daniel pull off some fancy broll stuff
Wow. Just watched all. Again, super impressed. Wow.
Wow
Thank you Daniel Schiffer for never disappointing us with your content.
Insane how you make these everyday items so artistic. Awesome transitions!
i love how shes so serious, and its like he makes her do this all the time.
She doesn't look serious. Just neutral
He said they been practicing for thousands time so she must be bored doing all of that
she seems not interested to what he`s doing
Everything is clear and easy... but the problem is I don't have a girlfriend :(
Do you have a friend then?
@@raegan06 Quality will change then, Right?

Yeah
But you have a boyfriend:)

Haha. I was thinking the same. When having a boyfriend with a passion for something that he drags you into isn't always a good thing
Same feeling. Lamao

Bro this was just flat amazing the color grading, transition, thought process gone into this was just to good 😭🙏🏾
You blended the blender shot with the smoothie shot. You literally blended a shot of a blender. Amazing hahaha. This is why I love your stuff lol.
I still am not sure how he did it! It’s an absolutely insane shot!
@@lukeschroeder6112 The effect itself was just a cross dissolve. You can do those pretty easily! I just love the creativity that went into choosing a cross dissolve for that one particular transition.
Exactly that is what I was also checking out! Rewinded almost 5 times!
Blended the blender shot with the smoothie one to get a smooth transition, that some inception shit
Whoa! Haha
Hey it's Daniel Schiffer of House TH-cam, First of his name, King of B-roll, Master of handheld shots, and father of the blown minds. 🔥

The blending merging into pouring was so nice.
Отличное видео. Много почерпнул из него. Самое главное, что после таких виде-уроков начинаешь видеть и чувствовать такие моменты в жизни и фильмах. Отлично! Спасибо!!!

Whoa this was REALLY helpful. I've been so overwhelmed about making videos, but really feel like I need to do them for my business, and this helps break it down in a process that is duplicatable and also adaptable. Thank you so much!!!
This guy is soooo good at giving tips and tricks. He has helped a lot in giving me ideas on how to film better b-roll footage.
I make videos for a living for my channel, but they in no way have this cinematic element which I would love if they did! I stumbled upon this video and I do believe this channel will make me a better videographer and editor. :) Thanks!
I love your flips
Yeah, I agree. It seems like these tips could help even outside of product promotion vids.

Everything Daniel does is so damn smooth! I also love how he breaks down his process since it can be very easy to get lost and off-track when you're trying to film anything, let alone an epic b-roll sequence.
Amazing work. I love the organization and step by step approach. Thanks.
Whoaa the amount of effort n creativity is just amazing.. not to mention your willingness to share ths with us. Thanks Daniel
I love how it ended , it looks so great well composed and transitioned!
Cool. Love the sound of the metal straw on the glass and the transition from blending to filling up the glass. Plus the blade scene transition to spinning the top on epic.

The list prior is super important ! Gives you a check list of everything you need ! Great advice
So so informative!! The way you wrote down the object list and different actions in which you could film those.
I love seeing your b roll behind the scene shots, it really goes to show that there are no special or hidden techniques, its all about just knowing how to use your own gear and framing that shot well!
I’m a photographer and I’m levelling up my skills to video editing. I came across with this tutorial on B-roll and men! The tutorial was amazingly delivered! I’m a fan already hehe. I love the way you created these step by step tips and guidelines. Keep it up! Can’t wait for another one. From now on, I’ll be following you forever haha.
I love these kind of videos,
these videos are full of secrets and tips to improve the quality of our videos.
This was mind blowing! Saved it so I can come back and watch again. Great stuff for people like me who are getting started.
You should do a video on how you do Keyframes and Masking. I'm sure everyone would love it. Great video 👌🏻
All organic shots, just pure talent and skills bro. Amazing, im just literally mind blown by your way of taking the shots and handling the camera. such skill of perfection. Kudos to you and your team. And thank you for sharing the tips, for us small you tubers and young film makers, this brings us back to basics 101 that you cant have everything done by a studio or editor, there is that skill of creativity in making shots, setting up the lighting, backgrounds, props and just camera handling for a that outstanding scene. I definitely recommend your video to my friends. Thank you
I have a 5 yr old nephew and I make all of his videos, I edit them and I film them, learning this Broll techniques really made a huge difference. Thanks a lot.
In the middle of the video, i needed to stop to write a sincere “thank you” for explaining in detail 🙏🏼i really appreciate it ❤️
Step 1 is to write down all the objects and items that are going to appear in your video.
Step 2 is to write down all the actions that you can do with said objects.
Step 3 is to create a shot list around those actions that will serve as a rough guide, and...
Step 4 is the fun part and that is filming the video and getting those transitions.
Note: A lot of it is done on the fly but this will hopefully make it a lot easier.
Step 6: Sound design.
Wouldn't that mean Step 1: Get a pen and paper?
Step one is get a camera.
Thank you, Mr. Obvious. We appreciate your informative comment.@@Kryzvlogs
You're so smart. Can't get anything past you, can we? @@Lalune350z
Daniel sniffer you are so amazing, you inspire me every day.
Hes B - Roll king😆
Whoaa love how you break down these steps. Super useful. Thanks Dan!
Love your channel. You make everything crystal clear, and I don't feel talked down to. I don't know what it is, but there's a subtle condescending energy in the tutorial videos on many of the other channels. I don't know if the content providers are even aware of it. Or maybe because they're trying to be just a little bit too clever, original, or witty. Or maybe I'm just too sensitive. In any case, it feels like you're teaching in a very caring and professional manner, and I appreciate it very much. Thank you.
You're not sensitive! I totally agree and click off those videos.
Thank you. Love the simples steps that helps me understand how to plan. This is very helpful and video is amazing.
Im a new sub and man I’m like bing watching all your vids bro! Learning!!!! Thank you bro fr fr.
Daniel is just amazing. I'm becoming addicted to his videos 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Love to see the detail of planning and every shot. Thanks for sharing this knowledge, i will try to apply in my next cinematic video.
It should be noted to shoot a little bit wider so you can do those movement transitions that require a crop. ✌🏼
exactly, shooting in 4k when only needing full HD is really helpful for cropping without quality loss. imo way better than needing a tad better quality 4k video without having that crop-option!
Thanks! That's one of those things that you learn quickly from experience, but is easy to forget.
@@philruu the problem is in what u need for 4k rendering
Before watching the final video: "Damn, it's actually not that hard, I can do that"
.
.
After watching the final video: " Holy shit, how did he come up with that ?!"
actually, look at the plan. Daniel knows which objects and scenes will be used in advance on paper and just during the shooting he thinks about the editing. If you look at the final product it is then just few zoom in n outs, slowmo, motion blur and sound/gfx. The whole preparation phrase makes editing so easy if you have good shots.
Yeaahh... agree with you . This look so hard before watching this video 👍. Another refrence for my wife's vlog.
Mr. Drunky exactly 😅😅😅I tried ... not even close 😬☹️🙄
the hard part for me is the smooth handheld work. I just can't do it. I have jittery arms or something...as much as I try, never looks good.
I think that Daniel's skill is being the master of handheld action.
Brandon Li can use the super long pole to get his shots, and is awesome with a gimble
Some are better than others...and they are the pros

This is so cool with the sound design, camera transitions , cuts, directional blur ..... wow 😯
Epic as usual! Would love to see a second video on this about your editing process and more in depth about those key frames and speed ramps in FCPX
That would be a great video. Especially about that transition on 10:01
Awesome break down
loved that part when after blending scene merges with the pouring shot, Awesome.
I'm just going to thank every TH-camr I learn more from in one video than I did from 5 classes from one of my professors. Thank you
Is nobody commenting on how he shot and edited this video of shooting and editing a video? Dude did double the work. Guessing he did the same list and what not for this TH-cam video.
Haha that's some meta stuff right there.
Prolly outsources it to a second editor, I highly doubt he does it himself
Dude is a god
Sarah's total disinterest in all of it 🤣
She will probably ask our boy for a cut XD
actually i feel like she's so professional in this kind of situation :))) I imagine myself, if my husband was trying to do such a video i would probably talk non stop and give him suggestions :))) so yea, Sarah's "disinterest" is a good thing :))
Her body language and disinterest shows lol. Shed probably love a nice drive outside and to shop for some new clothes, interacting with friends. But she’s held CAPTIVE to the broll making
@@jkaye87 I just joked about her a little bit... Maybe she doesnt know anything about this and she is feeling bored. But we shouldnt talk about her like this. Its not good.
@@casandrasy7097 Hahaha same, my girlfriend helps me too and she says none all shooting process but when I'm stuck I ask her for suggestions. Its better that way I guess, works for me and she.

I really love these , behind the scenes type of work ,keep going
The final result is fun and dynamic! Love the movement and the sound effects. Thanks for showing the process. I am going to shoot something with iPhone, to practice the process.
th-cam.com/video/hnwXbJbMwW4/w-d-xo.html
The real battle is keeping these handheld shots in focus 🥵
It's not so hard. Once you focus your object, keep the same distance from the camera to the main object while you're recording.
murd777 But if you’re filming towards the object??
Use auto focus lock or manual focus
Not if you're using a Sony lol - the AF system is INSANE
@@rhysharper8967 Yeah but shots like these usually has to work with manual focus cause most of the time the focus gets to the face in background.
I love this workflow! Thank you SO much for sharing!
