    During late august of 2021 i went on a journey that would change my life forever. It was my first ever solo trip as well as my first overnight wild camping experience. I spent 2 weeks hiking through the Alps of Switzerland, going up and down every day, swimming in freezing waters and setting up my tent in the most surreal locations i could ever imagine, in total covering more than 100 miles. Safe to say that this trip meant a lot to me and i can't wait to hit the trail again.
    When it came to editing this video it was no easy task especially when you have 7 hours of footage, the first 2 weeks i spent just thinking which clip to put first in the timeline, i knew what kind of a video i wanted and i did a lot of planning but despite that it still felt like a black piece of paper, now almost 1 and a half months later i'm finally happy with it and i'm super stoked to show it to your here on youtube, any feedback wether positive or negative will be greatly appreciated and if you could share this video amongst your friends and followers it would mean the world to me.
    if you have any questions about the film, the shooting or editing process, or my hiking experience feel free to ask in the comments which i will cover in an upcoming behind the scenes video

    I don’t know how many have noticed that almost all clips are hard cuts and no special effects. Also, almost all are recorded on a tripod. No gimbal. The narration and the scenes felt interwoven. Amazing work on all aspects. 👌🏻

    "They will call you quiet because you're perfectly happy in silence. They will call you weak because you avoid conflict and drama. They will call you boring for not being an extrovert. They will call you wrong for having different beliefs. They will call you a loner because you're comfortable being on your own. They will call you lost for not following the same route as others... Let them call you what they want, you don't have to play the part they want you to play."

      but people are quiet when they need to speak up when there is a wrong situation going on, people are weak when the situation demand you to be strong in the name of equality and justice, people are boring and unimaginative when expose to new possibilities. People want to be alone because they cannot take the pressure of being responsible to someone other than themselves. People take the wrong path just to prove a point rooted in faulty ideologic.

    • @contractassassin
      @contractassassin ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dutchmilk not being responsible for anyone is a very great thing why would I wanna be responsible for other human being when I can enjoy life by myself . Marriage is bullshit

    • @Techarium
      @Techarium 9 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@dutchmilkbut what if most of the situations in the person's life don't need for them to be not alone, to be strong, to be not boring, to be extroverted etc, but they're still expected/forced to just because of social norms and stereotypes? It isn't always escapism. So one could respond by saying: if there isn't a need and still you're forced to do this, then you've made a mess of your own life and given away your freedom. - So that is why we claim what is ours back and get going alone. Getting rid of the mess. Get creative in our own ways, as our own situations demand. Not the creativity that's pre-determined to be in a box by others.

      So much incredible technique working, so little to say. Oh wait, It's a commercial - ok, sb will buy it. The problem with todays young storytellers is; they have all the equipment in their hands - but are totally confused about what's making stories really is: expression of the emotions ppl experience when they see, the single, the individual story is just a not a single thing, it's about all of us; that's the core of
      the old saying: there is no better way to beginn a story than: Once upon a time, there was.... Truth is, you will be judged for your blabla... This world of telling is on an horrible downward spirale, where ppl. can't discern anymore the easiest things concerning the meanings of their lifeless overaesthetically blown up artworks...

    That's what you call simplitcity at its best. No fancy transitions, not much camera movements but man, all I can see is it was so engaging and so moving that I wanna go on another solo trip and film something like this. People might not know but it takes a lot to film yourself at such higher altitudes as you're already tired physically and mentally that it makes you wanna give up and also makes you end on a creative block because of all the fatigue. But kudos to you man that you managed to keep up with everything and create so much beautifully composed shots.

    Thank you. This movie is outstanding on so many levels. The footage, the editing and the color grading all work together to capture the viewers attention so the message can both be heard and felt as each scene unfolds. Well done. On a personal note I grew up in the analog era well before the internet came along and I never felt my childhood suffered from the lack of connectivity we have today, but after watching this video I can say it would have been nice knowing there were others like me out there. I spent most of my youth exploring the woods, rivers and streams near my home because it gave me a freedom and comfort I couldn’t find anywhere else. Cheers!

    " Even a bad day of hiking is a day you will remember." Love that. goes to show what happens when we open up our perspective of being in the moment, instead of finding things to pass the time. The reason that those certain activities we find to pass the time, is because we are choosing to disconnect. Not always a bad thing, but how much more powerful is the message that this video shows, that being; instead of choosing to disconnect we are choosing to .. connect. Excellent work. Thanks for the message.

    Hi, guys!! So Sorry for not replying to any comments for the last month. Our channel got hacked and we got it back only today. We still need to have some discussions with TH-cam, but I am glad all of you enjoyed this massive project we had been working on for a while! Quite sad that it blew up just as we got hacked! :D We will try to answer as many questions as we can now!
    Would you guys be interested in a video: OUR FAVORITE LENSES?

    You made a beautiful film. I love how you didn't rely on fancy camera movement. Static shots. Let the scene speak for itself. Your message really resonated with me!

    They will call you wrong for having different beliefs. They will call you a loner because you are comfortable being on your own. They will call you lost for not following the same route as others . Let them call you what they want, you don't have to play the part they want you to play !
    Sometimes you just chose to take a path less walked !
    Being born in a small town like mine, i've always been around busy streets which i used to enjoy while growing up, the hustle bustle, the crowded corner . The older i grow, the more i crave silence, empty streets, away from crowded narrow corners, the noises, the people, 100s of voices, opinions, judgement.
    I've been home and never felt the comfort at home. Sometimes even taking showers was so difficult! That's how you start to appreciate the small things in life. This was the time, ever since which i had started craving nature and a desire to travel !
    Never got a chance to see places, appreciate the beauty of nature, find home within oneself , not others, find contentment in oneself , not what the world asks you to be ! Fall in love with yourself , not what others wanted you to become.
    Sometimes it takes years to build those boundaries, be yourself and unlearn what people told you to accept and tolerate !
    Can't imagine what it would be like unravelling your deepest fears trekking through the mountains, silence of the valleys, into the abyss of the ocean.
