I bought a ZR2 about 2 months ago and LOVE IT! Drove the Raptor, GMC AT4X, and even looked at the Ford Black Widow and Rocky Ridge editions. The ZR2 by far is the sharpest looking to me. No regrets. Plenty of power, lots of cool tech, and killer looks! Mine is white with the black hood scoop. Added after market exhuast and low profile step rails (not like the ones in this video).
That sounds like an awesome ride! I’m surprised Chevy hasn’t entered the super truck game with the TRX and Raptor R now having been in production for a while. Thanks for watching! 🙂

Being able to go on muddy roads, fields is why I got for work as an independent crop consultant and it does not disappoint! I’ll probably try the 3.0 LZO on next one for better fuel economy and less cost to drive as diesel is on average $0.30/gal less than 93 octane.
I've never had a full size truck and I kinda want all that extra space and comfort. If Chevy makes one of these with a supercharged 6.2 or something with insane horsepower and the wide bulldog stance then I'll trade in my Colorado ZR2 (again) and get one.

Easily one of the best if not the best looking full size truck going today but what I have yet to understand is why do the big 3 not allow you to get anything other than the massive crew cabs and short bed configuration? Wouldnt it make more sense to have at least an extended cab with a 'short' or 'regular' bed in an dedicated off road package?
These trucks are great - I'd love to own one. It's just a shock to realize even if you can muster a $50,000 down payment (yikes), you're still looking at financing about $25k.
Im gonna have to disagree with you on this one boss. Only a 5 1/2’ bed length, less than 2000lbs payload, less than 10k towing, only 6 lug wheels. All for over 70k, that thing is hardly a truck for all those bucks

Nice review of the ZR2. Its not for me, seems to be dated for 2024 model. 400 mile of range at best with a premium fuel at $5 a gal is painful. This ICE truck will not hold its value for very long. The other variants of the Chevy Silverado EV line up is looking more interesting if you are going with the pricey $80k range. I think it would be better to charge at home every night than tank up twice a week and still get the same or better performance out of the truck.
Comparing the 75K ZR2 to the 80K Silverado EV is like comparing apple to oranges, the ZR2 can go places the EV can't even dream of off road. If you want a fair comparison, the 55K LT w/ 3.0 diesel (29mpg) vs the 80K EV, the 55K LT w/3.0 D has a range of 696 miles vs 450 miles on the EV, the EV is the work truck and the LT is a mid trim with more options included. I am NOT against EVs, once we start comparing apples to apples, I'll be the first in line to get one, but we're not there yet, peace.
Who will foot the bill for the replacement of those EV batteries once they die? It also takes less than five mins to fill up the tank vs 30 mins for a partial charge.
In 2021 you could get a Silverado Trail Boss with a 6.2 liter for 49,400 dollars,, my new 23 Colorado trail boss was 41,200 it’s a mid size truck but not much smaller than a ful size Silverado,,, and actually bigger than older full-size trucks or at least taller a little narrower, cause my new Colorado towers over my 02 Silverado! Agreed! And congrats on the new Colorado! I video’d one a few weeks ago and it felt great. I’ve owned a 2nd and 3rd gen Tacomas in the past and really like the mid sized. Have filling up that 24 gallon tank every 2 hours with that fuel economy. I would actually consider this truck if GM would get their heads out of their asses and put a real fuel tank on it like Ford. Some of us tow things and hunt in rural areas where gas stations are few and far between, unlike the suburban Kevins driving these.
