I lived in Japan for 2 and a bit years - but the apartment wasn't half the size of yours and we kept things so compact, but still when we moved we had to sell 3/4 of the stuff we had! The entrance was sketchy (do they plan to remodel that part?) The apartment was nice and spacious. how much? distance from center?
We are in the city center, and they won’t remodel the front because these are old lane houses which are very common.
From all your belongings in Suzhou apartment, I can tell that you've live there for over than 10 years :)

downstairs looks terrible. i would have been turned away by it before I check out the apartment.
Thankfully we didn’t let that stop us! It’s a very nice apartment and we are happy with it 🤗
